Brookie Ice Cream
Brandon G.

There's not much to say besides "wow" when it comes to this ice cream! Every time I order a new flavor, I am completely blown away at how good it is. I'm not even that big of an ice cream person but when you have a Bills themed anything, I'm the guy who has to try it. Not to mention the fact there are full size Oreos in some of these ice creams. That's something I can fully support. Christian makes it so easy to order and pick up the ice cream on multiple nights of the week. His service, quality of product, and attentive management make this whole process a success from start to finish! I would recommend his ice cream to anyone. Do yourself a favor and go get a few flavors soon!

Also got the salted caramel which was also amazing. I would definitely come back to try their other flavors as well as other menus since they have a huge array of icecream sandwich, floats, sundaes, etc. they have a decent size parking lot with a lot of people coming and going. They have decent seating area making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the weather. Service was fast and great but only gave us 2 samples. Overall, a great experience and met some really people.

Luckily it wasn't busy... couldn't/wouldn't stand in line under the hot sun.. We ordered, go to sit down and relax, opened the umbrella for shade because EVERY table was soaking in bright hot sun in the asphalt area only to be told by the workers to put the umbrella down because it was "too windy ". I checked the weather on my phone and it was 14mph. They expected us to sit baking in the sun eating their ice cream??? Eff that. Changed our order "to go" drove down the street, pulled over under a tree and ate it in the car. That really put a smush on the whole new experience... The ice cream you ask, yeah it was good, but not good enough to go back again. Guess you can only go there when there's no breeze and bake in the sun. No thanks.

The Pink Cow: Where my dessert dreams come true and my medium is actually a large…read more This charming little ice cream stand in Alden is what I imagine heaven looks like if heaven were shaped like an oversized Fotomat and served twist cones. The Pink Cow is my happy place. It's small, yes, but mighty--and filled with frozen joy and sugar-fueled chaos in the best way possible. There's plenty of outdoor seating (umbrellaed, because sunburns are rude), and ample parking for all your impulse sundae needs. For the efficient ice cream warriors among us, there's even a drive-thru. I've never used it, mostly because I live in fear of dripping soft serve into my cup holders and explaining that to my mechanic. Also? I'm a people-watcher. Give me a bench, a waffle cone, and a toddler in pajamas and cowboy boots blowing bubbles, and I'll be emotionally wrecked thinking about my grandkid on another continent. Worth every tear. Also, let's talk about my ordering process: I get a large. Then I go home and casually tell my husband it was a medium. Don't judge me, Janice, we all have our coping mechanisms and mine is portion-size denial. When my husband joins me? It's date night, baby. First, The Pink Cow. Then a romantic stroll (read: shuffle) through the Tractor Supply at the back of the parking lot, where we look at baby chicks and he buys me a sundress (See my Tractor Supply review for those details). You can keep your rooftop martinis and overpriced tapas--I'm living my best small town romance novel life, and it includes fudge swirl and farm supply fashion. So yeah, get the ice cream. Live your life. Stretch the truth about the size if you must. The Pink Cow is worth it.

They graciously swapped chocolate soft serve for vanilla, added the peanut butter sauce core, dunked it in chocolate dip then coated the outside in crushed peanut butter cups. What's not to like? Custard Corner - Italian sausage, fish sandwich and a pint of Perry's peanut butter swirl...came to $29.71. Hard to justify, honestly.

This recent experience with the food was a little less great and the prices are obviously going to be even higher nowadays. I ordered the same thing I got last time because I really enjoyed it...the fish sandwich. Matt opted for a Sahlen's Italian sausage with onions and peppers. No fries or drink for either of us, but we did get a pint of the Perry's peanut butter swirl in vanilla because we haven't seen it at the grocery store. The fish sandwich was kind of sad looking. It comes plain now, but they'll add tartar sauce for you if you ask. I added cheese, too. It tasted pretty good, no complaints really, but the quality to price ratio is off...it's $10.79 if you opt for cheese. It's just not worth that to me. Matt liked his Italian sausage, although the link was quite short. And of course the ice cream is delicious! The customer service was really great, too. The ladies there were very friendly and helpful. Our total for two items and a pint came to $29.71. Looking at it all together when I took the photo, I just don't feel like it's a good value. Overall, maybe we'll go once a year or so for some Perry's...but I think we'll skip the food. It's definitely not bad, it's just not good for the price. If that doesn't bother you, I recommend you try them out! It's just not for me.

Extremely rude owner. I was frequenting multiple times per week but won't be going here again.read more
