This is an updated review. Missing item once again. Used to order from here a lot but haven't ordering much since they messed up my order so many times in the past. I was craving some clams so I ordered clams, mussels and of course. Most of add on items are missing again. No way to opt for re- delivery of missing item. Reached out to the store and the response and customer service staff didn't really care for the mistake. Clams are also poor quality, half of the clams were closed shut. They were attached to the shell, very difficult and some were impossible to detach from the shells. Waste of $45 should have known better. Don't recommend this place at all. read more

Used to really enjoy coming here but it has changed in recent years. We brought out of town family here and the service was awful. The food was even worse. The trifecta sauce used to be thick, garlicky, and so flavorful. Now it's just watery and spicy. The rice was dry. The seafood did not taste fresh. None of the servers looked like they were happy to be there and treated us like they wished we weren't there. With the prices you're paying, it's not worth it. Will probably never come back since there are now many places in the valley that serve this type of seafood. Oh well. Thanks for the memories! read more

I came here the other night for dinner and could not have had a better restaurant experience. My waiter Ben was amazing. He was on top of refilling drinks constantly. Good spot for seafood. I usually make my own but this is a good place with a lot of options. They do quite a few events too so they are involved in the community which is nice. Service is great and it's a family friendly place as well. We get drinks while we wait on a table and the seafood has never disappointed. Great space for lunch or date night! Clam chowder is good and the answer the phone ! I call to check when the fresh or live seafood options come in and they are ready with answers all the time! One of the worst meals and experience I've even had ever the waitress was no where to be found it sucked

I've been here plenty of time but, this past Thursday 12/12 after work, was my first time eating alone. I told the Host up front although, my Server Melinda (?) was busy she was very attentive. Last minute trip to the area and what a great dinner. We arrived just before the dinner rush and was seated right away. As we left the place was getting busy and there was a line. We shared a crab boil and hush puppies. The boil had lobster, crab, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes. With trifecta seasoning and no heat. Not sure if the quality has gone down due to lack of cooks or what. I have eaten at this location a few times in the past and it was always good. My most recent experience was not great. Service was good and the place was fairly clean. But the food was not good. At all. I got a shrimp and crab leg boil with trifecta medium sauce, a crab leg boil with lemon pepper medium sauce, kids chicken tenders, kids cod meal, and charred oysters. The kids meals were good and fresh. The oysters were horrible. They had a thick layer of Parmesan cheese. When I've had them in the past, it was with grated Parmesan. Underneath the cheese, the oysters were not charred at all. They were just like having oysters with melted cheese. There was no taste of the garlic butter. The seafood boil water was flavorless and oily. My corn, eggs, and potatoes were forgotten but the waitress was quick and nice about fixing that error. First off the only reason I am giving this restaurant a "2" is due to the impeccable service by our waitress Deanna. First impressions are important. The hostess was rude and had no smile when welcoming us in. Deanna was very welcoming, on point throughout the meal getting us refills, and anything else we may need. Two different boils were ordered, as well as a po boy with fries. This food is sub par if that. These boils need some major work as well as the po boy nothing to speak of and we have had many boils due to being from out of town. Lastly, the quality of food being served does not justify prices at all. Pleas make changes! read more

Enjoyed the food here on New Years. Wasn't expecting much but got a great deal on crab. Everything was super flavorful. My biggest compliment goes to the crab cake the stole the show. I don't know how it was so flavorful with only being crab meat no breading. It was so light and didn't make you feel heavy like normal fried crab cakes. read more

I was looking for a good place for soup and salad. I was craving gumbo and found this on Yelp. Their gumbo is actually not that bad. I mean you can't compare to gumbo in New Orleans. They did have a good selection of crab boils, fried calamari and fish options. I just wasn't hungry enough. Maybe I will come back and try the other items another night. read more

Yesterday afternoon was my first time attending Crab Shack, usually I go to Hot N Juciy. But I wanted to give crab shack a try. I order my food and the sauce/ flavor was not pleasant at all, none of the sides. Me and my husband ignored the sides and just ate our main seafood with lots of lemon to mask the taste of the sauce. Which isn't their fault since I'm the one who chose the sauce. That wasn't the problem. I took one bite of the sausage and it'll the texture was super funny, I ignore it and pore a bunch of lemon and sausage to try to make it taste better, ended up not eating anymore after 2. I ended up throwing it up soon after into a napkin. We continued with the night and later when we're home I re warm my food up till it is steaming hot. And I adding my own seasonings to see if I'll like the sides then. The side were good with a new flavor, but again after a few bites of the sausage I'm throw up immediately. Mind you I've been throwing up ever since I got home from crab shack. I thought it was just because my PREGNANCY sickness. But the sausage feels spongy. I continue to rip open All my sausages and they're RAW . Which was causing me to throw up all night. This is extremely unacceptable having RAW MEAT. Especially with me having a high risk pregnancy, and this causing me to be more sick than I'm already am all day. Their service is great but the quality of the food is 4/10 to me. I have to cancel my ultrasound in the morning because how sick the raw meat have gotten me. This really discourages me because my favorite part of a boil is the sausage usually. read more

I was excited to try this restaurant because many of the reviews were positive. But I believe the positive reviews are only for the fresh fish. My husband and I chose to have the crab cake sandwich, fish-and-chips and the sampler as the appetizer. It seems to me that the restaurant is using old or very dirty oil as all of the fried items all had the same color, the same taste and was served to us burned. I would never serve food like this to anyone, anywhere, ever! The fries that were served were supposed to be Cajun fries, and they tasted just like dirty oil with salt on it. Nothing cajun about it. The Cole slaw seemed to come from right out of a salad bag with no taste, no flavoring whatsoever. The crab cake was so dark bordering on black and my husband said he didn't taste any crab at all. It's possible there was crab in that crab cake but because it was likely cooked in the same oil as all the other food, it was burned, had no flavor, and the crab was indistinguishable within the sandwich. We came in after the lunch hour and before the dinner hour. There were 3 other customers in the restaurant while we were there. There was no reason, absolutely none whatsoever, why we should have been served food that looked and tasted like this. The server Liz was very attentive, got our items to us, and checked in on us, but she did forget to give us water. The one star was for the good music, but we would not visit again. We spent over $50 for the meal, not including tip. Now we know why it's called the Angry Crab- you most certainly do leave angry! read more

What happened to the Angry Crab I loved. I used to, so look forward to Sunday afternoons taking a seat at the Bar having a beer or two and eating great food with amazing service. Recently went . Wasn't busy. I asked for a recommendation on an IPA and was brought a Stout. When pointing this out to the bartender she said " well im not really an IPA person . So I wouldn't know". Then acted annoyed when I asked for it to be swapped out. My oysters arrived with no condiments or silverware. Of course now no bartender. She was off to the side eating out of a to go box . This continued for awhile. I ordered a little more food . It was prepared and sat on the shelf while she continued eating. Wasn't until I asked her to please grab it. Did I then get it. My advice? Just don't go on a Sunday afternoon around 2 or 3 because apparently that's employee time. read more

Wanted to try a seafood boil spot in Az. Came upon this spot. We all practically ordered the same thing except different levels of spice. AZ HEAT is waaay different from cali. I got the level 4 on my ceawfish and man it was super super spicy. My spice level is pretty high too. But i love it. My friends all got level 2 and 3. Friendly service here. If angry is a bad thing, then I love it because it's delicious! I had been craving some seafood and wandered in here after an arduous google search for some good eats. Why I love this place: a large variety of seafood options, and you can tailor your seasoning and the spice level (and if you choose no spice, you don't lose out on flavor). There is also a variety if sandwich options and appetizers to suit your fancy as well. If you plan on getting any seafood, I recommend the trifecta sauce. It's a mix of lemon pepper, cajun, and garlic. It's delicious! Also - the angry edamame comes with this seasoning as well. The po-boys are good as well. I tried the crab po-boy, and it was delicious! Then a pound of shrimp with the trifecta sauce is pure deliciousness! You really can't go wrong with anything here. Everything comes out fast, delicious, and great. The staff is fun and friendly, and their customer service is awesome! And a little tip(s) - make sure to ask for gloves, if you want to protect your hands! Angry Crab Shack was a phenomenal experience. Having only a mediocre boil place in Portland, it was worth a try since Angry Crab Shack has so many locations. We got the crispy Cajun fries and the seasoning was spot on. None of the fries were seasoned more than the other and the spices were fantastic. The boil was also great. We got the mild trifecta and the flavor was good and a good amount of lite spice that made for easy eating. I feel that the boil for two was a great value as you get a lot of seafood for $115. Also, service was fantastic and there was no wait to get seated. I will be visiting again the next time I'm in town. read more

Horrible service. The server got our food order wrong twice. I ordered the snow crab with shrimp. The server forgot my shrimp and when it came, there were two potatoes in them and it was the wrong sauce. I never ordered the potatoes but the server still charged me. The server also forgot my coleslaw. Definitely taking away stars for the horrible food service. The coleslaw was too thick. It was not worth ordering. The snow crab and shrimp tastes great. Snow crab was definitely worth ordering. My friend ordered crawfish and clams. The clams were not prep well and tastes weird. The crawfish didn't really have a taste. Visited after a fun day with my kid and her best friend. I ordered snow crab and shrimp, my kid ordered a chicken sandwich and her friend ordered snow crab. The seafood was cooked to perfection, the potatoes were soo good. It was messy as it always is but, it's definitely worth it. I only gave this a 4 star because the spicy chicken sandwich wasn't good. It was awfully greasy and tasted like breading and grease. I wish it would have been better because my daughter doesn't really like seafood. The Pepsi was pretty flat. But, drinkable. I had been a frequent customer of Angry Crab for years. I came in around 7:30pm with my daughter 10/19/22. Midway through eating our meal my daughter looked down and saw a roach crawling on the side of the table. We immediately got up and called the hostess over. She made an attempt to kill the roach but it got away. She calls the manager over and he states he will discount the bill. I was livid and disgusted that he insisted we pay 50% of the bill and then offered me an appetizer on our next visit. NO THANKS!! I will not be returning. I paid the 50% of the bill and walked out feeling disgusted and wanting to throw up. He said they exterminate every 2 weeks and the roach must've come in from outside. Did not like that you had to calculate market price for each item prices listed on a board you couldn't really see. I've been to similar style eatery and it's so much simpler, where prices are quoted by the 1/2 lb of each item so you already know what you in for. I had the shrimp & grits, certainly not like a GA version, seemed like it had mashed potatoes in it. The overall flavor was good. The host in the front seemed angrier than the crab. My 5 year old daughter didn't want to eat anything off the menu, so I told her she could try some of my food since she wasn't that hungry. I had shared a crab broil for 2 with my son. Everything was fine, the broils were a tad expensive compared to the quantity, but that was expected. What I didn't expect, was our waitress added 18% gratuity to our tab! She knew damn well she didn't deserve an 18% tip since she hardly came around. Our drinks were left empty more than once and for quite sometime! She wasn't even the one who brought out the food! Plus my daughter didn't even eat! All she had was a soda and took a few shrimps off my portion! But since there was 6 of us, she decided to cash in. So I just wrote two less than stellar reviews for other AC locations based on their current social distancing/safety measures, buuuuuut this is my main location and I haven't gone during the pandemic so I can write a permanent, all encompassing review here on how much I love the food at Angry Crab. First off, you must get the trifecta sauce. It's the combo of garlic, Cajun, and the lemon pepper sauce. I like it mild or medium but be forewarned, the mild is kind of a medium and the medium is kind of a hot. If you're only into moderately spicy food, level down here. The sauce is so good though and what makes the whole experience though, and you won't be disappointed. My favorite thing here is the snow crab. I get it 100% of the time I get angry crab. I also love the lobster tails, shrimp, and corn. The bread is always worth it too. This is a fun and super messy experience. Great place to come with a friend, and a great place to take those people in your life that can't put their phones down because it's messy AF and you'll ruin your phone if you even try. Also - your hands are going to smell like garlic crustacean for days. Embrace it. read more

First time eating at angry crab because my husband and I were visiting from CA. We came on a weekday dinner and were seated immediately. Miranda was our server (thank you!!!) who served us very promptly. We got a pound of shrimp head on with crispy tofu in the trifecta sauce (highly recommend). Shrimp was perfectly cooked. At some places, I would find overcooked shrimp or shrimp that was not as fresh. One thing to add is that I noticed they also cut off most of the rostrum (pointy part of the head of shrimp) which I appreciate. We decided to try the crispy tofu because why not? I've never seen it as a menu item in any other places like angry crab. They gave a generous amount for my husband and I to share and it soaked up the sauces.
