It looks like a gorgeous farm home on the outside with ample parking and the inside is stunning with brick, metal, and wood accents as well as a beautiful stained glass door. The waitress was efficient and knew the menu well. We ordered a burger with no bun to make it gluten free and a pepperoni pizza. The absolute star of the show was the amazing duck fat fries with homemade ranch. The burger was excellent as well. We've been to Fire 2 Fork a few times and for me personally I haven't been blown away with every dish. Here's what they do well: FRIES COOKED IN DUCK FAT. CHIPOTLE SAUCE. I dream about both together. Their appetizers are EXCELLENT. They always have delicious specials on the menu too. We deeply appreciate the freshness of the food. We are big fans of their plan ha burger. When I've ordered their burgers I've had no regrets when I ordered their chicken sando I had deep regrets it was so plain to me personally. The salmon was good but not something I'd go back and get. The staff members are friendly! I've noticed sometimes service can be really slow. The location itself is cute and we love the kitchen setup. read more

Went to dinner with my son, my daughter-in-law, and my grandson and granddaughter. The inside was amazing, food was good. Service was slow as the waitress was busy taking care of many tables. Problem I ran into was I was charged twice for 2 meals, my bill was $143.19 and I was also charged $217.28, which was not mine. Spoke to the waitress about the 2 charges I saw on my phone, and she said not to worry, as the restaurant will catch that and remove it from pending status on my account. After the charge went on my account, I called the restaurant and explained the situation. Spoke to Victoria and she said they were trying to figure out with their service that provides the service for charges on how it happened. I spoke with Victoria and she seen the 2 charges for $217.28, one on my account, and one on another credit card number. I checked out at one terminal assisted by the wait staff, and that terminal seemed like it was frozen, so we went to another terminal and it worked. So the restaurant received 2 payments for one meal. Texted and called Victoria and left message, but no response. Called and spoke to her today, now she says she only received one payment for the $217.28, and it was not mine. I bet if they look at their statements from their bank they'll see the duplicate charges. Even gave her a screenshot of the charges that were applied to my account. I guess the restaurant needed the money more than I did. Will not be eating there again. read more

Appreciated the clearly labeled gluten free options. Had the spatchcock chicken, which was good, the roasted veggies were lukewarm and the farm greens were kinda wilted. Hubs had the ribs - easily the worst ribs ever. Dry, rubbery, tough. Could eat maybe 1/3 of the rack. Could not even cut into the bottom part of the rack, it was so tough. The restaurant appears to be of recent construction with an European hunting lodge vibe. The menu featured mostly farm-related fare. I enjoyed the short ribs with homemade noodles and tomato fondue. Went to dinner with my wife and another couple. The salads and the hamburger were average. I had sole with pasta. It was terrible. It was mushy and overcooked, the pasta was overcooked and lack flavor. Complained and got a free desert but then they charged the other couple for the dessert. Brilliant. The ambience is great, homey yet also professional. My server was attentive and personable, and the food was all delicious. Everyone on staff seems remarkably friendly -- at one point, I believe I saw the lead chef giving a customer tips on how to cook the perfect salmon at home. I love being able to see the whole kitchen from the dining room. And, of course, it is always a pleasure to see Martha. read more

Our server was great, providing us suggestions and sharing the daily specials, one of which we did try (the rainbow trout with lemon caper sauce that was 10/10!) Wish the crème brûlée tasted a little more authentic/had more flavor, but that was our only complaint. Don't skip the bread and butter appetizer, the fresh local dairy makes the spreads and butter to die for!!! Family has been coming here for months and are consistently impressed with food quality. They were out of many items including the ribs, then they served a special they called a ribeye steak for $78 dollars (not mentioned) that was more like a hunk of sirloin tip roast - no flavor, no marbling, definitely not a ribeye. Best fish fry I have had yet in Walworth county. The serving was a large piece of haddock that came with two flavorful potato pancakes over a bed of the most delicious French fries perfectly fried and tossed in duck fat. Wow! I came in today with a friend for the tapas style brunch! What a fun and delectable experience! I was very impressed by the quality of food and ingredients that were used. It was really exciting sampling so many things from braised short rib to chicken and waffles to dessert, all from consciously sourced farms. You really can taste the difference. The price was very fair, and we left feeling very satisfied. Our waitress was passionate about the food, which showed in her dedication and excitement in her service. Her enthusiasm added to our experience, and we can't wait to go back for dinner! Here are some MUST HAVES in my opinion (in no particular order): Waffles, French toast, short rib, crème brûlée, tiramisu, cheese curds, key lime pie, crab cake, flourless chocolate cake, cranberry crisp topped with vanilla ice cream * I don't eat pork, so I can't speak to the ribs and such. I also didn't get to try the fish fry yet, which I plan to do. Honestly, I highly doubt anything you taste will be a disappointment. Compliments to the chef for quality and taste! I really like this place! From the ambiance and design to the snacking food, this place is a hidden gem. We came here for a birthday celebration and found this restaurant through word of mouth. When you first come in, you see the beautiful, clean, rustic decor with the huge wood beams. Then you get to see the amazing open kitchen design with adjustable grill, planchas, and pizza oven. We ordered the cheese curds and calamari for appetizers and they came in hot! These easily were some of the best calamari I've had in a long time, and they know how to cook them without turning them into rubber. They obviously pride themselves on getting the appetizers out to the tables quickly because they were super hot. For the main meal, we order the margarita pizza and it was in New York style. The crust was crispy and the sauce was sweet with a tad of spice. The drink menu is impressive with one of the largest whiskey selections I've seen. I ordered the blackberry Old Fashioned and it was smooth! The drink list included a good selection of beers on tap, a great looking wine assortment, and mocktails for those unable to have alcohol. This restaurant has hit it's stride. The dining rooms and bar areas are well lit, but we enjoy the main dining room and a view of the open kitchen. There are a few caveats-they do run out of their lower priced (but not lower quality) entrees. The pork chop and spatchcock chicken dishes were 86ed by our 7:30 Saturday reservation. Luckily for us, we were all there for the plancha burger, a terrific double patty smash cheeseburger, served on a house made brioche bun. The real star just might be the duck fat fries seasoned with flaked sea salt. This is possibly as good, or better than, the best burger I've had in Chicago (Little Bad Wolf). It easily tops Au Cheval. Our server was outstanding, but I was not there when she introduced herself. She was very professional, but charm,Inglewood quick witted, engaging in playful repartee with one of the more jovial of our group. The bar service was slow, but they may have been understaffed. Half of us ordered cocktails, he others had wine. The cocktails were underwhelming-they took forever to get to our table, and the flavor was meh. I will stick to beer or wine in future visits, and got to Kimkasi Pub in nearby Fontana for their top notch cocktails. read more

Wonderful food and wonderful service! The ribeye must have been three thick, perfectly done and the reduction was wonderfully flavorful. I'm a full on carnivore and picky about my meats and this totally rocked all my boxes. The wine selection is varied and I tried a pinot Grigio and my husband a cab. We went there for our 44th anniversary on Friday (7-5-2024). There were some "decent" reviews we read so thought we would try it. What a mistake. First I ordered an "Old Fashion" drink that is almost a staple drink here in Wisconsin....terrible! I had to send it back to the bar to be remade....the second one was just a bad as the first....then my wife ordered the "short rib" dinner..... the rib tasted good....but it only came with ONE rib....for $36.....????? For the two of us the bill came to $145......way over priced for what we received. I would suggest if anyone is looking for an upscale place to go for dinner in Delavan go to Johnathan's in downtown Delavan...great food and reasonable pricing. We would not go back to Fire 2 Fork again.....too bad as it looked like a nice place....VERY disappointed. read more

Lots of issues, considering we always heard such great things about this place and had never tried it. Something is up with the beer. Not only were they out of the beer we wanted, both beers we eventually ordered were tasteless and just not good. It's almost like they didn't clean the beer lines. Who knows? The food was acceptable, but nothing stood out, with the possible exception of the Duck Fat Fries. Other than that, the pizza was just okay and most of the sandwiches our group ordered seemed to be fine. But here's the kicker. If you have a gift card and pay the balance in cash, you will be charged the credit card surcharge. Seriously?? My credit card was nowhere in sight, but they still ended up charging the credit card upcharge. The waitress said their system treats gift cards as credit cards, even if you pay cash for the excess. WHAT?? Even though it only ended up being about three dollars more, it's the principle...and that fiasco (along with the bad beer) was enough for us to say we'll never go back to that place. read more

Bummed - tonight I decided to bring our family (their first time) and the service was incredibly slow. I watched 4 tables get their bills before me after I had asked roughly 20 minutes prior. The food is good but for the price you pay, it should come with a salad/soup to start. If I'm spending $35 on a pasta dish, it could come with a starter. We made reservations for Saturday night 5 adults for Mother's Day well in advance. When we arrived they put us in a small room full of kids. It was horrible. We left. My fiancé made a reservation 2 months ago for Saturday 1/21/23 for our engagement party. When we arrived with our party of 11, we found out that the restaurant was closed for "winter break" according to the recoded answering message. this caused us to have to find another restaurant to host 11 people instantly for our engagement party, which was tremendously disappointing and hurtful for such a special occasion. I received a call today on 1/28/23 to confirm my reservation. I informed the person on the phone of the situation stated above, to which I received an "I'm sorry about that, not sure what happened." unfortunately this did not make up for the memory that was tarnished for the rest of our lives. I would recommend getting the persons name who takes your reservation, and calling to confirm multiple times if your reservation is in any way a special occasion. read more
