Called ahead to see if they would have a table. We walked in and our table was waiting for us. They serve breakfast and lunch. There's a huge menu! Some of us tried the daily soup which was navy bean and chicken noodle. Both tasted homemade and were delicious. Some had omelettes, biscuits and gravy, chicken, and waffles, & burgers. Service was excellent. It's a cozy neighborhood spot. Prices were extremely reasonable. In fact, all of us ate extremely well and brought home leftovers. Amazingly the cost was only a little more than a chain sandwich shop where we had ordered eight sandwiches the night before. And we didn't even get chips just sandwiches. My marsala was a disappointment in that instead of a thicker gravy type sauce it was a broth. It was watery and not real flavorful. The side vegetables were terrific. Our hosts each had ribeyes and they loved them saying the best steaks in weeks. We finished with carrot cake and key lime pie. I have lived in Florida for 30yrs and the Keys for a large part of it. The tray for the afternoon tea was so sparsely furnished with little food. The bottom tier contained one ham croissant cut in half and two small avocado toast. The middle tier was a 4 macaroons and two small dried out scones. The top tier was three one ounce glass dishes with sauces in them, maybe 1 tablespoon per dish. The tea itself was a pot of unfiltered water that tasted like well water. Overall, after paying with tip and tax $100 for two- it was outrageously overpriced, and under provided for. We traveled from Chicago for this and expected some pastries, fruit, and more finger sandwiches. Very disappointing. Oh, and I forgot to mention, Housekeeping was running a leaf blower to clean the carpets outside the guest rooms that were adjacent to the patio.
