Grilled Chicken Sandwich
Brandon G.

On a Sunday evening, we didn't feel like cooking dinner. After a few ideas back and forth, we finally decided on Anderson's since my wife had never been here before. If you like her, have never been here before, think retro diner meets modern layout. They serve the classics here. Burgers, chicken, salads, sandwiches, and even hot dogs. They also have an ice cream parlor with so many offerings that you can get dinner and dessert all at once. There is a nostalgic spot back in our hometown just like Anderson's and that's what it reminds us of when we were there. The service is great here. They make everything fresh and quickly. We got our food to go and it was still hot when we got home. The grilled chicken sandwich was cooked perfectly. The chicken was juicy and the toppings were fresh so it gave a good crunch from the lettuce and tomato. The salad was so large and filling and you can never go wrong with their fries. We also got a small vanilla soft serve for our son and he loved it. It was a very good soft serve with a great flavor and thickness. Whenever you're looking for something for everyone in the family, Anderson's is the way to go. We will definitely be back!

Love this place. Food is always good and the dessert is always good anytime of year. Service is always great and employees are understanding while you decide on what to eat. When you need a little ice cream in the winter this is the place to be!!!

I love Anderson's! Whenever I drive home to visit my parents, I come through Buffalo and just have to stop by! Since the pandemic they have an online ordering system, so I placed my order there for contactless payment! When I arrived they had a walk up window in place. I was able to just walk up, they set my order on the table, and that was that! Perfect! This particular location has a really cool nostalgic vibe with the neon signs and such. The inside dining area looked fairly large. I ordered the Beef on Weck, cajun curly fries, and pistachio custard. Everything was so good! I wish I didn't live 5hrs away! IF you'd like to keep track of the ever changing daily custard flavors, there is a calendar on their website!

Veggie wrap with spinach, cucumber, onion, and avocado.

I placed my order via Yelp/GrubHub. Two kids meals, customized to their liking (cheeseburgers, one with ketchup, lettuce & tomato, the other with ketchup only, one with fries, one with onion rings, and half loganberry/half water on the drinks), a veggie wrap no dressing, and a spring salad. The wrap had the included dressing but otherwise everything was as expected. Upon arriving, I pulled into a designated curbside spot, texted 716-329-4589, and received a prompt reply that our food was almost ready. Nick, the manager, brought our food out personally and even suggested that we order directly from their website (as GrubHub charges a commission, making our order more pricey than it needed to be). Thanks Nick, for that great tip! We'll be back, for sure!

Supporting another local restaurant with this amazing icecream deal! For only $20 you get 3 pints of ice cream, a choice of sauce, sprinkles, nuts and whipped cream! You call or order online (24 hour notice) and schedule a pick up time . You can call from your car to let them know you are there and they can bring your order out to you.

Kiddie sized beef on weck was still filling

Good local staple in Western New York. I was happy to hear that I was allowed to order the kiddie meal, even though I'm not a kiddie! I opted for my meal to be... a small beverage, small curly fries with upcharge for cheese sauce, beef on weck, and a coin for a small salted caramel pecan pie ice cream cone. My sister chose the same, but with sweet potato fries, which I preferred, and a milkshake! My other friend ordered the classic beef sandwich which came with gravy. We were able to sit outside and see a few deer as well as a rainbow.

We stopped here for dessert. My son had strawberry custard which he loved, my husband ordered a peanut butter sundae and I bought a Reese's pieces sundae. I told the server to have it to go hence why they looked smooshed. The staff were friendly and welcoming. All covid restrictions were in a place. The ice cream is so good. I am a Rochester girl familiar with Abbott's custard and Anderson's custard may be even better than abbots which is a huge accomplishment. The portions were generous.

Small cup vanilla Greek yogurt custard

Review of their sweets: Custard calendar: Check their site, as they post a calendar of their special custard of the day for weeks/months in advance. The offer some unique flavors like orange chocolate Marnier, Jamocha, pistachio, and chocolate mint. They also always have the standard chocolate and vanilla, and I think the vanilla Greek yogurt custard is always there as well, it's my favorite! Hard Ice Cream: I'm more of a soft-serve person myself; however, the flavors available sound and look delicious. The Oreo was loaded with chunks of cookies, the ones with peanut butter had lots of it in thick swirls, the coffee had plenty of chocolate-covered coffee beans. I think I'll try one next time! Sundaes: I had the Choco-Peanut Butter Passion when I was pregnant and it was the best! Toppings were plentiful and the ingredients were top-notch - cookies were soft & fresh, Reese cups were in big chunks, and there was plenty of coverage with the sauce! Ice Cream Cakes and Ice Cream Pies: They are handmade and come in a variety of options. I was reading the menu and drooling over the delicious sounds combinations. My fingers are crossed that I get one for my birthday. Deals: Sign-up for their membership, you get a free scoop of hard ice cream or small soft serve around your birthday (good for 10 days). I know they also have deals throughout the year - discounted cones, half-priced cones when it snows, free ice cream for moms/dads on Mother's Day/Father's Day. Anderson's is a staple in WNY, as far as I'm concerned!

They also have homemade ice cream including Chocolate Peanut Butter, Watson's Sponge Candy, White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle and Coffee bean, that are very popular. Non dairy coconut mocha

I've been going to Anderson's since I was a young girl and I've always loved the variety of flavor options. As I have developed a lactose sensitivity, I was really happy to know they now offer plant based options. I had the coconut mocha and it was delicious. Perfect for a hot summer afternoon!

Pretty cool Icecream spot. Me and the whole family stopped in for some icecream and we all enjoyed ourselves. We all got different flavors and I tried them all. Coconut creM pie was my favorite. The shop was immaculate, very clean. The staff was professional and courteous. My one daughter got a milkshake and it was also very good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a treat and a relaxing stay.

The quality is incredible and the mix-ins are so generous, no skimping here. This round we tried the Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella and the Oreo Brownie Cake. Christian absolutely nailed the cozy, Christmasy vibes with the eggnog flavor. I already know I'll be craving this one every winter. And the Oreo Brownie Cake? Come on... the name alone is tempting, but it delivers. Think fudgy brownie swirls, big chunks of Oreos, and pure chocolatey goodness in every scoop. Basically heaven in a pint. Worth every single penny. And even better when you share it with someone who also has a sweet tooth.

At a Yelp Elite event at Brazen Brewing a couple years ago, I sampled a few of Living the Cream's…read moreflavors and took his card. I'll be honest, I've been putting off ordering a few pints because I didn't want to make the effort/time for picking it up. Thanks to a dear friend, a fellow Yelp Elite, I've FINALLY had the opportunity to try some pints, and holy smokes, Living the Cream is phenomenal! Note that in to order flavors, you'll want to follow "livingthecream_" on Instagram, "living_the_cream_" on Facebook, which showcases any new flavors being crafted and hosts the link to place your order. I tried two flavors: Oreo Brownie Smash and Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella. Oreo Brownie Smash is Oreo cookie ice cream with brownie batter swirls, Oreo cookies & cream cookie dough, and half-baked brownies and Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella is spiced eggnog ice cream infused with Jim Beam and Platter's dark orange chocolate stracciatella. Just. WOW! Absolutely no complaints, each was bursting with flavor and packed with so many mix-ins. I loved finding huge Oreo cookies & cream cookie dough chunks and just how chocolatey Oreo Brownie Smash was thanks to all the brownie bits swirled in. The Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella had the creamy, comforting flavor of eggnog with a nice nip of Jim Beam that let you know it was there but never overpowering. The crunchy bits of the dark orange chocolate stracciatella cut through all the creaminess, only elevating the ice cream overall. Opening both pints, I was super impressed how jam-packed they were - It took a bit of effort to get the lids off, the pint was on the cusp of overflowing! So I didn't order these pints so I can't give you the most accurate pricing info, but after trying a couple flavors, I'm happy to order a few pints myself without thinking too much about the cost. I'm really glad Living the Cream is out here, churning up amazing ice cream flavors for Buffalo! As a few other Yelp reviews mention, make a little room in your freezer and treat yo'self to a couple pints of some of the creamiest, mix-in full ice cream you'll ever have!

It's also fun to wander around eyeing all the candies and chocolates... excellent gift ideas. On this visit, my daughter and I split a large Arctic swirl with brownies pieces and swapped the vanilla custard for eggnog. Best decision I've made all season, no regrets! The only tiny downside: the signs. So. Many. Signs. Rules everywhere--no ice cream in the chocolate area, carry a basket so nothing melts or breaks, no glass outside, clean your trays, etc. I get it (I, too, am a bit of a control freak), but it does start to feel like ice cream comes with a user manual. That said, clearly they've been burned before... or maybe I just recognize my own people. Either way, worth it for the custard alone. And make sure you plan to go right home. This way, you can buy some of their hard ice cream to keep in your freezer.

The graham central station sample I tried was delicious. I tried it to possibly replace the vanilla icecream with in my sundae but felt it packed enough flavor, that I didn't need to have it with a sundae with all the toppings (better on its own). The turtle sundae was absolutely rich and decadent and everything I wanted. Even the cherry on top was more rich and plump than the average maraschino cherry. It was extremely filling and took me an entire hour to finish .. still had fudge in the cup when I tapped out. The vanilla was so so creamy and delicious! Now THIS is real ice cream! As far as prices go, I find them pretty on point and to be expected in this area. Competitors are charging about the same and the quality is way better here. I don't mind paying for premium anyway and being absolutely satisfied. Quality always wins for me.
