Haven't been to this restaurant in a long time so I decided that we give it a try again. Had a fantastic waitress tonight. This place is really cool inside. It's got a nice long bar with the really cool decor. Atmosphere is casual. Is clean the only negative thing is parking can be a challenge as it is downtown. Not much you can do about that. I had a special which were these barbecue pork medallions with their potato cakes. All I can say it was out of this world fantastic. The pork medallions are wrapped in bacon and grilled. They put a sauce on it that is out of this world. I think the waitress said it was a bourbon barbecue sauce drizzle. Very, very good. We also had their shrimp dinner and the shrimp batter. It's like a raised batter and the shrimp are decent size. Portions are generous. The shrimp was awesome. We had an appetizer that was made with potato peelings. The appetizer loan was enough for at least four people to enjoy, which was topped with cheese and ranch dressing with pieces of bacon and onion greens. It was very good. All it was a fantastic dinner. Price wise is slightly higher than average, but you get huge proportions. read more

We popped in for lunch because it look inviting and I loved the pub vibe here! There's a good amount of options and daily specials - as well as seasonal - and I chose the special of a beef sandwich with mushrooms for me and the kids. The food was really nice and perfect for a chilly winter day and our server was very quick and helpful. They have a deal where if you pay cash, you get the discount savings that they save from the card fees, so I picked our meal of a sandwich with the included cup of chili and an extra side salad so I would have enough cash for the meal and a nice tip. I was surprised at the bill then, because it was more than I'd expected. I realized that 1.50 was 50 cents each for the cheese, onion, and sour cream that came with the chili. Fine, but I really appreciate being told that when I'm offered something to accompany; I don't feel it would be on the customer to ask if every offer is extra. Went for my daughter's 21st birthday dinner. party of 6.....4 of us there first went to podium, stated we have a reservation for 5pm stated my name. They didn't have my reservation! They did seat us next to a large party with 3 crying and screaming kids. Next waitress gets the 4 of us our drinks. Birthday girl and boyfriend come takes their drink orders...asks for ID. Doesn't even say Happy Birthday! Then comes food orders. Boyfriend orders a fish sandwich....instead of nicely stating they are out of the cod for the sandwich waitress rudely says we don't have cod! Brings drinks for them no waters when asked for waters when ordering the drinks. Food comes out and servers asked if anything else needed.....1 girl did get anything asked for the other girl never brought what was asked. Waitress never came to check on us after recieving food! Once we were all done eating 4 people of the party left so just me and my husband sitting there which was over 10-15 minutes the waitress finally came over asking if anything else was needed. Gave not gone in here in 3 years!! Stopped in tonight had a prime rib and a burger for $70!! Prime rib was tough and didn't taste very well at all no flavor!! The waitress or staff witnessed two ladies FaceTime with others, actually had conversations with them and did not comment or suggest that the ladies be considerate of others. All others in the restaurant area were subjected to hearing both sides of the FaceTime conversation. No courtesy and our waitress should have said something. I mentioned to our waitress that these ladies talking loud were disrupting our meal and everyone else seated in that half of the restaurant and she did nothing. read more

Service. Everyone one I talk to in Elkhorn says that's the Problem. I ate there on a Monday when a lady was working bar. I eat out most of the time. I only eat at Some Place Else rarely. The man serving at the bar is excelent. He is fast and efficient. Unfortunaly the waitresses are not. I have feed back that they are UNFRIENDLY. The server who waited on me said "I ate like bird". She was at the bar on Mondays unfortunately The food is excellent but I won't eat there as often because of the service. So I say get rid of your bad servers! It pains me to write this review because the food was pretty good. Unfortunately however, I got extremely sick after eating lunch here. I ordered the chicken wrap with a water and afterwards was stuck in the bathroom for hours at the airport. This was the only food I ate that day, hours earlier, so I am able to trace it quite easily back to Someplace Else. read more

This is a favorite place of my parents when they are in town, so they decided to bring me for dinner tonight. It's a cute little restaurant in downtown Elkhorn, which is a small town not too far from Lake Geneva. The service was really friendly. Everyone has a smile and our waitress with some punky purple hair was absolutely delightful. The food was also excellent. While they are known for their chicken pot pie, I chose the French onion soup (hot! But amazing!) and Buffalo chicken sandwich. I'm in town a few days and will defiantly be back to enjoy their diverse menu again! read more

We went on a recommendation from a family member and we were very pleased with the service, the drinks, the bruschetta, and the fish and chips. My wife had the pot pie and it was good but had a watery consistency instead of being a thicker sauce. Overall we enjoyed it and will most likely try again. read more

Daughter, Friends and I were in town for a competition - went looking for a yummy local place to try out when we stumbled upon this Wisconsin favorite. We just watched several people head into this place and we instantly knew, the crowd doesn't lie. We were met with amazing service from the start!! The restaurant was alive and buzzing with excitement! Very clean and inviting. The food was delicious!! We started with curds of course, with homemade ranch (which met all of my expectations). My daughter had the salmon and loved every bite. I had the chicken salad and it was wonderful as well. My daughter's entree came with some fresh bread and wow! It was phenomenal! I topped my meal off with a Bloody Mary and anyone that enjoys this drink knows it's often messed up- this restaurant even nails their Bloody Mary's! Our waitress was so kind and inviting. We actually had another waitress come over and compliment my daughter and her friend- she struck up a conversation about their competition as well. We order the bruschetta for an appetizer and it was really good. I had the French onion and I saw previous complaints but do not agree. It was hearty, cheesy and great flavor cleaned the bowl!!! I highly recommend the chicken pot pie. That was one of the best I have ever had. I am a mixer so I busted up the crust and mixed it all together. You will most likely take some home. Love this restaurant but they need to work on their menu. Food allergies are a fact of life. Ignoring them will not make them go away. I have food allergies. They are very common and easy to manage. I usually do not mention them because with common sense and a well written menu there usually is no problem. However, this restaurant seems to think that whole grain bread and bread with nuts is the same thing. It is not. So do not be shocked if your sandwiches with whole grain bread somehow, someday happen to kill a customer with nut allergies. You need to state that these sandwiches are being served on bread which contains tree nuts. How can you not know that? Guess I will go back to fish tacos and the steak sandwich which were my usual choices. I've never been unhappy with those selections. You are still my favorite place for a nice lunch with a glass of wine. read more

Our server was Kaylee. She was excellent. She knew exactly how to space the courses,she had some great suggestions and was very attentive without overdoing it. A great server. I will plan on going back next time we head to Wisconsin. We intentionally took the non-highway route because I wanted to get local food. It was the best decision. The food hit the spot . The mushroom Swiss cheeseburger was cooked perfectly medium rare,the Freakin' Fries were wonderful. The corn chowder tasted homemade and wasn't oversalted. The French dip had plenty of beef. We live in Elkhorn and go here often - whether for lunch, dinner, snacks or just a few cocktails - it's always spotless and the service is friendly and outgoing. Everything we've tried here has been great - burgers, chicken, wraps, steaks and my wife's favorite - their veggie/garden burger. Their Friday fish specials - fried or baked - are outstanding and come with appropriate sides as well as a freshly baked mini-loaf of bread. Their chicken pot pies are the best I've eaten anywhere. Appetizers are all good - our favorite is the pretzel bites - a large portion with plenty of melted cheese sauce to dip them in. Chicken fingers are also excellent and are a good meal when paired with their homemade potato chips. They have a large selection of beers on tap and many more by the bottle. They make a mean brandy old fashioned in a nice big glass and are also known for their Long Island Iced Tea - served in a giant glass. We haven't tried one yet but they've become very well known for their homemade pizzas - they look great and are very reasonably priced. All in all - our favorite place for a cocktail or a bite to eat. read more

I just so happened to be in Elkhorn and was trying to find a place that was open because I forgot to eat breakfast. The menu looked pretty good on google and I opted for it. The soup, cream of broccoli was stupendous and the fire cracker shrimp, absolutely amazing! The salad special I had left a little to be desired but I'm not a huge fan of blue cheese so that's my fault, but I'm happy to say that the lettuce was crisp and tender no wilting whatsoever like a lot of other restaurants I've been to. read more

I liked the local pride your restaurant had. It made me feel at home in some way. It was packed when I visited, but the servers were well organized and welcoming. Wasn't a fan of some music they had going. Maybe they can find local artists - their front section would be perfect for live music. The food was quick and hot - good soup and good Chicken Pot Pie. Delicious food in Elkhorn!! My friends just moved to Elkhorn and were raving about this place so when I visited we had dinner here. I had the chicken ranch bacon wrap which was so yum!! Fries are solid. My party had the filet, a burger, chicken pot pie and they all loved their food. The desserts are to die for. Visiting for the weekend and found this little gem! Fresh food and super friendly staff. Ordered spinach and artichoke dip- delish. Homemade, not from frozen. Also got the pretzel and cheese do. Really yummy and warm. But the stars were really the homemade chicken and dumpling soup- out of this world. For entrees we got the chicken pot pie and the Friday fish fry. Both were stellar. The pot pie was so good i wasn't the recipe. The fish was moist and hand batter was light and crispy. We will definitely be back! read more

Been here a couple of times now. Great food and service. Never a long wait for our food to arrive and kid friendly atmosphere!

Went here for dinner. Nice little place. Large portions. Gets very loud and our food had so much garlic and oregano in it it was basically inedible. Wife enjoyed the homemade soup. This is a really nice, hometown restaurant with a surprisingly good number of vegan options. That is always a big plus for me. it can get a little bit loud in there, only because I believe they have tin ceilings or what resemble tin and that can create some extra noise. But it's great if you're going in with a bigger group or family get-together and then you won't have to be concerned about being too loud. The serving staff is very friendly and upbeat and the food is excellent and always taste very fresh and homemade. read more

I am in town for business and called to place a To Go order. Wednesday is the Chicken Pot Pie Special with soup for $8.00. I was told it would be $11.95 because it was To Go. I looked all over the menu and nowhere does it state that the $8.00 price is for Dine In Only. Poor customer service and even worse management that you make hidden "loopholes" to make extra money off those that want to take their food back to their hotel! Lost business on your part! read more

I want to start off by saying that I got FOOD POISONING when I went to this restaurant with my friends. The service was only ok. I ordered a white claw and she gave me a can with a bunch of food and gunk on the top of it. I told her if she could get me a new one and I swear she went in the back and wiped it off which means it probably fell into the white claw because it was opened when she first gave it to me. Then I ordered the chicken panini which looked decent but after 30 minutes of eating it my stomach was hurting soooo bad. To the point where it hurt to even move. Side note: I ordered a Caesar salad and it came AFTER I was done with my food because she forgot. I had to ask for it again. Anyways, I was in pain all night long...throwing up/pooping (sorry tmi). I did not get any sleep. The only reason I came to this town was to go skiing with my girlfriends and I could not even do that because I was SO sick. I literally laid in the hotel room all day. I DO NOT recommend. FOOD POISONING. SICK. FOOD IS CONTAMINATED. I would put zero stars if I could but this app makes me choose 1 star. read more

This place has it all. Food, drink and atmosphere. I had the pub burger and fries. I ate the fries 1st so they would not get cold. They were great. The Berger was 1st class also. The spouse has the Asian wrap and fries and she too ate the fries 1st. Enjoying the wrap as much. We were too full for the deserts so they are for another time. First time here on a Friday night! Place was hopping! Holy chicken pot pie in the sky- the thing was huge and looked fabulous- another time! We had some drinks, a pizza and some pretzels sticks! The service was outstanding! The wife had a salad which she said was very tasty! The pretzel sticks seemed to be kind of generic- was hoping for a real pretzel. The pizza was eh... seemed like a processed crust, the ingredients seemed fresh, it was just a pizza, I was hoping for more. I'm kind of a chi town pizza snob, so don't hold it against them.
