Ordered for pick up. The team on the phone and at pick up were very efficient and friendly. My pasta spaghetti carbonata was rich and really hit the spot. I'm going to nudge you to work on the beet salad. That left a little to be desired. First time trying this spot near my office. I know co workers who go here and love it but I wasn't impressed. I got the calamari panini and Caesar salad and the salad was good but the sandwich was cold and just not that great. There was more bread then toppings too. Usually when i go spend $16-$20 on pasta I have enough for lunch the next day but the pasta everyone got they finished. Looked pretty tasty but not a lot for the price. I might be back to try the pasta as the staff seemed friendly but definitely wouldn't get take out a Updated 12/12: had another holiday lunch here and the service was great and everyone liked their food. My friend who lives nearby introduced me to the spot, and I absolutely loved it. The servers are so kind and personable and the ambience is terrific for a nice dinner. There are more expensive Italian restaurants in Bellevue that I don't think have the same quality as this place! The pasta here is to die for, and the tiramisu was really beautiful as well. We walked in this evening and asked if they happened to have any tables available for 2 people. With it being a Saturday night it was perfectly understandable when they said they didn't have anything. We politely said thank you and turned to leave. That's when the guy at the door yelled "NEXT TIME MAKE A RESERVATION" more than loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear. I cannot fathom why this otherwise nice looking restaurant employs someone that is one of the rudest pricks I've ever encountered. What's even worse is when I went to their website to check reservations, there were multiple reservation times open within 1 hour of when we were there. All this guy had to say was "we can accommodate you in 1 hour", but he chose to not only be rude to us, but also interrupt everyone else dining there at the time. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

My experience at Andiamo last night was to put it mildly HORRIBLE! The food was good but the service was terrible and the maitre d was dressed in a track suit. He spent most of his time in very loud conversation with the table behind us to the point that my friend and I could not hear each other talking! the minute that we walking the put us in a corner because we have our niece with special stroller because she is disabled, we look into the website before we go in and we were looking to get a steak but when they give us the menu it wasn't in the menu the steak option, so we thought that only specific days only they had it, but later on a guy sat next to us and the host that welcome us he immediately offered the steaks and wine to the guy sitting next to us, it was the same host that welcome us, he was really nice to the guy but not we us. neither the waitress offered us that menu but to that guy yes. we can hear all the options that offered to the guy and to us they never asked or mentioned anything to us. we were so disappointed that we didn't even order a dessert that we were looking forward to order. we felt discriminated because of my is disabled and because I Apparently they thought we were poor. read more

Andiamo is easily among the top five, and honestly the top one or two, dining experiences my partner and I have ever had. Christian, Santos, and the other staff members operate flawlessly as a team, and get you everything you need while truly engaging you in conversation and making sure you're happy. The food is perfect, and the Italian classic pasta featured the best chicken either of us had ever eaten. The desserts were homemade, with the limoncello cake's flavor obviously coming from real lemons. All in all, this was an 11/10 dining experience and has become our go-to special occasion place. Wow wow wow wow! I came here for my birthday and I couldn't have picked a better restaurant. The linguine and tiramisu I ordered was phenomenal and my entire party of 8 all enjoyed their meals. But beyond the food, the service exceeded my expectations. My server Moises was amazing and had the best recommendations. He was extremely knowledgeable for the menu and very attentive to our table. Seafood pasta option with mussels was inedible, it had a bad fish smell and the minute it hit my mouth I knew it was bad. The vibe of the place is good. But the rest was just ok. Bathrooms didn't have toilet paper and wouldn't flush. That isn't that big of a deal. But worrying all night if I am going to get sick from the meal is not acceptable. I don't normally get Italian for take out but I thought I would switch it up and get some. I saw that Andiamo was close by and participating in restaurant week and thought why not? I got the dinner menu and chose the Zuppa Toscana, Chicken Milanese alla Carbonara, and the Tiramisu Al Vin Santo for take out. As someone mentioned there is indeed quite a lot of plastic wrap. I appreciated it for the soup. It was a bit much for the main course given how it leaned on the drier side. The soup was nice and creamy. I enjoyed it. My main issue for my meal comes from the chicken being slightly burnt. I could visually see the burn and it was somewhat dry. The side pasta was a bit too light on the sauce for my own preference. The veggies were okay and honestly the best part based off the fact I don't have any complaints about it. What really docks stars for me is the fact I found a piece of mushroom on my tiramisu. I did consider the fact it might have come from my food but I don't recall any mushrooms so I believe it came like that. Overall this was a disappointing experience. Maybe they're better when you can dine in but this didn't hit the spot for me. read more

What a hidden gem in Bellevue! Very authentic and delicious Italian food. We went to Andiamo on a Wednesday evening and the small space was packed. The decor is nothing special, and the space looks a lot like a family restaurant. The complimentary bread and oil is nice and has a bit of spice to it which we enjoyed. I ordered the vodka penne and it was probably the best I have ever had. We also had the beef tortellini which was quite flavorful and good as well. I highly recommend the vodka penne. They also had a nice selection of wine. Because of how busy the restaurant was there was a lot of noise when we first got there as there is not much space between tables, and it also took quite a while for someone to take our order but they were apologetic for the wait. read more

Overall, the quality of cooking does not justify the price or meet expectations (blan: lacking even salt). Very disappointing. While they do provide a decent portion & are not cheap with the protein, the chef is does not cook from the heart. Food lacks salt, depth of flavor, and pasty sauce is watery. Noodles are rather soft, not Al dente or salted either. The to-go boxes are styrofoam and plastic wrapped, which doesn't hold up well with sauces and deforms from the hot & heavy food. For 2 entrees and an appetizer I paid ~$80 and only choose this "Italian" restaurant only because they offered a seafood pasta dish. Dined here with a friend on a weekend evening. We were the first table but the dinning room quickly filled. They have few temporary outdoor tables along the sidewalk but the walking traffic seem busy at times. Though we sat pretty close to the open kitchen, we did not feel any air circulating problems. All the foods were served timely and nice presentation. The taste of the foods were ok overall, nothing stood out . They tasted like mom's home cooking, not great but will do. We are in love with this quaint little corner Italian restaurant! The service was fabulous! We are charmed by how friendly and accommodating everyone is! The food is very delicious! The antipastos are flavorful and fresh! The burrata with beets is a refreshing start to a good meal. Then moving onto pasta, this is one of the rare place that serves up a Puntanesca in the area. A few friends and I dined here after a conference nearby. It was fabulous in every way! The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. We shared an outstanding bottle of wine and several appetizers and entrees. The mushroom bruchetta was inventive and delicious. Along with the other dishes we had that were all tasty as well. By far the best part though, was the service by all of the staff but Serena in particular. She makes you feel as though you are a treasured guest in her Italian kitchen. We lingered for three hours and never felt rushed. It was like being in Italy where they appreciate the enjoyment of a good meal amongst good company. This place has some amazing and authentic Italian food, but the price and customer service just isn't it. TLDR: Order takeout or door dash so you can have their delicious food without having to sit in this restaurant. My friend and I came here at 4:30 on a Friday night and were seated right away. I was a little confused about the parking situation, and when I asked about it, he told me to give him my license plate number and then immediately walked away. Confused, I assumed it would be dealt with when we paid the bill. When I brought it up again later, he seemed annoyed and said we were supposed to give it to him right away, and I was just really turned off by his attitude considering I've never had my parking validated like that before. Our waiter was Christian who was very high energy and charming, but as the meal progressed, he became more irritating. We ordered two pastas, bruschetta and "limoncello". The bruschetta was delicious and the pasta was really good. My friend asked that the pasta be made less spicy and Christian assured us this would be possible but then proceeded to forgot to indicate that so she ended up not being able to finish it. THE LIMONCELLO IS NOT LIMONCELLO. INSTEAD, HE CAME BACK WITN TWO CANS OF SPRITE AND TWO CUPS OF ICE AND HAD THE AUDACITY TO CHARGE $6 FOR EACH. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. While we were eating, there was a really loud group of teenagers who were yelling across the restaurant which is really ironic considering they advertise to be "quiet". In addition to the screaming teens, we were also seated right below a speaker that was playing music way to loud. While this place was charming for the first thirty minutes, the ambiance and service just don't cut it for me. I understand they are under new management, but I think catering to all the customers, not just the largest parties would be better appreciated. read more

The lower star rating for this place makes absolutely no sense. I've been to Italy before and the food is identical in quality. I haven't stopped raving about this place since I went! The waitress was amazing, opened the restaurant early for my reservation. When they didn't happen to have the wine that my girlfriend wanted, she recommended one that was better. And the food; oh my god my Italian heart hasn't been that happy since I was in Tuscany. This is the best Italian food in the area hands down. When you enter you just know, the "feeling" of the intimate tables well appointed with color, light, warmth....it all just feels RIGHT......like you have come home to a real neighborhood restaurant that is upscale and down-home at the same time. And what can I say about Christian? our favorite person ever, who greets us so enthusiastically and helps us feel like royal family welcomed back. And the food? I had lobster ravioli, saffron creme sauce, the special and it was delectable. Every meal I have had there has been delicious. I honestly wasn't sure I wanted to write this review, as I don't want it to get too busy! It's just the best for an intimate dinner with one, 3, or our whole family reunion of 15 was well-served and made fantastic memories there too. Parking is easy in the garage. It's like a jewel in Bellevue, a place we can't wait to go back to. My sister and I often invite new and return guests and it has ALWAYS been a superb, memorable experience. read more

We were here for a special occasion and they put our party in the back. They got us drinks as the rest of party trickled in. They had about six different specials going on, with a heavy focus on seafood - but tis the season. They had two meat specials, and they came with vegetables and a side of pasta. Our party of 8 were served drinks. Some had water, some had cocktails, some had pop. They refilled the water often, but not so much the other drinks unless you asked. They served us bread, and when our group finished the first round, they brought out more bread. The bread was delicious, but we found out later they charged us for the second round of bread. We didn't ask for it, they just brought it out, so it didn't seem fair that they charged us. Granted, we ate it because it was delicious and there was plenty of time between courses to come, but be transparent about what you're charging instead of sneaking it on later. A few people in our group got salads before hand. The prices for the salads on the menu are for small portioned salads so just keep that in mind. It was a good appetizer. The people who got salads gobbled them up. Two people for the beet salad and they raved about it. All of the food was delicious. I got the filet mignon special and it was to die for. The sauce was delicious and the steak was cooked nicely and melted in your mouth. I kept wondering if they were going to bring a steak knife out to cut it - didn't need it. It was so easy to slice through with the regular knife on the table. The vegetables were a good medley as well. The pasta that came with had a little kick to it, but I saw the red pepper flakes in there so to be expected. Also, again with the transparency of charging - when our server explained the special, they said it came with pasta and vegetables. So when I ordered it, they asked if I wanted pasta, vegetables, or both. I said both, and when we got our bill, it was a $2.00 charge for both. That made this steak special $72.00. The steak was delicious and worth it, but I wasn't expecting to be charged $2.00 for getting both when the way it was explained made it seem like it came with the steak. A couple people for the lobster ravioli (another special) and said the sauce was good but wished the lobster was more meatier. Someone for a pesto linguine and you could taste how fresh the pesto was. Others had pastas with different red sauces on them and all said they were good. All of our tabled cleaned their plates except for a few little portions of something here or there. They brought out a free dessert for the person we were celebrating. It was a flourless chocolate cake. Rich, almost minty, and fudge like. It was passed around for all to share because we were full. From start to finish, it took us about 2 hours it seemed like to eat. It seemed a little long in between courses coming out and our bill to come, but it was okay. It was getting crowded once it hit around 7-7:30. It's a smaller place and some of the voices are loud and can be heard throughout the restaurant. Apart from the surprises charges for bread and sides on the bill, and a little slow service, the food was very good. The bruschetta was tomato and then mushroom I wish we got all tomato because the tomato was super yummy. I'm huge mushroom fan and just was disappointed mushrooms were under seasoned and lacked flavor. I ordered the mushroom pasta with extra sauce, another flavorless dish. Super disappointing I honestly had 3 bites and threw it away. I ended up sharing my friends chicken Alfredo with her which was pretty tasty. Her husband has the chicken Parmesan and he said it was yummy. Caesar salad was pretty standard (no lemons provided) I hate that. The ham and cheese was 3 pieces of ham with cheese in the middle and was sub par. Too many good Italian restaurants to go back to this One for the bread. read more

Gluten-free pasta, AMAZING food, entertaining, friendly server, authentic Italian. Our server spoke Italian and was thrilled that I remembered about 5 phrases from my college days. She has a fairly thick accent but is understandable and just a funny and friendly personality. The rest of the staff, or much of it, also speaks Italian, so I believe it is now family-run. We all got different dishes and none of us were disappointed. I absolutely adore Bolognese, so that's what I always get the first time I go to a proper Italian restaurant, but my friend got the Cioppino and I'm getting that the next time I go (tomorrow), because that was full of seafood and looked absolutely scrumptious. The other two members of our party got ravioli and one of the creamy pasta dishes and we were all completely sated and stuffed with no room for dessert. I'm gluten-free (low-level celiac) and my only feedback would be to make sure GF options show on their online menu. I had to call to ask because I really wanted to go here due to how close it is to where I live and their dishes. They are not the only Italian restaurant that doesn't post GF options online but has them in the restaurant and they are doing a disservice to themselves. They could get more customers ordering take-out or coming in if that was clearly stated. :) read more

We first went to Andiamo a little over four years ago, when we moved to Washington and lived in an apartment across the street while looking for a home. It has always served good Italian food in its charming dining room looking out on the street. We hadn't been there in awhile as we don't live so close now. Last night's dinner ensures we will be back soon and often. The restaurant is under new management and has revamped the menu. For those familiar with Mariana's in Renton, it is under the same ownership and the new menu is similar. The menu has a excellent selection of Italian favorites all executed to perfection. As good as the standing menu items are; be sure to check out their specials which always include outstanding steak, seafood options. Both my wife and I selected from the specials for dinner last night. My wife had the lamb shank special which featured a prehistoric sized lamb shank that was tender, delicious and served with a vegetable ragout. I went for their "surf & turf" option for the night that featured a petite filet in a conga cream sauce, lobster ravioli and several grilled prawns. It was all executed to perfection and went down well with a Le Bec fin Cabernet Sauvignon. As good as the food was, what made the night truly special was the atmosphere and the service. I highly recommend getting a window table at Andiamo; we love watching the locals walking their dogs and heading off to wherever. We were fortunate to have Christian the GM take care of us last night; he was our favorite when he was at Mariana's and were thrilled to see him at Andiamo. I ordered dinner for 10-15 people for a birthday party. We had salmon pasta, misto salad and bruschetta. The food was ready for pickup at exactly the time requested. Christian helped me carry it to my car. There was plenty of food, and it was delicious, particularly the pasta. I froze the leftovers which were still yummy when thawed days later. Christian was easy to work with and everything worked like a charm. I would definitely do it again. read more
