He remembers his regular customers and has fascinating stories from his time living in Asia. It's the kind of place where you feel like more than just another transaction. The store offers a large variety of liquors and beers, with something for just about every taste. There's also a fair selection of non-alcoholic beers--a thoughtful inclusion we really appreciate, though we'd love to see even more variety in that category as demand continues to grow. The wine selection isn't exotic, but it's clearly curated with the local customer in mind. You'll find quality bottles at fair prices--perfect for everyday sipping or easy gifting. Geneva Liquors is a great example of what a neighborhood liquor store should be: clean, welcoming, well-stocked, and run by someone who truly cares about the community. Fast forward to today, and the dreadful history didn't bring down my experience. They have an okay cigar collection near the host stand, and a great space to smoke/relax. There's a range of seating, from an outdoor patio, to tables near the front windows, to a bar, to more dimly lit seating toward the back...and a rooftop to boot. Lots of options! Their drink menu seemed extensive, lots of spirits and beer/wine available. Pricey, but I guess that's part of being a cigar bar, especially one that's also storied institution. Service was excellent, great staff that were friendly and very helpful. If you like cigars and don't mind a smaller selection, this place is an excellent option for a low key place to smoke and unwind.

When I asked if they had anything over $100, Josh responded with, "I can charge you however much you want," and then told me that if anyone pays over $100 for a cigar, they're getting ripped off. I clarified that I hadn't bought anything yet and was simply asking questions because I was unfamiliar with cigars and wanted to get something high-end as a gift. I told him I'd stop by later that afternoon, and when I arrived, I was greeted and went into the humidor to browse. While I was looking around, I overheard Josh at the desk laughing about our phone conversation and mocking me to his friends, saying I got ripped off and making fun of the questions I had asked. As someone who was genuinely trying to learn and was fully prepared to spend good money on gifts, being publicly mocked for asking beginner questions was honestly shocking and extremely unprofessional. Came here last night for the jazzy music tribute to Prince by Marqueal Jordan and his band. We had…read morea dinner reservation at 7:15 and the show started at 8 in the Drawing Room. While the band was warming up, the 1960 black-and-white romantic comedy/drama The Apartment was playing on a big screen over the stage. I loved that, but I did wish that closed captions had been on. We had the burrata (awesome) and split the smash burger and a side of fries. Both were good, and there was a great sauce/aioli served with the fries. The show was awesome, this band really cooks. We each had a couple of cocktails and they were also good, and balanced, so not too sweet or sour. My husband felt that his drinks were a little too sweet. The vibe is retro, sexy, upscale and with fun touches like the showgirl wallpaper designed by Melissa Scott in the entrance area. The whole space is beautiful and would be great for a date, girls' night, guys' night or any special occasion. One really nice thing was that during the band's intermission there was a fabulous performance by the burlesque dancer Lily Rascal. What a fun way to keep the party going. It was a really fun night, I'll definitely be back.

Drinks were good and music was great but service slow as they are way understaffed! Food over priced and not that great....our calamari was gross and pasta cold and too rich. I wish I could say this place is great, but it's not and unless there's a band playing I would love to see I won't be back..... i So over priced and overrated ... those hidden fees are BS!!!!
