    Chicken shawarma and babaghanoush

I'm so excited there's a new restaurant near where I work! And it's delicious! I truly believe that for a restaurant to succeed they must have at least outstanding food or outstanding customer service, and fortunately for these guys they have both. You are greeted with so much hospitality and openness from the moment you walk in. The chicken shawarma was clean but also flavorful, and it was my first time trying babaghanoush without tahini which I think might be the turkish version :) and it was really good! I will absolutely be back!

Tried this local, family-owned restaurant on Wednesday and have eaten there again yesterday and today! I've introduced this place to my coworkers, who all have ordered several days in a row, too. Owner was incredibly warm, welcoming and personable. He is obviously very proud of the restaurant and quickly shared the fact the he has food delivered DAILY, which is prepped in house. The food was delicious, fresh and authentic. So far, I've had the spice & regular hummus, chicken shawarma plate, gyro, beef kabob plate, Shepherd salad and baklava. Working my way through their incredible menu. Don't sleep on this unique offering on the south hill. Highly recommend this place, for both the food quality and wonderful service.

Even when there is little to no line, it takes an unreasonable amount of time to receive a drink. Having 3-4 employees working at a time does not seem to make a difference in the speed of service. What's even more frustrating is the constant lack of ingredients for menu items. I regularly order the same bagel, and almost every time I'm told they don't have the ingredients to make it. This has been an ongoing issue, not a one-time occurrence. If a location is repeatedly unable to make certain menu items, those items should not be advertised as available. Customers should be able to expect reasonable wait times and that menu items can actually be ordered. Unfortunately, this location consistently falls short in both areas.

The foam tasted somewhat artificial/plastic and took over the whole drink. I enjoyed the white coffee flavor though. I would return for a standard menu item as the gals working were very friendly. They just underwent a price increase in the new year and covered a portion of their menu with a sign stating that. I wish I could've seen the whole menu. Prices were on par with regular coffee shops. My 16oz iced drink was around $8.

There is a small space to sit that is primarily within the business, but plenty of room in the shared space if you are looking for a place to extend your visit. I asked the barista some questions and noticed that he was meticulously measuring coffee grounds by weight and tamping with precision. He was very helpful and willing to discuss the possibilities to help me land on my drink of choice. He proceeded to make me the best "dirty chai" I have maybe ever had. The chai is sourced from a small business in Bend. It was a perfectly spiced blend. The espresso was smooth and flavorful. It was so delicious I went back for another the next day. This establishment serves only beverages (as far as I could tell) but they are made with care and skill. Highly recommend.

#1 coffee in Spokane FOR SURE. I mean that so seriously. In…read morethe past two years I have tried several well recommended spokane cafes that were all great, tasty, and slightly more expensive than I would like. Hatch beaker + burr transcends all of these. I never expected that I would find one of the best lattes I've ever tasted in Spokane of all places after being a Portland/Seattle coffee elitist. The seasonal dulce de leche iced latte was so strong in the best way and brought me back to life with how flavorful it was. Seven dollars even and worth every penny. You can see in the attached photos that I really tried to get every drop of the drink. It was so good that I got another latte to go (cardamom), also so so good. Everything else: cute space with lots of plants and two tables (but other seating available in the commons), barista who is clearly very knowledgeable about every part of the coffee and actually likes making the drinks. Really nice service and you get updated on your drink even when it's busy which is nice, I've never had that in other cafes. I really can't reiterate how amazing this coffee was. Must try if you have not, and if you have you definitely already know.

Experience/Service: the place is cute cute cute! The service was top-notch, friendly, and genuine. Food: wow! A bakery this truly is. I had the opportunity to try several types of scones and some sort of almond roll and it was all delicious. I especially loved the lemon-blueberry scone and I normally don't even like lemon. If I had been in town more than 2 days I would have gone more. Price: normally I don't mention this because prices are in the eye of the beholder. But compared to my native SoCal the prices here were $1-2 less per drink. A latte and a huge home-baked scone for $10? Wouldn't happen elsewhere. So bravo for keeping prices reasonable. Loved visiting Spokane and this was a key part of my experience in the South Hill.
