A fantastic place to eat! The dining room was full so we sat at the bar, which had the full menu. I ordered the lasagna and was not disappointed!! It was soooo good! And the service was excellent! Forgot our masks but the manager said he had masks for us which was great we didn't have to walk back to the car on a cold Saturday night. I noticed there was two seats open at the bar so we decided to sit there. They did have plastic dividers between every two seats and between us and the bartenders. We started with a bottle of Malbec and then ordererd a hot antipasto which was very good. I've never even seen a hot antipasto as an option on any menu. We moved on with entrees, Salmon and Chicken Francise (sp?) both were delicious! I'm very glad to have some leftovers for today! We will definitely go back. In my opinion when a meal costs over $100 I feel a complimentaty limoncello would be nice. Its one way to stand out from other restaurants. read more

We ordered takeout as I wanted to treat my office to a nice lunch. I had the shrimp fra diavolo. Noodles were ok and the sauce had some spice to it. But they literally put in 3 shrimp into the dish . Hard to get repeat customers when you overcharge and under deliver. Also can't give more than 3 stars for food I could probably make just as well at home. read more

I spent a few nights in Rhode Island and this was the first restaurant we visited - it turned out to be our favorite! Andino's is located in the small Little Italy section of Providence which has many Italian restaurants which all look amazing. I loved the ambience inside - it's your typical upscale dining experience with dimmed lights and a friendly atmosphere. There are still clear plastic dividers in between each table which gives you a sense of privacy which is nice. The waiter was excellent and gave us honest opinions about various options on the menu. We were served our drinks and had enough time to decide on our dinners. I opted for the Veal Saltambocca while my friend went with a simpler option - cheese ravioli! We were both very pleased with our meals. I thought the veal was delicious. I usually am not a fan of extra mushrooms, but I was still very pleased with my choice. For dessert, my friend had a NY Cheesecake and I ate a homemade cannoli. How can you note choose to eat a homemade dessert at an Italian restaurant?! Of note, the cheesecake was also great. I should mention this is a great date night spot and is also great for a family get-together. Next time you're in Providence, make a reservation at Andino's! read more

I took my nephew out to this wonderful establishment for some Italian cuisine. We are relatively new to the area from down south so we have been checking out Italian restaurants to find our favorite. This was our first time visiting Andino's but definitely not the last. We had the fried calamari for an appetizer, he ordered the lobster ravioli in vodka sauce and I had the chicken parm, everything was delicious. Of course you never receive more than about six to seven ravioli's but even that was more than filling. I could barely finish half of my entree. It was enough for where a second individual could have had a full meal. The drinks were awesome as well as I loved the wine selection. Nice spot on Federal Hill to visit while strolling. Is driving to Providence for Italian food worth it? Oh, YES!!!! I've been going to Andino's for years. I just can't detour from my usual; calamari for my appetizer and linguini with white clam sauce for my appetizer. I did splurge with tiramisu for dessert on my last visit. The parking on Atwells Avenue can be tricky so the valet service is very convenient and will save you money for parking. The calamari is lightly breaded, fried and has garlic butter added as a nice touch. Sometimes I'm tempted to get two orders and just have that for dinner!!! For dinner, the calamari with white wine sauce is a healthy portion and VERY tasty. I like the fact that they have chopped clams AND some opened around the dish. My significant other had the veal Parmesan. Very healthy portion and I was told that the meal was delicious, the veal was cooked well and was very tender. You choose your pasta for your side order. The tiramisu was soooo good. I'm sure all of their desserts are. It's nice to know that great Italian food is available. It's just a drive away. All meals walking by look great. read more

We visited Andinos on the night after Thanksgiving. We had a lovely waitress, and the atmosphere was old-school Italian and very inviting. My wife had the chicken Parm, and it was excellent and I had the Veal Saltimbocca and it was delicious and an abundant serving to boot- we both couldn't finish our meals and got to enjoy again over the weekend The drinks were great as was the whole evening. I went here expecting to be wowed. The food was ok. The bread was stale though. You won't see me here again. I would suggest skipping here and going to the North End in Boston. I've never had a mediocre meal there. You can also find very good Italian food in the greater New Haven area. read more

Came here after doing some research for recommendation and can agree this is not a disappointment. My bf and I came here on a Wednesday for lunch so prices were set at lunch menu. The waiters are nice and willing to help if you have any questions. They are attentive to make sure everything is alright. Big portions as you can see from the pictures. Either my appetite was not as big as when I was younger or the fact that we New Yorkers just expects smaller portion for the price we pay. We had to take our leftovers to go because this is more of a 2-3 people servings. The main reason I really wanted to come here is to try the lobster ravioli. They only have it for appetizer during lunch and I wish they have it for entree cause it was just that amazing. They have different sauce for the lobster ravioli and I ordered mine with pink sauce. The chicken parm was very good too. The thin crust with the perfect tenderness. The marinara sauce matches so well over it. It's more quiet during lunch by the time we walked by for dinner the place is packed. This is a pretty small restaurant but have very nice atmosphere. I just wish I could remember the waitress. She was amazing! She was very welcoming, provided the best service, and very patient as I didn't know what to order. My work group and I came for lunch. It wasn't busy until we got there around noon. We brought the crowd lol. Ambiance was nice. I ordered 5 five pasta from the dinner menu. My coworkers ordered apps they were so good. I want to say stuffed seafood mushrooms and fried mozzarella. Their entrees were fettuccine Alfredo and I can't remember the other. I do know it had a pink sauce. We all tried each others food and nothinggggg disappointed. We all were satisfied and full. If I ever go back to providence I'll be sure to make a pit stop here. read more

Classic restaurant on federal hill. One of the longest running restaurants on the hill. Their also really old school Italian- which means the menu doesn't change too frequently & that's not an issue here! That's what we love about it! Great date night spot and always very accommodating - willing to fit you in at the last minute! We came here last weekend for dinner and drinks and had a great time. The food was amazing! The drinks were delicious- albeit strong but that's how I like them when I so seldomly drink! Great ambiance central location & really close to everything. Hello my fellow Italian food lovers! Andino's was quick to accommodate my party of 6 on a Tuesday night. I ordered the chicken francaise on angel hair. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was flavorful and very citrusy. I accompanied this dinner with a glass of J.Lohr, red instead of white you ask!? Unusual, but It was perfect as i paired bites from my tables medium rare Veal specials which were Cooked to Perfection! Also had a bite of the chicken parm which was hearty and yummy; a classic that won't fail you. I highly recommend getting something you usually wouldn't! Tried the tiramisu and the limoncello desserts, both were great, limoncello took the table win. The price points were ~$19-45. If you're considering going to the Cheesecake Factory, DON'T! Give this local joint a chance it will blow your cheesecake socks off and stays around the same price range. Veal took the trophy this go around. Dinner for 6 + appetizers + 2 bottles of wine ~$400 dinner. 3 stars was given instead of four due to the long waits for our servers to come around and make their rounds. It didn't take an eternity, but it wasn't very timely, given that there's a staff shortage and patience is applied in all situations. Other than that's the experience was great! read more

We went in early on a Friday night which it seems like you need a reservation usually but the people at the front found a spot for us within 20 minutes of waiting. I got a chicken parmigiana and my friend got a cheese tortellini with chicken. We both agreed that our dishes were delicious. It's definitely a place to try again. This is my go-to Italian place for takeout. My wife and I split the stuffed chicken parm, which is essentially a chicken cutlet with an eggplant cutlet on top. I get the broccoli rabe as a side and a piece of Italian bread. Pair it with a glass of wine, and I have a slightly fancy takeout night for under $60, and it's a lot of food. All the food is delicous that I've had here, and they pack it very well for delivery. read more

I have been coming to Andino's since I was young! This is a staple of Federal Hill with great consistent Italian American food with friendly staff and good prices. The polenta was great as well as the veal parmigiana and added meatballs the meatballs were so flavorful! Drinks were fantastic. Great experience. Getting the server's attention required -really- waving down them down with two hands high in the air a few times, as eye contact and a little wave was not sufficient. They also seemed to be tending to the bar, but there was another bartender there too, and it wasn't very busy...and we were sat literally across from the bar and felt ignored. They dropped the bread basket 30 mins in and it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Once food was at the table the service picked up. One thing to note is they serve their dinner menu at lunch time on the weekends, which was not apparent from their website, so entrees averaged $35 for most of our group. There was also a 4% surcharge for using a Visa credit card and not paying cash (further research says using a debit card you can avoid this charge, we were not from RI). While we enjoyed the food, we'd likely look elsewhere next time for better service and more transparency on prices and charges upfront given there's many restaurant options in the area.

The fourth, a tea totaled, had a Ginger Ale. The generous portion main dishes were a shrimp bucatini, a squid ink pasta, swordfish, a thick pork chop and an eggplant parm. All very tasty. He ended up going back and making them himself and they were much better but STILL. It shouldn't be this difficult for a bartender to make a very standard drink. The food unfortunately was also very mid. The table behind us actually sent their food back twice as well and the manager had to come over. It's also worth noting I put in the reservation it was my husband's birthday and there was no acknowledgement of it at all. We all lost our appetite after that. I would avoid this place if you want good service and a rodent-free environment. I'm having a hard time understanding what the hype is about this place. If the manager was apologetic and understanding, then this may have been a different review. Only giving two stars for the flavor of the food.
