What a find! Jerry's Cafe is a local restaurant that has amazing food, superior service, and an amazing vibe. Honestly, it is not fancy at all, and it might be a bit weathered and old, but you feel like family in this restaurant. We actually ate there on our way to Madison, WI, and then again on our way home. We most definitely would recommend this place! read more

Amazingly Good Food This is a great place to eat. It was very busy when we were there for breakfast on a Sunday morning, but we were able to get a table outside. The service was fast and friendly. the menu has some surprising items that all looked delicious. Our food was excellent. An extra benefit of eating at Jerry's is the bakery next door. The breakfast at this cafe is always perfection. Saturday morning this place is jumping, but I've never had to wait long. I've had many things off the menu. The restaurant has American and Mexican cuisine. My favorite is the corned beef hash skillet on American fries (they also have hash brown potatoes if you prefer) with a side of pancakes. I can only eat half of it because it's so huge, but I take it with me and have leftovers. I'm not a leftovers sort of gal generally, but this is beyond deliciousness. My honey always gets an omelet and is full and happy when we leave. Great food, great service, in and out. My kind of place. read more

I didn't have high expectations (having not read Yelp reviews), but this small family place is a winner. All the standard breakfast items were good: eggs, pancakes, skillets, bacon. The special was unusual (grits, red bell peppers, cheese, grilled chicken, eggs to order) but a great item. Service was friendly and prompt, and the prices very fair. It's easy to see why it was crowded at 11 on a weekday. I'll be back to try more of the menu. read more

Never judge a book by it's cover.... Was guided here by fellow Yelpers and was a bit concerned when we drove up, as it looked a bit off-putting. But the service was great and food delicious. To start off with, I don't normally order eggs, so I was having a hard time figuring out what I wanted, because I wanted to try to eat a bit healthier and give eggs another try. The server was extremely patient with me, helping direct me to the place on the menu where I could build-my-own after asking if I could substitute some items on a pre-made dish. He worked with me to do an omelet with red peppers, onions and cheeses. I opted for the side of hash browns and buttered English muffin, with their home-made jam. It was UH-mazing!!!! The eggs had nice chunks of red peppers and onions, made with egg whites and covered by a plethora of cheese (healthy went out the window with all that cheese). It was so good, to-die-for and has me sold on eggs.... The hash browns had a nice crispy covering to them, which I like and the layer under that was firm and not mushy. The muffin was perfectly buttered, hot and crispy, yet soft. The jam tasted like a mixed berry jam that complemented the buttered muffin perfectly. Hubby had the Denver omelet. Fresh ingredients, hot, plenty of cheese, it had onion, green pepper, ham and Monterey jack cheese. He polished off almost everything on his plate, he loved it. We also originally ordered small OJs and the server went back to get the glasses to show me the two sizes, The small is like a very small kids cup, so I appreciated him taking the time to point out how small small was and we switched to Large OJs. The service was really good, he was on top of things, friendly, helpful and the food came out pretty quickly, even though the restaurant was at capacity. The only complaint I have. When I say they were at capacity, I mean they were packed. There was no social distancing at all and a few people came in without masks. The workers had them on, but not everyone was wearing them properly. That was the only negative part. I would definitely recommend them. Food was so good that I took my leftovers home, along with half of my hubby's muffin. read more
