Quick, friendly service. They only have take away or outdoor seating available on a deck with a decent amount of space between seats. They offer 7 options daily of their house made custard 4 core flavors (black raspberry, chocolate, vanilla & pistachio) and 3 specialty flavors that rotate daily. They also offer a variety of Perry's hard ice cream flavors. I ordered a small custard and was able to choose two different flavors. I chose butterfinger pecan and choco PB cup. They were smooth and flavorful with a good amount of "pieces" in them respective to their flavors. It was $5.50 for a small, which wasn't that much custard, but you do have to take into consideration that it is house made and small batch.. not something mass produced. Typically, ice cream stands use a pre-made mixture and pour it into machines, so I was intrigued by the concept of custard made by hand. They have seven custard flavors every day (four staples, and three from their rotating menu) and a lineup of hard scooped ice cream. I opted for vanilla brownie with rainbow sprinkles, my boyfriend went for the black raspberry. Mine was some of the best custard I've had around WNY! The vanilla flavor was so rich and the brownie bites mixed throughout were a nice, chocolatey balance. And, of course, the sprinkles were good too. So glad we saved room for dessert! Was with friends from the area who have been going here for 40+ years and now we know why. The line (social distancing) was long but sooooo worth the wait. The chocolate, vanilla and black raspberry custard (though on the soft side) was outstanding, delicious amd fairly priced. It was celebrating its 80th year and the crowds show their support. The soft serve ice cream here is amazing! The custard they make is some of the creamiest and most delicious I've tasted. If you're a housemade soft-serve custard fan, definitely make the trip out to Lewiston to come to Hibbard's. I came and grabbed a blackberry ice cream and it was perfect. The fruity flavors, the cone and the service were all top notch. The only suggestion would be to have more flavors. There were only about six soft serve flavors to choose from (and the harder ice cream was from Perry's). We walked up to the window and the girls were super friendly. They have three sizes for their famous frozen custard; we order the large (under $5) which allows for up to 3 flavors. We tried the raspberry, vanilla, and chocolate--and they give you a lot! The raspberry and chocolate were so tasty with outstanding mild flavors. The vanilla didn't have much taste to it. We were really impressed how all of the frozen custard flavors has an excellent chewiness to it, and no poor aftertaste. There are tables directly to the right of the place where you can eat at. I have been familiar with Hubbard's but I never stopped by to try it. A few coworkers were shocked when I said I'd never tried the place before. They kept ranting and raving about the peach cheesecake custard. So, I made it my duty to make sure I tried it. I Hibbard's on social media and waited for them to post it as one of the flavors of the day. It finally came around after a month of waiting and I couldn't be more excited. Wow do they have great custard. My friends who live in the area took me here and hyped up the place which had me worried but it lived up to the expectations they set.
