I called this business ahead of time because I know very little about cigars and was looking to buy some really nice cigars as gifts for friends. I spoke with an employee named Josh and asked a few simple questions about their inventory and what the most expensive cigars they carried were. When I asked if they had anything over $100, Josh responded with, "I can charge you however much you want," and then told me that if anyone pays over $100 for a cigar, they're getting ripped off. I clarified that I hadn't bought anything yet and was simply asking questions because I was unfamiliar with cigars and wanted to get something high-end as a gift. I told him I'd stop by later that afternoon, and when I arrived, I was greeted and went into the humidor to browse. While I was looking around, I overheard Josh at the desk laughing about our phone conversation and mocking me to his friends, saying I got ripped off and making fun of the questions I had asked. As someone who was genuinely trying to learn and was fully prepared to spend good money on gifts, being publicly mocked for asking beginner questions was honestly shocking and extremely unprofessional. I visit my mom in Wisconsin every year and whenever I'm here, I like to see what's in the area. Restaurants, tourist attractions, shopping or whatever I try to see it all. One thing I hadn't done was check out any of the cigar lounges. My good friend who's also a cigar shop owner always encourages us to visit other lounges and support them. This led me to visiting Lake Country Cigars. Lake Country Cigars is located in a small shopping center across from Target. Once you're inside, you'll find yourself in a large well ventilated space with lots of comfortable seating and a large walk-in humidor to the left. I was quickly greeted by one of owners and went to see their wares. The humidor is huge and features a really great selection of sticks. Prices were amazing to me, especially since I pay an insane amount of taxes in CA. After I made my first purchase the owner took me around and showed me around. They have a full bar, a beer cooler, yearly memberships, lockers and a members lounge (soon to be redesigned) in the back. I could write a lot more about Lake Country Cigars but I've already gotten carried away. Bottom line is you have a great space, a great selection of well priced cigars and friendly ownership. I live in California and was born and raised a Cheesehead from Upper Michigan. Take from that whatever you want, I take it as I may not be the best but I'm in the top two. I love California almost as much as I love cigars, this isn't about that. Jana is sweet as the sugar cane that went into the rum I am sipping right now with my Cohiba Royale. You may question my drink choice for this cigar and if you do you are wrong. It pairs nicely. You know what else pairs nicely is a tip jar and Jana. I almost docked this review one star as I feel Jana really needs a tip jar. Please get on that Mr. and Mrs. Matheny. Hell, I'll bring one from Cali next time if need be. Which brings me to my next point, if you are a customer who doesn't tip Jana you too are wrong. Back to the meat of this, the shit you all want to know anyway. Cigars. This shop fucking crushes it. Great selection and solid prices. The layout of the humidor is like something one would expect in cigar country like, Florida, Nicaragua and so forth. Well done guys! The lounge itself isn't overdone yet is well done. Not another fucking sports bar that sells a couple of shitty Gurkha sticks that are dried out and crusty like that clown on the Simpsons. Nope, Lake Country Cigars has a cool culture that honors the cigar at its root...a story. Every stick is a story and Lake Country Cigars is an ideal place to share in those stories. No blaring TV, just enough volume. Plenty of space with plenty of air to free your thoughts and let the stress of the day float away into wisps of savory smoke. Outstanding vibe and extremely friendly & knowledgeable staff! I haven't been to their location in far too long (not terribly close to me), but we ran into them at the Wisconsin Harley Davidson Rally - they had a very comfortable and welcoming outdoor lounge with an excellent selection of smokes and beverages available. Matt and Michelle were extremely friendly and helpful. Matt listened to me and helped me select a stick (One of their house "Revival" smokes - excellent!) Matt told me about all the changes they have made to the lounge and we will definitely be visiting them soon-you should too! read more

The sign out side simply says CIGARS. AKA LCC. Very cool cigar shop/ lounge full of everything cool from luxurious furniture without the pretentious clowns. I was surprised to see a wide variety of people here at a Herf event. They are welcoming and friendly. Imagine an automatic family of brothers and sisters of the leaf. The patio along the north side usually has a few others enjoying the good life. Keep supporting your local brick and mortar business. They have special events that can be found on their social media. I use Yelp to praise establishments that deserve it. Noth this one. Went in to get a couple of cigars after work one day. Of course I had on work clothes which meant dress pants and dress shirt. A group of rednecks were sitting at a table playing cards or whatever. And of course they are dressed like fat slobs/hobos, and guessing they either don't work for a living or are ticked off at the world/wife/government/God for some reason - and of course because they were drinking they decided to mouth off a bit. So, being the better man, I decided to not respond and buy my cigars and leave. The person behind the counter was less than helpful and was obviously trying to shuttle me out of there. So all y'all say it is under new ownership. I'll stop in and see if things have changed. If so, I will gladly revise this review, But for now, not a chance. read more

One of the best humidors I've seen in southern Wisconsin, with a wide variety inside it, both in brands, ring gauges / length, and price points. My partner and I stopped by for the first time over the 4th of July weekend, and enjoyed spending some time on their patio, as well as hanging out inside. The space to have a drink, play games, or socialize while enjoying a cigar was quite nice, and the wifi was a bonus. The staff and others there were all laid-back and very friendly, and the staff who helped us were very knowledgable as well. And I certainly enjoyed the fact that it did not come off as a Good Ol' Boys Club - I'm a gal who likes a cigar cigar just as much as the next person, and would appreciate a modicum of respect, regardless of my gender, thanks. =) read more

Dave from EP Carrillo is one of the best reps in the business. I'm in sales myself and somehow I can never resist his pitch lol. Very knowledgeable and personal. You really feel like he knows you even if meeting him only once or twice. Northern Brewer had an Irish stout and Bourbon Barrel Porter that were both delicious and paired well with the cigars. They had samples of wine as well. The best part? They can teach you how to make it! Very knowledgeable as well and learned a lot about beer in history from the Egyptians to the Pilgrims lol. Gary Ellerson? He's Gary, cool and aloof seeming but friendly as heck when talking to people and getting to know ya. All the staff at LCC worked hard keeping the place clean and customers served which is hard when the place is so PACKED lol. Got a bit smokey in there but that's a cigar event in WI in the winter. The cigar shop is situated behind a gas station off of highway 83 in Delafield. We met up at 9 a.m. on a Saturday morning, which surprised me that a cigar shop would be open this early. I step inside and am greeted by their friendly employee behind the counter. The place is very well kept and surprisingly clean given you can smoke cigars inside. They also offer a fair variety of bottled beer for sale to enjoy with your cigar. The cigar shop is set up in several different seating areas. They feature a large table and chairs for the business person who wants to set up a laptop while enjoying a cigar. There are several comfortable leather chairs and a coffee table for conversation. A small bar with big screen tv, and a more sophisticated seating area for a card game or two. So whether you're stopping in to buy a gift or there to purchase and enjoy a cigar for yourself, they have a little something for everyone. read more

Very weak knowledge and service! Called on Saturday, December 2nd, to check availability of the Cigar Oasis brand of humidification units (wanted to buy one as a gift). The person who answered the phone said "I don't know what all the brands we have are, but there are a lot." I asked if he could check for the specific model I was looking for, as I wanted to buy it as a gift, and would buy cigars too...he responded with "You'll have to come in and check." So, I ordered the Cigar Oasis Ultra on Amazon (Sunday delivery for free), and went to Prime Cigars in Brookfield where I spent $150 on cigar inventory. Lake Country Cigars used to be so much better when Don and his wife were the primary contact...has definitely went downhill. read more
