Pretty good! Staff wasn't the most attentive, took our order then was on their phone the rest vid the time. Chicken vermicelli bowl was just okay- kind of skimped on the chicken, but it was very chewy/fatty and had no flavor. Imperial roll was over fried as well. Beef pho was better! Had good flavor and good presentation. Seemed like a very low-key place, but could use a bit or energy! read more

Honestly, one of the most meh banh mi I've ever had. They didn't add jalapeños, despite them being listed, and there was a random slice of bell pepper in mine (I loath bell pepper), and the pork was super fatty- gross! The sandwich was a good size, but lack of quality ingredients made this a disappointment. One and done for me. Saigon in TL is still reigning supreme read more

Ordered their fried chicken wings and they were delicious! Their beef noodle pho was also super flavorful. The broth was so yummy and the rice noodles were perfectly thin and cooked. They have a small restaurant but you get quick service! Their menu is also limited but they have your fan favorites like vermicelli and beef pho. Very relaxed ambiance. The prices are reasonable and consistent. Def recommend if you're in the Haight area! read more

As a Vietnamese and a total coffee addict, I have high standards for my Vietnamese coffee--and let me tell you, this place delivers! The coffee is bold and strong, just the way it should be. The egg cream and pandan cream? Perfectly balanced--not too sweet, and the consistency is chef's kiss! Though, fair warning: when mixed, the coffee slightly overpowers the pandan flavor. Now, let's talk food! I grabbed a vermicelli bun thit nuong to-go since I had an early morning shift in South SJ. Even after reheating it in the microwave around 2-3 PM, the meat was still juicy with just the right amount of fat (as it should be!). And that fish sauce? Neither too salty nor too sweet--just right. The milk tea here is smooth, fragrant, and brewed just right--none of that overly sweet or artificial taste. The salted foam is rich and has that perfect balance of sweet and salty that takes each sip to the next level. Whether you're mixing it in or sipping it straight off the top, it's so satisfying. 10/10 recommend if you're a Vietnamese coffee lover or a fan of solid, authentic flavors, this place knows what they're doing read more

The food here is really good and the restaurant and ambiance is gorgeous and the service is great however from both times I've been here they've been consistently late to opening. The first day I went they opened about 10 minutes late but they were over half an hour late to opening on my second visit. Not sure what's going on behind the scenes to cause this. If you do have an opportunity to visit their banh mi is high quality and on point though. Definitely don't have to pay a visit to San Jose to get Duc Huong quality Banh Mi anymore! The bread is perfect and everything is so balanced and delicious. The staff are also so kind and welcoming. read more

Very chill, no frills Vietnamese place in the Haight. The food tastes fresh and is super affordable, especially being on Haight St. i got the vermicelli bowl with 5 spice chicken and thought it was really good! The chicken does taste more like BBQ chicken in my opinion but still very good. Will definitely be returning. read more

Angiday - Vermicelli Bowl 5 Spice Grilled Chicken - Vietnamese Near Me - San Francisco, California

Super excited for a new Vietnamese spot in the Haight! Heidi and Alex were incredibly welcoming and friendly. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi with extra jalapeños. It came out fairly quickly. Presentation was great. Bread which is one of the most crucial ingredients was excellent. Warm, crunchy and chewy on the inside. The jalapenos were chunks versus sliced which I enjoyed because I like it spicy. But be warned or ask for them to be sliced in the traditional way. Solid amount of meat and "veggies". I look forward to seeing what else they offer since this is their soft opening until the end of Dec 2024. Definitely recommend giving them a try. read more

When I saw that there was a new Vietnamese place on Haight I LITERALLY jumped in my car and drove directly over. First the good: SUPER friendly staff and service. Great ambiance, lighting and minimal, tasteful decor. A 15% discount during the "soft opening". Now the less good. They were out of MANY items on their menu. No stars off for this because that's what soft openings are for - - to get an idea of how much to order/make etc. My meh review is specifically for the vermicelli bowl, which is my favorite Vietnamese item, and I have ordered at every Vietnamese place in the city plus in every other state or country I go to--it's a fav and what I judge authenticity on. Well this one failed, sadly. Though the bowl and ingredients were fresh and crisp which I gave one star for, and the barbecued pork was rich, smoky and flavorful (another star), the fish sauce, which is the hardest thing to perfect and gets dumped over the entire bowl so either makes or breaks the dish, left a lot to be desired. Not only was there no heat to it (usually Jalapeños are soaked in it,) there was no nuance to the flavor whatsoever - - it was pure sugar and pure salt, and nothing else. Didn't really even have a fishy taste, which I don't mind and would have been preferable to the salt/sugar overwhelm. It tasted like they reduced sugar and water and then poured a cup of salt in it. I almost didn't make it to the bottom of the bowl. In addition, though at an Italian restaurant I would refer to their noodles as "al dente", these had a bit of a gelatinous texture to them. It wasn't that they were undercooked, it was more that they were weirdly gummy. Not sure if that's a brand issue or a cooking issue but it wasn't ideal. Lastly the imperial roll that they put on top is actually just your basic run-of-the-mill Chinese egg roll. It tasted fine, but did not have any "Vietnamese" flavor to speak of. I'm sure this place will stay in business as it was super busy while I was there, and since most people are probably going to order the coffee (which I don't drink) or the bánh mì sandwiches (which I don't eat), or the phó that they were out of, I would still give them a shot and see if your favorite meal is done well! read more

I went to Angiday tonight with my husband (Dec 7, 2024). They are still in their soft opening phase. Our original plan was to get takeout dinner for both of us. But as we started to look at the menu, my husband realized that there were no vegetarian options. So he went a few doors down to get pizza. We were definitely disappointed that there were no vegetarian options for him, so I deducted 1 star from my rating. I would love to see some vegetarian options, such as veggie pho, veggie spring rolls with marinated tofu, tofu banh mi, or a vegetarian vermicelli bowl with marinated tofu. This would allow more people to enjoy the restaurant. But since it's still a soft opening, the menu may change as they get into the rhythm of operations. But what I did end up ordering for myself was the pork rice plate and crispy egg rolls. Pork Rice Plate--4.5 out of 5--Overall, it was delicious. I loved that it came with a fried egg (nicely fried with runny yoke, just the way I like it!) and some shredded salad greens with fish sauce dressing. One minor complaint is that I wish the pork were more seasoned, but that may be subjective since I tend to like saltier foods. Crispy Egg Rolls--5 out of 5--These were similar to imperial rolls at other Vietnamese places but bigger. There were three rolls, and they were all crispy, nicely fried without being greasy, and with plenty of filling without being heavy. I won't comment on the service since we didn't dine in, and it's still a soft opening. But the staff seemed friendly even with the few more minor interactions--placing the order, observing the service with those dining in, and being called for my takeout order. The interior of the restaurant has been updated to be bright and modern, very different from the feel of the previous restaurant that was in its place... It's a nice change! I'm excited about this new dining option in the Upper Haight/Cole Valley Neighborhood, and I'm looking forward to trying the other dishes and coffee drinks on the menu next time! read more

So tasty, great service, awesome atmosphere. This is why Angiday is my go to banh mí spot

My husband and I picked up food from Angiday for the first time this evening. We were attending a concert in the neighborhood and they kindly accommodated us by letting us pick up our food after the restaurant was closed. Everything was delicious--perfectly seasoned, fresh, and abundant. So thrilled that we have a new restaurant in the neighborhood that's delicious and affordable. Can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu. read more

I highly recommend this spot! Authentic Vietnamese food is hard to come by in SF, but this place truly delivers. We visited on a Sunday and tried the banh mi and pho--both were incredibly tasty. The flavors are authentic, the food is absolutely delicious, and the portions are generous. The space itself is elegant and aesthetically pleasing, making it a great dining experience. They also have takeouts. The staffs are super friendly! You really can't go wrong here! read more

Me and my son we love this place but today was no good experience. I ordered a pork dish to go, but they gave me chicken instead. The order was to go and. My son repeat several time pork when he order. He say thank you and the cashier looks mad and rude i guees she is new cause we always go there and they have the best costumer service.at all. Mistakes can happen, but the way customers are treated matters. I hope the staff can improve their customer service and attention to orders in the future. Thanks read more

This new place is very cheap. And by that I mean cheap with their assembly of ingredients. They will serve you the cheapest version resembling the dish it purports to be. We had one of the banh mi and it was ok. Nothing to write home about. Same as the pho. The peanut sauce was so watery I could not believe they would dare to call that authentic. It's mainly water at that point. And the spring roll had virtually no mango in it, although it was listed as an ingredient. Which is too bad because this was the only dish that was a bit more interesting. When asked where was the missing mango ingredient listed in the menu, the server pointed to an indiscernible match stick of unripe mango, smaller than a shredded carrot sliver, and had the gall to say that there was no room in the spring roll to add more mango, although the spring roll was loosely rolled with mainly lettuce and noodles as the main ingredients. Very cheap. You pay for the smallest amount of ingredients that are listed and it's mostly filler with cheap ingredients such as lettuce and noodles, or in the case of the peanut sauce, as much water as they think they could "successfully" get away with. This was very disappointing, as this is a new restaurant in the Haight Neighborhood and I would have hoped for a solid new restaurant, not a flimsy, cheap as can be restaurant. read more

Pretty good food and I would definitely consider coming back if I'm in the area, but wouldn't seek it out. The space is very clean, and service is VERY nice and accommodating. I am not Vietnamese and don't know how authentic the food is, but guessing it's adjusted to American tastes because it was very mild and the prevailing taste was sweet. My kids liked grilled pork much better than the 5 spice chicken. I also had the peach iced tea and do not recommend - it was like Snapple but twice as sweet (didn't help that I got light ice because it was a cold day). Prices were more than reasonable for SF. read more

Amazing food at a great price, they were so kind and even stayed open a little later to make our order. This is a must try!

Great fresh food at a good price and friendly staff! We will be back soon! Really enjoyed the vermicelli.

Great addition to the neighborhood. Had the beef Pho, broth is very tasty with good depth. Very fair price as well (especially at 15% off due to soft opening promo which is good until 12/31) Excited to come back to try more menu items, but will most likely be in here every rainy day this winter for the pho. Highly recommend. read more

My goodness what a gem of a location! Hands down one of the best Bahn Mi Sandwiches I've ever had!!! I got the grilled pork and oh boy! It was soooo tender and moist. (chefs kiss). I'll definitely be back soon to try the rest of the menu! Staff and owners were so friendly and welcoming. They told me they were going for authentic Vietnamese cuisine and I have to say, they must have hit the mark because I've never had a Bahn Mi sandwich taste so good. Angiday - Bahn Mi Heo NuoNg - Grilled Pork - Vietnamese Near Me - San Francisco, California

Came here Saturday noon during their soft opening, the line was long but service was fairly fast. Food was amazing overall. For food we ordered banh mi dac biet, beef pho, bun thit nuong, and grilled pork rolls. Drinks: we got egg coffee and coconut coffee. My favorite was the banh mi. Baguette was soft inside and still got a nice crunch on the outside. Fillings were nicely seasoned and went so well together. Their coffee is on the stronger side, so if you're a fan of coffee, this is for you. Overall, lovely experience and great ambiance, highly recommend! read more

Pork Banh Mi was great - best of three banh mi restaurants I've tried in the area. Nice atmosphere & friendly staff.

What and the actual heck!! This place has to be one of my new favorite Vietnamese restaurants in SF. The atmosphere is so modern, clean, and beautiful with all the plants. The service is top tier, they called me by my name, made me feel comfortable, and even the chef came out to see how things were. We cannot not talk about the food!! I have been to 12 different restaurants in SF to try pho and this is hands down the BEST I've had in the last 3 years being here. So much flavor, perfect quantity for the price, and it was so delicious. I had to force myself to stop haha. Love it and will be back! read more

Finally, good Asian food on haight street!! I'm obsessed with this place. The menu is simple yet everything is so good. The banh mis and pho are delish and full of flavor. I'm obsessed with the lattes as well. The coconut latte and the pandan latte have been my favs. Not too sweet, yet creamy and rich espresso taste. It's hard to find good lattes with asian flavors so I'm so happy this place opened. Also the decor inside is very cute. U can tell this place is good if all the 5 star reviews are from viet people. The staff are all friendly as well. 10/10 read more

The egg cream coffee is really good! I don't have to go all the way to southbay to get my fix!! Had the banh mi dac biet (cold cuts) and it was pretty tasty. The baguette was great! Soft opening Dec. 5. The old La Familia Taqueria. They made a nice little restaurant out of the old space. The usual feel of a brand new restaurant opening. I had the beef pho soup to go. All the usual fixings with mixed cooked brisket and rare beef. Everything was nicely separated and although I was surprised they even separated the rare beef, the soup was hot enough to still cook it when added. The beef was very tender. The soup was bland and nothing special. They need to make the base more deeper. Verify if they use MSG as I was very thirsty afterwards. read more
