Now that it's cold in Seattle, it means noodle soup is a must. I tried this new Cambodian restaurant in the University District, and it hit the spot! I got the Cambodian Phnom Penh Noodle Soup. They give you quite a bit of meat and ingredients in your noodle soup. Overall I would come back to try their other dishes! read more

Was craving some Khmer food when visiting Seattle. Searched up yelp and this restaurant popped up since it was close to our proximity. We were so happy to even experience a Khmer restaurant because there's none in Hawaii. We ordered the somlar machu kreung, prahok ktiss, and their cha kreung chicken that was on special. Everything was delicious and because we had leftovers, I really wanted ask them to pack it up for the plane ride home lol. Service was amazing and I was so happy to hear them speak Khmer because I rarely get to hear it back home. The decor was cute and floral, which I loved. I will definitely return again and recommend this place. read more

We were in early afternoon and it was mostly empty, but a steady stream of delivery drivers came in and we were never alone in the restaurant. It was clean and they were friendly, fast and I liked the atmosphere. The location has paid parking across the street. This place should be much busier as the food is fabulous. My wife is Cambodian and she really enjoyed the food and wants to go back when we visit Seattle again. read more

I chose this restuarant die to looking for something different and in the proximity of the Neptune Theater. We ordered the steak salad and sweet and sour soup with tomatoes and pineapple (chicken). The soup was perfectly balanced and delicious. The salad was also excellent. I would come here again if I were in the area. read more

I would recommend this place to anyone that has taste. The food AMAZING, the owner and staff are also AMAZING. Please support small businesses we need more people like them in our lives. read more

I was very happy and excited to try Angkor Wok due to my Cambodian heritage. The restaurant is located in University District near University of Washington in Seattle and offers an extensive menu that reaches beyond Khmer cuisine; for my first visit I stuck to Khmer dishes and they all tasted authentic and flavorful. It seems that the restaurant is family owned - I hope they continue to do well and look forward to future visits. Specific dishes we tried include: * Cambodian Noodle Soup - a lunchtime staple, the dish came authentically prepared with a variety of goodies in the noodle bowl (shrimp, bean sprouts, etc.) and broth on the side. Overall flavorful and a reasonable serving size. * Samlaw Mchu Kreung - also a Cambodian staple, sort of a soup with pork meat that can be served over rice. I was happily surprised with this one, especially the taste and freshness of the spices. Some restaurants I've been to have struggled to produce this dish with that homemade authentic flavor. It was really quite good and I hope to eat it again soon! * Prahok Ktiss with Vegetables - another Cambodian classic, but not for the faint of heart - the dish is based off a paste of fermented fish which can have a pungent smell to some. It is then lathered with a multitude of curry-like spices and an abundance of coconut milk, and prepared as a dip for the veggies. This one also tasted quite authentic and was served in a generous portion size. I would have preferred a tiny bit more coconut taste, but all things considered it had lots of great flavor and taste. I'm hoping to return soon to support the Cambodian community and try additional dishes on the menu. Overall, I recommend giving the place a taste! read more

I love eating here! After every hospital trip, this place is honestly the highlight of my day. The food is so good and comforting. The atmosphere is really nice and spacious, and the service is okay depending on your waiter. But, I definitely recommend checking it out! :) read more

I unfortunately don't remember the names of the dishes but I had a fish soup and my friend had tofu fried rice and they were both delicious. The owners were very kind and checked in with us to make sure the food was to our liking and to meet any dietary restrictions we had. I will definitely come back and try more things on the menu. There is paid street parking out front which is free on evenings and Sundays. read more

TLC NEW YEAR SPECIAL @angkorwok_uw 1100 NE 45th St, Suite 110, Seattle, WA * This past weekend was TLC (Thai, Laos, Cambodian) New Year and @jennayylim took us to celebrate with her a couple weekends ago at @angkorwok_uw . We always know it's going to be a good meal when we go with her and needless to say it was bomb ! @angkorwok_uw is so good that Sam said it's in his Top 5 Restaurants in Seattle . * Here's what we got: Real Mango Smoothie Real Lychee Smoothie Angkor Chicken Wings House Special Beef Skewers Prohok Ktis (Pork & Coconut Cream) Kor Koh (Braised Beef Stew) Pleah (Beef Salad) Fish Somloh Manchu Youn (Sweet & Sour Fish Soup) Beef Cha Kreung (Stir Fried Lemongrass Beef) * Everything we had was super flavorful, fresh tasting, and perfect for sharing! We all loved the Angkor Chicken Wings - crispy, juicy meat, and a nice sweet and spicy glaze on the outside and the House Special Beef Skewers - tender, well marinated, and majorly addicting . Sam's personal favorite was the Fish Somloh Manchu - light fish flavor, refreshing, and a great palette cleanser and stomach soother . My personal favorites were a three way tie between Prohok Ktis, Kor Koh, and Pleah. The Prohok Ktis had juicy pieces of pork balanced my the coconut cream, the Kor Koh was a comforting beef stew that was great dipped with the French bread, and the Pleah was slightly tangy from the beef and dressing that complemented the crispness of the veggies . * @angkorwok_uw is having a TLC New Year special for 20% off your orders for the rest of the month of April . Definitely go and support them as we will be back for sure! Next time I want to try their Cambodian Hot Pot, Stuffed Wings, and other soups ! #eatswitherinn #cambodianfood #khmer read more

Came to visit Seattle all the way from Lowell, MA and I have to say this restaurant is more authentic and consistently delicious in all their dishes & so much better compared to the Cambodian restaurants in Lowell.. and that speaks volumes since Lowell has the 2nd most Cambodian population in the US whereas Angkor Wok in Seattle is a 11/10 for food and 10/10 for decor and ambience and 10/10 for customer service. Thank you Angkor Wok for helping to make Cambodian cuisine more well known for people to try. They have super cute backdrops for pictures and good space for booking small-medium sized parties. I'm still dreaming about the delicious Yao hon hot pot, hot and fresh beef sticks and yummy Khmer Pandan jelly drink. read more

This place is a little out of the way from the Ave but it's got great decor and food! I had the kor koh with french bread which is basically braised beef stew. It was superb and the service was great too. You'll feel like you're in a slice of Cambodia! There's also various other asian dishes as well so you can probably get whatever asian food you'd desire. Check it out! read more

The food is excellent and the portions for it is great for sharing and I loved the ambiance and the service is good on my first time

Will never ever dine here again. I ordered a couple dishes. and of course, no surprise they can't even get it right. it was the wrong ingredients/missing ingredient. What a shame. Their excuse was the other chef is not in today. so I went there another time and I guess the waitress remembered me. Say less, but she gave me the ugly look so yeah never again I'm going to Phnom Penh noodle house from now on. read more

Very cute restaurant! If you are in the mood for authentic Cambodian food, this is the place! Not only do they have Cambodian food options, but also Taiwanese/Asian fusion choices. Plenty of options for this Cambodian out of towner. We had the Phnom Penh Noodle Soup, Phnom Penh Egg Noodle Soup, and Papaya Salad. Everything came out so fresh and tasty. Like a home cooked meal! New restaurant took over taike kitchen! Kept some of the stuff from taike (eg. Popcorn chicken) and added a bunch of Cambodian dishes. Ordered the egg noodles dry and it was yummy! We also had the lemongrass chicken bento, which was well seasoned and tasty as well! Overall a great experience, they are a a little off the beaten path in u district but has proven to be worth the visit! Check out the other stuff in the menu, it's pretty big! read more

I am a frequent Yelper and rarely does Yelp lead me wrong. Today, however, I was destroyed with disappointment. This place has such potential. The food was good and the place is nice. The service, however, was devastatingly terrible. Not only did the food not come for 45 minutes when we were one of four tables in use for lunch, but no one checked in on us at all the entire time or let us know the status of the food. We ordered two dishes, and only one had come by the time we paid and left. No one apologized for the slow service or gave us a discount or even mentioned why it had been so terrible. I hope Angkor Wok does well, but they must invest more in quality service. read more

By far one of the most best restaurants in uw. The food and environment was very chill and nice. Definitely one of the best calimari I've ever had, the dipping sauce they serve on the side pairs very well. We also got the noodle soup and the lemongrass chicken and it couldn't have tasted any better. Definitely an under rated restaurant. A hidden gem for sure. read more

Pricey for the portion, protein content. The flavor is ok, not worth coming back. I ordered the Cha Mi Sorh, extremely disappointed with the dish. $24.95, way over price. Very little protein and portion. Nearly $10 more than Thai or Chinese noodle dish but half the portion and very skimpy on the meats. Many places serve whole shrimp, this was a small shrimp cut into smaller prices. Felt totally ripped off. One time try. They need to make some adjustments with the menu, otherwise it's hard to survive with high rent and inflations. read more

We catered a party from here and Bon was such a pleasure to work with. He helped us select a great menu for the party. The Angkor Wat wings were the first to go; they were so delicious. Papaya Salad was spicy and flavorful and the Lemongrass beef was a big hit. We had some gluten intolerant guests and the Cha Mi Suor was perfect for everyone. Thanks to Bon the food was enjoyed by all. read more

I'm Cambodian and I recently moved nearby. I wanted to try some food that reminded me of my Mom's cooking. I was not disappointed, I tried the Curry Noodles that came with fresh chopped cucumbers, bean sprouts, chicken, carrots, potatoes AKA ( Nom Banh Chok)(pronounced Nom - Bah - Jok). I asked for some toasted baguette to go with it as the bread can soak up the left over curry. The staff was friendly and catered to my requests. I will definitely come here again as there are many other Cambodian dishes here I would like to try!!! read more

We just came back from Angkor Wok and I'm very eager to post this review. We went there for a lunch (around 1:00pm), ordered Cha Kreung and Fish Amok for the main course and "chicken wings stuffed with pork" as a starter (cannot recall the name). Food was absolutely excellent! We've been told upfront that A-Mok takes about 15min or so, but we decided to wait for it. Indeed, after about 15min our food arrived. Ambient is lovely, fresh, specious. Staff is super friendly. I should mention that we came back from a vacation in Cambodia about a month ago and were excited to try Cambodian food in Seattle. One of the few spots in Seattle with authentic Cambodian food! It is a little on the pricey side but the food definitely tastes great! The owners are really nice and the service is great. The location is a little difficult to find in a way since it's a little awkward near the UW area but parking isn't too hard to find. The food here is just amazing though. Average food, over priced, good environment, very slow service. Took 1.5 hours for a simple dinner. Second dish took 45 minutes to come.
