The Tasting Room in Monona, WI is a phenomenal lounge to visit if you are a true lover or connoisseur of wine, special cigars, and looking for a relaxing upscale lounge with an outdoor patio with beautiful fire pit with a view of the Yahara River (inlet). I recently, visited the Tasting room for a friend's birthday celebration who loves smoking cigars. When I first walked in, the lounge was dimly lit with an absolutely stunning beautiful bar, a beautiful modern fireplace, cozy furniture, and it wraps all the way around to a back corner that has a large screen tv with couches and huge round table. The vibe was giving me sophisticated, warm/inviting, and extremely cozy! I went on a Saturday night. It was a fully packed lounge with people enjoying themselves! I was really impressed with their bar area where you can also see behind the bar is a stunning spacious walk-in humidor, crafted in classic Spanish Cedar that showcases hundreds of handcrafted premium cigar brands that you can purchase and enjoy in the Tasting Room lounge. They carry some limited edition such as Opus X, Liga Privada and Davidoff cigars. I really appreciated the excellent customer service at the Tasting Room. I myself have worked in the service industry and have high expectations. Although it was really busy, the bartenders were very professional, prompt, friendly, and consistently made sure my friends and I were well taken care of throughout the whole entire night. One of the bartenders even though he couldn't get to us right away made sure to acknowledge us/greet us and that he would be with us shortly when we first sat at the bar. They have a very nice selection of unique sophisticated craft cocktails, an impressive special selection of whiskeys, beer, wine by the glass or bottle, and even great options for non-alcoholic drinks including Sumatra coffee. I really enjoyed my craft cocktail I tried called the "Hydromelon" made with Charentais Melon, Lemon, Amaretto, Sparkling Wine, Barrel-Aged Gin, and Mint. It was a beautifully made cocktail with beautiful presentation that was not too sweet but also fruity. My friends and I enjoyed ourselves the whole time we were there for my friend's birthday celebration relaxing, chatting, and enjoying our drinks and cigars. I highly recommend checking out the Tasting Room if you are looking for a relaxing cozy environment to enjoy great drinks, conversation, and great selection of cocktails. If you are bringing a larger group you can even make a reservation on their website! Make sure to check their website because they sometimes have live music on certain dates! This place is definitely a sophisticated but casual place to unwind!

Amazing aesthetic, beautiful collection of cigars, and right on an inlet of the lake! Indoor and outdoor seating makes for a wonderful spot to spend several hours with friends. Warning: you will walk out of here smelling like cigar smoke!!! But honestly, you should expect that.

Vibes are absolutely immaculate at this spot. Bartenders were very friendly and welcoming, prices are very affordable and the overall atmosphere is really comforting and unique. Sat outside on the patio on a beautiful day and just enjoyed my drink surrounded by the lovely foliage. Highly recommend you can't go wrong here.

It was my son's 21st birthday and he mentioned the Tasting room. I never smoked a cigar and knew nothing about them? Who knew a cigar could last 45 minutes to an hour and a half, well the staff was very helpful and gave us there opinion on a couple of mild stooges. We had fun and a couple of drinks! Nice place.

This place is man cave central! Cigars of all kinds and price points. Beer, wine, cocktails galore. Ample seating in big comfy living room style leather chairs. Many group tables, long bar area. Lots of big windows for natural light. Big HD TV in the back of the main room for watching games as well. Adam the GM is a cool dude who helps you out with anything you need. This is a ideal place for the guys to come after work for happy hour or a weekend guys day out to just chill and watch a game or just shoot the sh*t and be guys period. Prices all reasonable too.

Very nice cigar store, there don't seem to be many places in Madison for what I'd call "Full Service" cigar shops.

It happened to be near the theatre we went to, so we decided to stop in and check it out. They have nearly 775 different types of whiskey to choose from, which is wild! I loved that they offer different ounce sizes so you can sample a few, and they even pair it with water so you stay hydrated while tasting (smart touch). Price ranges between ~$7.50-$20.00+. The place had a cozy, lounge-like vibe and was pretty busy, but the staff was friendly and helpful. It's first come first served for seating, just like any bar. We sampled a few whiskeys and also tried their premade espresso martini. The whiskey selection was phenomenal, the espresso martini was decent, not the best I've had (it was premade), but still enjoyable (it's made with Tito's, which isn't my favorite base, but I appreciate the fresh coffee beans they used). All in all, this place is a hidden gem. Great whiskey, friendly staff, and the perfect cozy spot to escape the rain for a while. I'll definitely be back next time to try even more from their list!

Madison is such a great place…read morefor a rooftop experience given that our buildings are generally lower than the Capitol and it is a lovely focal point. Alas, we have so few, and I'm so excited this concept opened! I came on a fall/winter evening, but definitely would love to come back in sunny outdoor weather. On the top floor of the Moxy hotel, Atico serves up a really lovely array of Mexican and Mexican-themed foods. They've got some really elevated entree options, but also have a host of street tacos. While their menu is a bit pricey (some were actually outrageous), the happy hour specials they had listed on the table were a great deal -- definitely would love to come back here for happy hour. I ordered 2 al pastor street tacos and a carne asada street taco. They're nicely sized and are decently full with meat. Onion and cilantro tops them off just like a street taco should be. I thought they were pretty tasty. I didn't love that the pineapple in the al pastor was chopped on top and was served cold (the pineapple, not the meat), but I still ate every ounce of both my tacos, so take my complaint with a grain of salt. My margarita was also good, I appreciated that they were willing to make it "up" instead of "on the rocks." Our server was very accommodating and able to answer questions. Overall, I don't know that the food is worth the price, but it would definitely be worth it on a rare occasion to enjoy the rooftop ambiance. The happy hour also solves for this conundrum. So, I'd certainly like to be back to Atico.

I haven't had any of their food but the drinks are always great here. They have an extensive menu. The space inside is beautiful and I love the bright fun colors!
