we have property in a condominium community whose hoa decided to have a termite inspection. we received notification of the date it was supposed to happen which was a date we were out of town & had a house sitter staying at our place with our anxious dogs so we asked if we could please make an appointment instead of them bothering the new house sitter & our dogs. THEY SHOWED UP WITHOUT ANY REGARD TO THE APPOINTMENT WE SET UP. needless to say, the person who showed up rang the bell sending the dogs in to a frenzy & the house sitter told them they were supposed to come back at a set time BUT THE GUY LET HIMSELF IN TO MY BACKYARD ANYWAY!!!! I put a child lock on the gate to help deter them but the guy took it off, moved a barrier I had set up so my puppy can't escape under the gate & obviously didn't put either thing back when he left. Irresponsible, disrespectful & a bully is how I would describe this company. Extremely disappointed in their "service". read more

I called them in for termite inspection at one of the temple in Santa Ana. Waited 2 weeks for that inspection, Jesse was the guy that came. He came unprepared ( didn't bring his suit ) so he couldn't throughly inspect the property. After that he said that he will give an estimate the next day. The monks waited 2 days, nothing happen. I then called the company, and turned out he didn't even send his inspection report back to them yet..? If you don't want to service us ( because it's a Buddhist temple, and you have some bias about it? ), sure thing, no problem. At least let us know that you won't be able to do it. We have more than 5 buildings that needs services. You wasted our time & your company's businesses. This is the most unprofessional thing I've come across. The monks that were with him that day even said to me that he was very nice, & knowledgeable and they would love to work with him for the other buildings as well. Too bad! read more

If you are looking for an honest, professional, and reliable termite and construction company, I would Not recommend Angelo Termite and Construction Company. They are not people of their word, and do not stand behind their work. Their workmanship is very poor and they will take shortcuts whenever possible. They have been known to use bondo, or fillers for repairs instead of replacing damaged wood. If you have had work performed by this company, it would be wise to verify that they have actually replaced the damaged wood and not just applied bondo over the termite or rot damage. read more

Robert came out to assess a few termite spots and rang me when he was on the way so that I could leave work to meet him. Just closed the most difficult deal with a termite company in my 40 years selling real estate. Not only did they confuse Wells Fargo (I know that's probably not to difficult) with the wording on the completion report but it took several attempts to correct what was needed. You would think that real estate agents are there bread and butter, but that was not my experience. I had a very positive experience with Angelo. I'm an OC real estate agent and was in a tough situation when my client (the buyer) and the sellers received conflicting termite reports from two other termite companies. Both parties agreed to a third inspection and Angelo came at the recommendation of my brokerage. We needed someone to come right away and while they were initially fully booked for a week, I received a call as soon as an inspector's schedule became available. The lady I spoke with over the phone was so patient, kind, and accommodating. I must've called her 5 times within 15 minutes with various changes. The inspector was Gary and he was awesome. Not only did he arrive during a last minute and narrow timeframe, he also helped my buyer feel confident about the final results. Finally, they didn't end up charging my buyer for the inspection! I am so thankful for their help and honesty. I will definitely use Angelo for future Termite Inspections!! My association hired them to spray for termites and to do wood replacement and painting. When they initially came out to paint there was some overspray. I called my association to have it fixed. This review is 1 year overdue. My 1970's house had some dry rot and termite damage on the fascia and a wooden patio cover as well as a decorative beam above the garage. Got several bids from termite companies in which most recommended tenting was needed, and their bids were not very detailed in terms of what would actually be done. Then we contacted Jesse at this company and his assessment was very thorough and certainly matched and exceeded the findings of damaged areas compared to other companies. Besides replacing fascia, he recommended spraying instead of tenting. They came out and did exactly according to the bid. They also got rid of my outdated decorative beam and sealed it up. Jesse stayed to oversee the workers and also stayed late as he wanted a more perfect paint job where our beam had been. Overall, very satisfied and impressed with the customer service and work and felt that they were honest in their presentation. read more

I needed a termite inspection and was referred to Angelo by a realtor who listed my house. Robert came to my house and proceeded to poke holes in my wood to determine water and termite damage. He gave me a report detailing the problem areas and walked me through the areas to discuss the needed repairs. His report was written that in several areas wood needed removal, inspection, termite treatment and wood replacement. Both verbally and the report noted that wood would be removed and replaced with new wood. After all work is completed then a certification of inspection and compliance would be issued as I needed that to sell the house. Both my realtor and I thought the cost was high for the work, so I got another cost estimate. The other estimate came in at less than half the cost, but that contractor wasn't a licensed termite company so they couldn't issue me an inspection certification. So I used Angelo to do the work. When Robert from Angelo gave me the cost estimate he told me that some dishonest termite contractors could make me tent and fumigate and that he wouldn't do that and it would save me $2200. After the work was completed, I noticed that about a third of the recommended wood replacement was done by patching and not removing and replacing with new wood. They said they accessed the attic to spray and I paid for it, but they neither went up into the attic to do the original inspection or the spraying. So I did end up paying and getting the certificate, but I wouldn't recommend Angelo Termite and Construction. They pad the estimates, take shortcuts and charge for work in the attic that was never inspected or treated. My realtor called them to complain and she said Robert was rude, argumentative, unprofessional and had a cocky attitude. If that's the kind of person or company you want to deal with, good luck. I hope there are better choices, but those termite companies have the upper hand on you as you need their inspection certification to sell a house. read more

This termite company has cost my HOA community a fortune. They are only licensed with the Structural Pest Control Board - their State Contractor's license is inactive and they are unable to perform any construction work. Further, they maybe inspect half the units in our community, and only the attics and exterior wood. Our community has had an infestation of subterranean termites that have almost completely destroyed parts of the interior structure of our buildings and NEVER ONCE have they ever checked for subterranean termites. This must be done by testing the foundation and soil. I've reported them to Code Enforcement in the city where I reside. I suggest you find another termite contractor if you're looking for someone to keep your home safe from these destructive pests. Our community has been ravaged by these destructive pests and it'll be a miracle if the buildings don't collapse Stay as far away from this company as you can. read more
