The breakfast was aweful. Food was cold and not cooked. Chef was inexperienced. Would not recommend this place.

Celebrating Love, Suffering Through Dinner: Hunt Club Steakhouse Fails When It Matters Most…read more Anniversaries are sacred. They're the one night a year you splurge a little, dress up, and expect the restaurant to hold up its end of the bargain. Hunt Club Steakhouse couldn't hold up its end of anything. My wife and I arrived to celebrate twelve years of marriage. We left counting the minutes until we could get out the door. From the jump, the evening felt like an afterthought. We were tucked into a small side room -- four tables, terrible acoustics, voices ricocheting off every wall. When I asked to be moved to the main dining room, the answer was no. Those tables, we were told, were reserved for larger parties. Except the main room was full of couples. Just not us. Then came the waiting. Drinks: ten minutes. Rolls and butter -- rolls and butter -- took over twenty. Our entrées took over an hour. Our waitress apologized a few times early on, which was appreciated -- but somewhere around the 45-minute mark, she stopped coming by altogether. Out of sight, out of accountability. Meanwhile, tables seated well after us received their full entrées and were eating through their meals before ours ever arrived. Not a quick turnaround -- significantly faster service, start to finish. When I finally voiced my frustration, a staff member stopped me mid-sentence, promised they'd let us enjoy the meal first and then address my concerns. What actually happened? The check arrived instead. Then every person in sight -- waitress, host, anyone -- vanished. We paid and walked out without a single acknowledgment. As for the food: the steaks were underwhelming -- poor cuts, little flavor, nothing that justified the price or the wait. The mac and cheese was decent, perfectly fine, forgettable. We added lobster only to find a small handful of pieces scattered across a plate meant for two or three people -- a genuinely insulting portion. The one bright spot? The Brussels sprouts. Genuinely delicious. Truly. I wish I could say the same about anything else. Hunt Club Steakhouse had one job on our anniversary: don't ruin it. Poor food, chaotic pacing, vanishing staff, and zero follow-through on their own promise to make it right. This is not a restaurant that respects its guests -- especially not on a night that actually matters.

Flavor was great but I wasn't excited when I saw my plate. 3. While they present an elevated experience the underlying quality of the food did not match their high prices. You can tell they are trying for a quality experience and I would give them an A for effort. The food was good but the pricing did not reflect quality / taste. Our server was nice and you could tell she knew what she was talking about. The restaurant itself was very clean. Our final bill had items we did not order.

Old fashions were so good you would have thought they named the place after them, original pressed and sweet, blackberry, tequila (get this one especially), just wow. Appetizers went mussels (10/10), cheese curds (10/10), spinach artichoke dip (10/10) and then for the mains blacken grouper, legit melt in your mouth prime rib and filets, I can keep going but I'm making myself hungry again and I put on 7 pounds from this meal last night. Special thanks to our server Logan, very good at his job and made the experience that much better. We aren't into the area too often but you bet your buns we will be back!

Unfortunately we weren't seated outside because it was full and we were hungry so we accepted being seated The service was great our server was very attentive to us . The place is super nice family friendly and like I said it's right in front of the lake which is super nice . The food was actually really great. I'm not a ribs person but that's one of their specialty it's really tender and super tasty. They had like a charcoal chicken it was half the chicken this was super tender and it was cooked so well. I will definitely come back to this place when I'm in the area. Happy eating!

Outside a band was playing, people were enjoying cocktails or food, and kids were frolicking in the water or the sand. The ribs were very good and my friends raved about the fresh-caught walleye. Sadly we' had no room for desert. Very crowded on weekends and parking is a nightmare - we were near 1/2 mile down the road as there are No Mars Parking signs fronted on the lawns of residents. Can't blame them as this place is, as they say, an absolute gold mine. Located about 4 miles from Lake Geneva do include it in your plan; you'll be sorry if you don't!

Ambiance: Ambiance and restaurant decor was one of the highlights of the night in my opinion. Lots of neat items and decor - interesting glasses, art, couches/chairs, leather menus, etc. Food: We had the Peruvian chicken wings and the wagyu beef tacos. I thought the Peruvian chicken wing dish was quite good - 9/10. The chicken was very flavorful and the salad was a decent size and tasted good. The wagyu tacos in my opinion was underwhelming for sure. It really tasted like pretty bland meat and the tortilla chips on the side were almost guaranteed straight from a bag (Aldi blue corn tortilla chips if I had to guess ). I wouldn't personally recommend the tacos. If I were to go again, I'd get the chicken wings again, and get the hangover salad instead of the tacos. Drinks: We had the coconut cocktail, the cucumber cocktail, and I had a beer from Nicaragua. All were tasty, albeit definitely lacking punch, i.e. I couldn't actually tell you with a fact if they contained alcohol. The Nicaraguan beer was super light and I liked it. There was a beer from Czechia but it was out of stock.
