I stopped here for breakfast because it was close/off the freeway as the start of a weeks long road trip. The place looks like a Greek restaurant/truck stop in the middle of nothing really. The place was empty at 7:20 in the morning except two tables. My service had no issues because it was not packed on my visit. The decor is dated like an old Greek restaurant with some color on the walls and exposed brick. I didn't want a big breakfast because I was having lunch down the road so I ordered 2 eggs with sausage patties and sourdough toast. The eggs were perfect sunny side up. The sausage patties were on the dry side but flavorful and the sourdough was average but it made a nice toast sandwich. Overall it was an average breakfast because I just ordered the basics but it did the job to get me off to the start of my trip and exactly what I wanted.

I was looking somewhere to park me semi truck for a a few minutes. Grateful that this diner had truck parking. Really wanted to go in and grab a bite of this American Pie;) but I was already stuffed. This place has plenty of truck parking if you need it before a delivery or pick up. There is a Chevron Gas station around the corner.

On our way home from Milwaukee to Quad Cities we were looking for somewhere to eat breakfast. We saw the sign on the highway and decided to take a chance and check it out. Glad we did. The parking lot had semi trucks and a few empty trailers parked but lots of cars and vans. The inside is adorable and clean. The staff is super friendly. The menu has typical breakfast fare but also fancy pancake toppings such as pecan, cranberry pecan, Oreo s'mores. They also serve lunch and dinner with a small Health and Fitness section. Definitely pleased we tried it out and highly recommend!

Server was extremely nice & knowledgeable on the specials & menu. Food came quickly & was delicious, especially the bacon. Much more modern inside the restaurant than expected & there's outdoor seating as well (not sure if it was open when I was there or not). Reasonable prices. BUT, no one had a mask on including the servers despite the mask mandate & people dying so 1 star off for that.

I recently had some business in Darien the kept me a couple days and I was able to eat here a couple times. The food is good homestyle food. Nothing too fancy but really high quality. The smothered steak was perfectly cooked and very substantial with a double scoop of mashed potatoes. The breakfast omelet was one of the best I've ever had with perfect hash brown potatoes. Unfortunately by the time I finished my meal I was too full to try one of their desserts. :(

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat and ended up staying nearly 2 hours. Great atmosphere, it's a fully updated diner. Great coffee, great food, great service. Best part their cheesecakes and homemade and totally worth the try!!!

Steakburger rare, eggs, hashbrowns. The rest of the hashbrowns were tucked under the steakburger.

Must try: Lobster Roll!…read more Why: Loved the butter toasted brioche bun loaded with Lobster! Bun has slightly crispy exterior and was buttery goodness. Fried and coleslaw were also really good. Tons of fries that were also slightly crispy - just how I like it. I ate outside since the weather was nice and enjoyed my meal while people watching. Notes: The workers were friendly and helpful. They have indoor table seating as well as oyster bar area. Many tables outside of market too. This was my first meal during my visit to Milwaukee and what a delicious way to start!

St. Paul Fish Market is located inside the very busy and popular Milwaukee Public Market indoor shopping complex downtown. It reminds me of the Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle. The only parking option that I am aware of is metered street parking. The building has 2 levels but the 1st floor is where most of the business are. It appeared to me that St. Paul's is the most popular business there. It is a seafood restaurant and fresh fish market. They have a small sit down area for table service dining or you can order your food to go at the counter. After being seated and reviewing the menu I decided to order the same meal I had over 11 years ago. I went with a bowl of clam chowder for $8 to start and then added a fried grouper sandwich ($16) with french fries for another $2.50. The chowder was perfect. Flavorful, delicious and I wanted more (5). The sandwich also was delicious and satisfying made with quality fish, lettuce, tomato, and bread. However while it tasted very good halfway through eating it the bread bun started to disintegrate and then quickly turned to mush before I could finish. Then I needed a fork to finish it. It got messy and I don't like that in a sandwich. It's only for that reason I give an overall 4 score instead of a 5. The french fries were very good tasting too but I had ordered too much food and only had room for a few of them. The table service was very warm and friendly. I believe St. Paul's is a very good choice for a casual seafood meal but please buy more sturdy buns!

My prime was very tender. and My wife had the breaded pork tenderloin. There were two huge tenderloins that had thin and crispy breading and were moist inside. She enjoyed them but noted a little more seasoning in the breading would have been nice. Great atmosphere and set, good food with very filling portions. 4.5

The Duck Inn in Delavan WI. will fill the "bill" (pun intended lol). I didn't order any of the many different kinds of Duck Inn menu items because I was told in advance to get the Prime Rib. But first I had to quench my thirst with the famous Wisconsin Brandy (not bourbon) Old Fashion. Brandy, some simple syrup, bitters, cherry and orange and just a touch of lemon/lime soda. And the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp was amazing. Sorry no pic on these. They went too fast. A beautiful fresh and very crisp salad preceded the main course. I heard about the portion sizes of their beef so I went with the smallest size they had. When it came to the table I told the server, " I think you gave me the large size". Nope this is the small. It was crazy huge. So stop eating the salad, put the loaded potato on the side because it's gonna take every inch in my stomach to finish this half of a cow! lol Well after almost all of it was gone, a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a table shared dessert was next. Home made ice cream with blended Cream De Menthe and Cream De Cacao piled high with more Cream de Menthe drizzled over the top for good measure. A heavenly experience indeed. All the locals filling up the bar and tables, laughing and have a great time was so fun to be a part of. Don't bob and don't weave. Just duck into the Duck Inn for a truly wonderful experience.

We arrive right on time and the host stand "can't find" our reservation. I had to show them my reservation text confirmation & my email confirmation (super welcoming vibe!). So we had to wait 10 mins for them to put a table together. Then we sit down and then wait ANOTHER 20 minutes for a server to approach us (this was after we chased down two employees to ask if we even had a server). By now we've been at this restaurant for over 30 minutes and no one in our party has even been able to place a drink order. Next the prime rib. At this price point, you expect quality, but again everyone was disappointed. Tough, nearly impossible to cut and no flavor. Both potatoes (baked and mashed) were terrible too. Baked potatoes ice cold and dried from over-baking. Mashed were so overpowered by garlic, it was almost unpalatable. How could a supper club not have a decent potato recipe? Overall I was very embarrassed that I had invited my friends to this restaurant, as it was such a subpar and expensive meal. Tables around us were getting great service so maybe they had a better time. I won't be coming back.
