I recently moved to Seattle and was really missing my mom's home-cooked meals. I was on the hunt for some authentic Khmer comfort food, and Angkor Wok definitely delivered. I tried the Angkor steak salad, which had just the right amount of spice, and the Yaohon--though the broth was a bit sweeter than I'm used to, it was still very tasty. The egg rolls were perfectly crunchy; I could have easily eaten ten more! Unfortunately, the beef sticks were sold out, so I'll have to come back to try them another time. Parking wasn't too difficult to find. We ended up parking on a nearby street in front of a hotel. The customer service was straightforward and efficient, which I appreciate. read more

I was craving some Khmer food and came across Angkor Wok. I ordered a few dishes, like the Kuy Teav Phnom Penh noodles, Chicken wings, and Beef Lok Lak. First off, the parking! There is no parking! I think it would be way better if there was some parking for the restaurant instead of customers having to worry about getting towed or ticket. The place it self looked very roomy, and my order was all prepared and done when I arrived. For the food, the chicken wings were the best part for me. Lots of flavor, super good with some jasmine rice. I wasn't a big fan of the noodles and lok lak, because the noodles were a bit bland and the lok lak, seem like they used some old beef? Because it had the dark brown stale edges after it has been cooked. read more

A beautifully decorated restaurant with a fresh color scheme and lovely floral accents. The ambiance was inviting and well thought out. Unfortunately, they were out of the Beef Sticks and Som Low Chaap-Chhay, which was a bit disappointing, but everything else we ordered was delicious. The service was also good--friendly and attentive. Overall, a wonderful dining experience while visiting Seattle. read more

WOOHOOOOO! I gotta say, it is so rare for me to enjoy the taste of authentic Cambodian food and this place just slaysss with its deliciousness :D Located in the U-District, this spot is pretty easy to find if you are familiar with the old Sharetea/Taike place. Highlights of my visit: -Service: Super friendly staff. I highly encourage you to ask questions on dishes you don't recognize and to get a better understanding of trying out new / unfamiliar taste to expand your horizons of Cambodian food. During my visit here, the cook came out to explain the dishes and it was nice to see the love and passion he had for the food. :) -Interior: IG worthy to all my foodie influencers. The space is quite nice and there are pretty art on the wall. -Menu: Pretty extensive with the variety offered here. From familiar comforts of Taiwanese snacks (popcorn chicken, pork chops, etc) to the exotic flavors of Cambodian dishes (look at the main entrees), there is something for everyone. -FOOD: 10/10 Angkor Wings - SOOOO yummmmm. Perfectly crispy on the outside while not being too dried on the inside, these wings are so tasty. Sweet with a hint of honey and mix in with some fish like sauce, this is a perfect appetizer to share. Prohok Ktease - Think of this dish as a dipping like dish. The sauce is quite thick and meaty like curry. Overall taste is a yummmmmy burn in your mouth spice which you can help lessen with the aid of veggies and rice on the side. For this particular dish, the sauce is more on the coconut flavor. If you want something more savory, go for the Pset Kob or Ka Peak Pao which is very similar to this dish but features more of lemongrass or fish flavor. Just a small disclaimer that this dish does feature shrimp paste and the scent of this is quite noticeable. Cha Mi Sohr - If you're a fan of clear noodles & mushrooms, this is the dish for youuuu. Huge portion of just tasty cooked noodles and fully loaded with meat, shrimp and mushrooms. I really like this for its unique taste and would totally ordered it again. I absolutely can't wait to come back again to try out the other dishes soon with friends and family. :) read more

This is a lovely place to hang out and eat great Cambodian food! The place is decorated to look very tropical, there are lots of pretty flowers everywhere? The food is very comforting and nice. I got the Phnom Penh Noodle Soup and it was a huge portion with flavorful side sauces and lots of different meats and veggies! They are not stingy with portion size and variety! I'll be coming back to try the other items! read more

Cambodian food on a cold Seattle day? Plus a perfect 5-star rating on Yelp? What else can I ask for? Well, unfortunately, I could ask for more flavor in the food. Maybe I ordered the wrong entree, but I found the food to be ok. Satisfactory, but nowhere close to a wow. My wife and I ordered: Black pepper steak bento Chicken curry noodles Chicken Wings appetizer Let's start with a win: the chicken wings were pretty solid. Not the best Asian wings I've ever had, but the portions and the size of the wings were definitely generous. The skin was really nice and crunchy, and it was seasoned pretty well. The only qualm is that the seasoning was not consistent, with some chicken wings being lathered with sauce while others being pretty dry. But overall, not a bad appetizer at all. I would highly recommend this, even as an entree itself! Ok, so now let's move to the somewhat lackluster: My dish, which was the chicken curry noodles was just ok. I spent a lot of time fishing for the chicken, and the noodles were not flavorful at all. I think I spent more time picking out the bay leaves from the dish then actually enjoying it. The broth was decent, but it got boring pretty fast, and it was really oily on top of that. Overall, maybe not the finest dish. The bento box, which my wife got, was decent as well. However, she complained that the rice was cold (say whatttt?) like it was sitting out for a long time. That's really disappointing, especially on a cold winters day where we're looking to get something to warm ourselves. But the meat wasn't too bad, and again, the portions were pretty generous. I'm sitting on a fence between a 3 and 4-star review, but the quality of the chicken wings push this review to the latter. Overall, the food is decent at best, but I won't go out of my way to come here again. read more

Nice Cambodian spot a bit off of the Ave! Came in for a quick pre-movie meal and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Inside is very clean and fairly large, though we were the only ones there. We got the cha kdav, a classic beef stir fry, and prohok ktis, a flavorful ground meat sauce with fresh vegetables for dipping. Portion sizes make this not the best value you could find, but the food does hit the spot. read more

Located slightly outside of the main Ave area. Service was ok. The food came out fast but was salty

This place was amazingly delicious ! Angkor chicken wings- from the size, the flavor, the crispiness was on point! The chicken was meaty and tender and the perfect amount of crispiness made this dish! Chicken curry - deliciously smooth and hint of a spice curry with the well cooked and tender pieces of chicken, the carrots, and the potatoes comes with rice, amazing. Pork belly with egg bento - the pork belly braised in a yummy sauce, that comes with rice and a little side of carrot and radish pickled in vinegar. Sweet potatoes fries - perfect crisp, perfect sweetness. Simple yet delicious ! read more

Ambience. A Service. A Food. A Price. A Found in University district area a couple blocks away from main strip. Good luck finding street or paying for lot parking. Inside is very modern and lots of plastic plants that hopefully gets dusted periódicolly. They've only been open since 2023. Took over a sczhuan rest. And still have a few items from previous restaurant people liked. Also a blank are with few tables in back. Looks like a great setup for karaoke. As they also play nonstop KPop music. Came in around 3:00. Empty. But guy host owner was very accommodating and helpful with understanding menu and what is house made and favorites. Ordered the house made pickled lime hot pot soup with chicken. Came out with a Bunsen burner to keep the soup constantly hot. Great sour and full of citrus. Kaffir leaf and lemongrass flavors. Bury light broth. Came with side of fragrant jasmine rice. Also ordered the house made pork stuffed marinated fried chicken wings. Come nicely plump filled filling of ground pork mushroom and noodles. Good flavor of Asia soy flavors in skin. Overall; delicious! I will come back I'm a FaN!!! read more

This place needs more love and attention. How is there still less than 50 reviews and so empty during dinner time when the food is so good? I went with a large group to get their daily special for today - the Cha Kreung (1 chicken, 1 beef), Amok Trei, Angkor chicken wings, and Machu Kreung. We also got a large rice - highly recommend as the large portion has a lot of rice! Cha Kreung is a lemongrass stir fry and it has lots of vegetables. I love lemongrass and they use a good amount. I liked the beef more than the chicken here. As it was the special for today, the price of this dish was $5 less than the menu posted price. Amok trei was interesting - we expected more of a curry but it was more of curry-spiced steamed fish, but it was nonetheless fresh and flavorful. Angkor chicken wings were a fairly large order. For $17.95 it is good though I'd love if they had a half order option if I solo dine or eat with a smaller group. I like the slightly crispy texture with fish sauce, a variation to a Korean fried chicken. The Machu Kreung is a hot pot dish - this is my favorite dish out of the ones we ordered. There is a lot of vegetables as well as beef and tripe inside. The soup is sooooo flavorful - a little bit tangy but balances well with the lemongrass, ginger, and other spices present. Total including 18% tip was about $16 per person. Family style is the way to go, as the portions for each dish are fairly large so you don't need more than 1 dish per person. Service is excellent and food is tasty. I will definitely go again to try out more dishes. read more

First time trying Cambodian food. I chose this place among others due to the many reviews saying that place is authentic. Can't speak to that but I can say that the food was very delicious. I got the lemongrass stew with beef, beef tripe & beef intestine. The stew was sour and tasted like Thai Tom Yum soup but was a bit denser and a lot meatier. The veggies in the stew perfectly absorbed all the flavor. The portion was good too. It was pretty filling. Service was also great and the restaurant was really clean. There's another dish on the menu, the national dish fish curry, that I want to try so will definitely come back! read more

DO NOT visit if you are disabled. The accessible button doesn't work and they saw me struggling to enter, to just look the other way... Plus, the white people who walked in ten mins after me were served first and walked out ten mins before I finished my food too. And all I got was a sandwich when they got larger pots. Unbelievable how they change once they get to the USA, in Cambodia they treated all outsiders poorly. Again, the service was horrible and the people have the balls to ask for tips after ignoring you for eternity. The food is mediocre at best and neither here nor there. Plus, everything u order is sold out at dinner time (!) So I gave a second chance and ordered online the next day. The food tasted horrible and does not deserve the high price. Just forgot this place and go somewhere else. The decor seems to be ripping off some other themes and does not feel Cambodian except the few adorable dolls in the window. read more

I ate their Kor Koh for takeout, and it was incredibly flavorful and delicious! The beef was very tender and juicy, with a good amount of vegetables. The stew itself was fragrant and full of flavor! Highly recommend and I would like to try their other dishes! read more

This is some of the best food I've had in Seattle and I dare you to find better washed salad greens in the entire US. Stopped in for a to-go bento that came with black pepper steak, fried rice, and salad. The fried rice tasted like street food in the best way with plenty of wok hay and the right amount of oil - not too much but done right so each rice grain is coated in flavor. The steak was tender and rich, decadent even. Ok and now the salad. This is a humble side salad but I could tell the leaves had been washed and selected carefully. It tasted so fresh, I couldn't remember when I'd eaten something this fresh! It made me fall back in love with lettuce. This level of care is exactly why you should come to Angkor Wok. The food is expertly and attentively prepared. The care and attention to detail is evident in everything from the decor to the service to the food in your takeout box. This is where you eat and say, "I've gotta bring the crew and maybe I'll go there again later this week and wtf this is one of Seattle's best kept secrets." If you're watching your budget, Angkor Wok makes you wonder why you'd spend money anywhere else when you can get food at this quality. If you're health-conscious, it makes you wonder why you've been throwing down pressed juices and açaí bowls when you can have clean, delicious food like this that is surely as good for the body as it is for the soul. Eat here and see for yourself. read more

Went to Seattle for a business trip and was craving Khmer food bc of the weather. As a Cambodian, I do like to try Cambodian restaurants in other cities outside of Long Beach, CA. Angkor Wok was clean and spacious. Only saw one employee working the front and the gentleman was very nice. Food was amazing and felt like a home cooked meal. Authentic flavors. I see some Yelpers complaining about the cost. I thought the prices were fair but I can see why some may think some dishes might be overpriced. An informal but seemingly consistent Asian American restaurant rule: the more nondescript the restaurant, the better the food. (And bonus points if the place is in a strip mall!) Angkor Wok is no exception. The flavor and authenticity of the food is directly proportional to the tackiness of the decor! Amok Trei is my go-to favorite Khmer dish, and theirs was very flavorful, but too light on the sauce. My personal preference is an amok that is heavier on the sauce. The most outstanding dish we ate was the Prohok Ktease, creamy, with so many complex and spicy flavors. The cabbage and cucumbers were perfect for dipping. The Salaw Manchu Kroeung or Cambodian Sour Beef Soup had melt-in-your-mouth tripe with juicy meat. Though my favorite ingredient in the soup is the morning glory. I highly recommend this restaurant for the Khmer food. Go with a group, and share the entrees family-style! read more

We visited on a Sunday evening and had a great time. I had the mee katang and a passion fruit tea. Both were super tasty and the noodle stir fry tasted very freshly made. This is one of the best and most authentic places for Cambodian food in the Seattle area. The owner is nice and open to feedback or suggestions. The food tastes home made and the portion is generous! For those that are not too adventurous, the former menu from Taike Kitchen such as popcorn chickens, pork baos etc are still available If you're unfamiliar with Cambodian food, i would suggest the following: - Beef Lok Lak: a peppery, savory stir fried steak cube dish served over a bed of lettuce, tomato and cucumber - Cambodian Dry Noodle: a savory, well seasoned rice noodle dish with pork ham, minced pork, shrimp and a steaming bowl of hot soup with a sizeable pork rib - Beef Stew with French bread: a little bit like Vietnamese Bo Kho, this dish is a unique take on the French beef stew in red wine. Beef is tender and fragrant with herbs and spices, perfect for dipping - Machu Kreung: sour beef soup with lemongrass and morning glory. The food was absolutely delicious! We stopped by two days in a row on our Seattle trip.

WARNING: This place automatically adds a 20% tip to your bill. We only had 5 people in our party (one was a little kid) and was hit with this charge. Typically it's 8 or more - a party of 5 is way too small to auto add a gratuity. Nowhere on the menu or in the restaurant did they make this apparent. I wouldn't have minded as much if the service was great, but service was horrible. The server (assume it to be the daughter) wasn't friendly, attentive and never apologized for our food taking so long. One dish took over 30 minutes to come out after the other dishes arrived, despite us being the only other table in the restaurant. The food was decent and somewhat authentic, but the portion size is small compared to what you pay for. it's such a shame that the restaurant did provide a better experience as we would have been regulars. read more

An actual legit Cambodian place! I'm talking somlar machu, prahok k'tiss, pset kob, congee, and noodle soups (including the Cambodian version of pho). Also num pang (banh mi) and fish sauce chicken wings! They just opened so their menu is smaller, but features dishes unadulterated for American tastes. No 'how many stars spicy' option here! This is food you'll find simmering on the stove for a Khmer family's dinner. read more

A nice, clean big restaurant with lots of seats. The staff are really friendly and kind. The menu is big and I think they should stick to Cambodian food instead of all the things. The Cambodian food is too sweet. The clientele are Asian of what I saw when I went so being more authentically Cambodian would probably serve them better. UW students like authentic Asian food and would make the trek for it since it's a bit of a trek from main campus. I got the Phnomh Penh noodle soup it was sweet but similar to other Cambodian soups. I'm use to more seafood in the soup. We got the Mee Katang stir fried noodle dish with shrimp and was very sweet. The vegetables were well cooked and there was a handful of shrimp in it. The fruit smoothie had coconut water and a frozen berry mix. It was pretty good. The prices are high - the two dishes and a smoothie made it almost $50 before tip. I think this place has potential and I think it's worth checking out. read more
