I just went to Angel's to tan and it was the best experience I've had at any tanning salon! There was no up-selling, automated payments, monthly commitments, or loads of paperwork to fill out before you tan. I only wanted to tan a couple of times for a wedding that's a week away and they offer 1 tan for $5 or 7 tans for $20 to be used at your convenience. The salon was very clean, the owner was friendly, and they supplied a towel, goggles, and radio in the tanning room. I'll definitely refer friends here that want a no-hassel tanning experience at a good price. read more

I've come here about 5 times in last 6 months and I have no intention of going anywhere else! The ambiance is not great, but the pricing and the quality of their work far outweighs the unpleasant pink color on the walls. $30 gets you a spa pedicure with a sugar scrub and hot stone massage . An extra $5 gets you a paraffin wax treatment. Every time I am impressed with the amount of time they spend massaging your feet and legs and how much attention they spend getting your feet nice and smooth. They go well beyond what most places do, and after one pedicure you will be disappointed if you go anywhere else. My ones suggestion is to bring your own polish. They don't have a large selection of regular polishes, and what they do have seems pretty old. read more

Wow. This place is wonderful. My friend gave me a coupon and even though I have been going to a different place for years, I decided to try it. I was serviced immediately and they gave me an amazing massage with my mani and pedi. I got the shellac nail polish, which they did a really great job at. Pretty bad. SNS manicure and within a week, there were cracks/splits in in the covering of four nails on right hand an in two nails on left.

I would give 0 stars if I could! Today I went in around 6:30 pm looking to get a full set with gel. There wasn't many people in the salon but all the techs were working with someone. So I picked a color and waited till someone was available. I sat down in the chair and the woman doing my nails was clearly not in a good mood. She kept aggressively grabbing my hands and anytime I told her the electric filing tool was too hot she would ignore my statement and continue, clearly not interested. So she proceeds to put the fake tip on each nail and when I asked to go shorter she said I would just have to wait till she filed them. Once she filed them, they were noticeably uneven but the most obvious were my ring fingers. Before she began adding color I asked her to fix the one nail and that's when she became completely rude and unprofessional. She bent my ring finger back, hurting my hand and told me it was just my eyes and that she didn't understand why I couldn't see it correctly. I was so upset at that point I told her to take everything off and that I did not want my nails to be done. After getting them taken off I walked straight out of the salon. Biggest regret was not getting this woman's name. Please take your business elsewhere! Worst experience I've ever had. read more

This was my first time at Angel's. I recently moved to the area and I needed my brows waxed. I'm always cautious about new places, I like my brows sculpted but full and I'm very picky. The esthetician at Angel's did a very good job, right away she noted that I just needed a clean-up but that my shape was fine. (I'm always relieved when the lady with the hot wax agrees with me.) She was meticulous and and used scissors and tweezers as well as the wax. I'm very happy with my brows and I went ahead and got my upper lip done too. I love a place that I can walk-in without planning ahead. I was attended to immediately and the staff was polite and professional. The salon was clean and the prices were very reasonable, ($8 for a brow,$5 for a lip, $45-$55 for a Brazilian). I haven't gotten a Brazilian here, but I'm considering it (I prefer sugaring, but Angel's doesn't offer sugaring). You can't beat a reasonably priced, well executed brow job. read more

The whole staff are lovely! I've had pretty much everything done that they offer and like tonight I found out they did lash extensions? GORGEOUS and a small fraction of the prices that the lash bars around here charge (granted it's wisps being applied rather than lash for lash, but they look fuller anyway, WIN), plus it takes like 10-20 minutes! The salon does great nail designs, waxing, and eyelash extentions, and the pedicure with milk & honey is to die for. I've had a facial once and it was definetly comparable to a facial I've received at a resort. The facility is clean, and I've never had any infection/fungus issues. Not a fancy place, but a great experience. I wanted a particular manicure design and brought a picture with me. I ended up getting a shellac manicure, and when the gentleman doing my nails realized that he couldn't adequately replicate what I wanted with polish alone, he brought out nail glitter and hand-glittered each nail. One of the best pedicures I've had in a long time, hands down. I typically go to shops closer to Southpark Meadows or Congress on my way home from work, but decided to try this shop on my way to HEB. I walked in and there was only one other person. Sometimes this can be a bad thing, but I proceeded to pick out my color and take a seat. The fact that there was no wait and Taylor (I think that's what she said her name was...I didn't want to keep asking her to repeat herself) took her time (I was in for over an hour) made me feel valued as a customer. My normal places herd you in and out in under 45 minutes, so I appreciated the change in pace. I'll definitely continue to return as a customer and will see how they do with my nails. read more

I have come here for a while now. It is now time for me to stop going and write this review. I want to start out by warning everyone about the eyelash extensions. They are basically falsies that they super glue onto your eye. I got some, having no idea about real eyelash extensions when I showered the glue they used would run into my eyes. Their eyelash extensions are dangerous, so regardless if you like the work they do on nails, please stay away from the eyelash extensions for health reasons. Ok, with that out of the way, I have been here for many types of services. Regular mani/pedi, shellac, a full set. I have had lots of services. Every time the job is not done very well, and I always wonder if they do a shotty job on purpose, so I am forced to come back. I should have stopped going a while ago, but this is the reason I kept going ( don't judge me), they use to put hot towels on your next and give you a neck massage while you soak your nails. Yep, that is what kept me going back. Well, they don't do that anymore, so the only reason I kept going back is gone. Shellac comes off in a day, Three nails off my set fell off in a week. It's just bad. With so many good places located so close, it doesn't make sense to go there. Once again I will just say, even if your experiences have been different than mine and you enjoy the nail service there, please don't get the lash extensions read more

First let me start by telling you they do not i repeat DO NOT SANITIZE THE TOOLS, the tech slid the tools out the blue pack as if they were (a square on the pack changes colors when used properly) the tape was still on the pack. They re-use the blue packs and toe separators!!! Worst experience at nail salon ever!!! Went in for gel nails and the tech insisted on powder after i had already said NO! Anyways, after dipping my nails THREE times they were way too thick and he planned to leave it as is, but i asked if he was going to thin them out. So he did, but he ended up going too deep with the machine on two nails, which made them lighter than the rest. I saw it and so did he, but acted as though he did not (typical). instead of removing the messed up nails he, proceeded to pack on more product all the while speaking to his co-works in a different language, making me feel like he was talking bad about me, they would even walk up to the table look at my nails and talk to each other. He finally gave up and switched with a different lady who did the same thing, but seemed more frustrated and started cutting my cuticles with the nail grinder. When she place the clear coat, i showed her both hands and her response was, it only looks a little different (uuuggghhh) I told her im not paying for my nails to look a little different, she then yelled "YOUR ARE PAYING!" i then said "i didn't mean i wasn't going to pay, but that im not paying for a crappy job", she clearly did not understand. I was so ready to go, but then she graves my hand roughly and goes at my nails with the nail grinder. I said why would you do that, im trying to leave, she said because i was being difficult. So after another 1hr40 minutes i end up walking out and paying for my right side nails to look way too thick. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! read more

I'm a 58 year old man who has never had a manicure. I have to go to a conference this week and will be pointing and calling attention to small items. My wife said it would help if my fingers looked nicer... fingernail ridges buffed cuticles trimmed, etc. There was no one in the place when I walked in except for a young lady behind the desk at the front reading a magazine. I explained what I needed and she said, "Those are your regular nails and there's nothing we can do for you". I walked out embarassed and will never try to get help again... certainly not from that place. I was clean and dressed nicely and my hands and nails were not dirty. My wife says that maybe some young people don't like touching old-man hands with hairy knuckles. Where are people like me supposed to go for help? read more

Pedicure was decent. Nothing special. It was a slow Tuesday, they could have put more effort Never, ever get your eyebrows done here. Did a TERRiBLE job. Normally they do alright to were I can tweeze the few they always forget at home. but this new girl just destroyed my hard work at growing them and shaping them. She literally gave 2 different eyebrows and made them very skinny at that. You can tell she was very inexperienced and did not know how to work with the wax. I don't know how I feel about this place ... I hate to leave this review because the woman were VERY nice and inviting but my service felt rushed... I got the sns nails because I'm a hairstylist and my hands are constantly in water and sns last the longest... sns tends to be thick but mine came out super thick... they look pretty but if you really analyze them they are messy. To be honest even if this set lasts me a good two weeks I won't be back.... I can already tell these are going to grow out crazy looking.... I can't speak for any of the other services they offer as far pedis and waxing but I won't be back to find out either. read more

This is the only nail salon I trust! I've been coming here a couple years and Lisa always does an amazing job on my nails and eyebrows. The rest of the staff is great too. The pedicures are a dream and very fairly priced. I highly recommend adding the paraffin wax for $5. My feet stay smooth and soft for days! This salon is one of the only ones in this area that stays open all the way until 8. I've even come in at 7:30 before and they still took care of me even though it went way past closing time. They are never rushed and always professional. They have a great selection of polishes and one of the biggest selections of shellac I've seen. It's sometimes hard for me to choose from all the colors lol! On top of everything else, they do kids pedicures for $15 which comes with a cute little design or rhinestones. They always treat my daughter with care and that just makes the experience so much better. I love Angel's and don't plan on switching salons ever! :) read more

I have never had a worse experience in a nail salon. Techs are completely inconsiderate of your time! Didn't even offer a beverage while we waited for 20 min UNTIL I was already having to leave and on my way out! My friend and i came in and asked how long the wait was-no reply. Sat for a quick 5 min, was seated in a chair for a pedi quickly but only to wait for 20 min until someone was able to sit and get started. I told her that at this point all i could have is a polish change since my husband was with our baby and i had to be home in the next 20 min. She quickly changed my polish and sent me to sit under the lamp. This is when she decides to ask my friend who had the time to stay if she wanted a glass of water, soda, or wine. Seriously? We waited forever only to be asked now? I'm a stay at home mom and never get to have my nails done. This was a COMPLETE waste of my time and they have no customer service. I only stayed that long since i rarely see my friend. Bottom line-don't waste your time. Wasn't the cleanest place either. read more

I went in for a full set and I wanted colored tips after repeating my request multiple times my manicurist proceeded to do my nails the way she wanted them. After putting my foot down and telling her a final time she clipped my newly acryliced nails and ripped them off my fingers my nailed looked horrible and my fingers hurt. I had to go to another salon and to get the rest of the acrilic off. I will NEVER go back there again read more

LONG BUT WORTH THE TIME TO READ! I would say that this place USE to be my regular place to get my mani's and pedi's.. Recently I went in to get a manicure, the lady that started working on my nails got sick and left me sitting there for about 20 min unattended, before she came back and told me that one of the other nail techs were going to finish working on my nails once she was finished with her other customer. The new nail tech then came to finish my nails and I told her that I wanted a French manicure. She spoke NO English, seriously NONE. As she started cleaning up the white polished tips of my nails, I noticed that the lines were very crooked and everything look so uneven. Then as she thinks she is finished she lifts my hand and hums to me if it was OK, I said NO, they were all crooked. She then goes back and tries to fix them finally I tell her it's fine whatever. Then I stick my hand in the dryer as she works on the other hand and when she tells me to take my hand out I look at my nails and the white tips of about 3 nails are all bubbled up, it looked horrible, so what does she do, get the clear polish to paint over it hoping it would even it out. But how could it even out if I just had them drying in the dryer. Needless to say, I spent over and hour there an at the end told her to take it all off I didn't' like it at all it was horrible. Meanwhile the owner who originally started working on my nails came out of the back and had to translate to the girl what I wanted her to do. I left there with nothing, but a wasted hour and a half. The owner then tells me to come back and she would get her daughter Jenny to do my nails. I did go back a few days later, and yes Jenny did my nails and did a GREAT job, but she just did a color, not french because she said my nails were too short. OK, fine what ever. I left there and paid full price. Would of thought I would have gotten some sort of discount because of my wasted time prior. OK fine. So I go back just recently the week of Easter to get a mani and pedi. I told the owner I wanted HER to do my nails since Jenny was not there. and I wanted to try the French tips again since my Nails had grown out . She then convinces me to just pick a color and to give my nails about another 3 weeks to grow longer. The same girl that screwed up my nails the last time work on my pedi. Once she was done, the owner says, she's going to do your nails, and promised that it was going to be good since it was just a color. As she is working on my hand she is talking in her language to the owner, so then the owner comes and translates what she just said. She says that my nails were long and that she could do the French tips again, so I agree. This time she painted them nicely, then again I go to put my hand in the dryer and when I pull it out, 2 of my nails are bubbled up again. There she goes again trying to paint over it to smooth it out. The owner comes and looks at them and says they look fine, but she will redo them, she redid one of my fingers and the same thing happened again. Seriously I am not been picky, I can handle a little smudge here or there, but these were awful. So after the 2nd time she says come back when you have more time and we will fix for you, Again, Paid FULL price, no discount, walked out of there 2 1/2 hours later, very unsatisfied. I called this week to tell her I wanted to go get them fix and twice already she says they are too busy. I would not go back there and not recommend them to anyone. Also you would think at least 80% of their clients are female. They have the TV on the sports channel most of the time. I'm thinking I'm going to call the BBB and let them deal with it.
