To go Feteer box and drink
Lori S.

My first time seeing feteer made by hand. The chef twirled the dough above his head until paper thin, showing an expertise that was both entertaining and amazing. The chicken feteer we ordered was delicate and crispy, filled with chicken cubes, cheese, tomato, bell pepper and olives. We ordered a custard feteer also but ended up with two chicken feteers. We will definitely go back and try other items on the menu. The cooks told us the menu will be expanding and will soon include halal meats. They are in the building that was previously a Subway on NW Blvd.

Very good! Fresh made food from scratch takes time so don't expect fast food but it's worth the wait!

The dough is light and flaky the gentleman making it was flinging it the air and it was thinner than paper and crunchy!

I ordered the Fig Sandwich and the Fancy Pants Sando because I could not decide between the two as they both sounded very unique in different ways. I called the place up and arranged to come pick the food up. The person on the phone was very thoughtful in keeping in mind at what time I would arrive so he could arrange for the sandwich to be toasted at the right time. I appreciate small details like that. When I arrived, I noticed there were several tables and a bar where you can essentially get brews and food. I noticed they had several beers on tap which I was very curious about, but unfortunately did not have time to sit down and eat at this establishment. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The two sandwiches came up to $40ish. I brought the sandwiches home and first tried a few bites of the Fancy Pants Sando. I will have to say it was the better of the two sandwiches. I appreciated the goat cheese in the sandwich and the mix of different ingredients, but it was not something I would consider to be a great sandwich, at least not for me. Others might find it pleasant, but I did not care for it much. The fig sandwich was the one I was more excited about and expected some sweetness to be cut down by the bacon. I don't think it was a perfect balance between the two, and I got a tad much of the overwhelming sweetness of the figs in this sandwich. Again, others might enjoy it, but I didn't care for it. I really wanted to give this place a great review, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The beer looks fun though and might be a good reason to give this place a try, and you may enjoy their sandwiches and many people have. For me, that's a no-go.

Every contact I've had with Grain Shed employees has been more than pleasant; they truly seem to enjoy working there, and take good care of their customers. I need to shout out to Toby and Audrey before I go on. They each provided 110% on customer service, being personable and making sure we left happy. On 2 separate trips to Spokane, I've visited the Grain Shed 3 and 4 times over the course of 3 days (yes, if you do the math, I went twice in 1 day, and the restaurant was NOT just around the corner!) Everything I've tried is delish, but in case you have to limit yourself, I highly recommend the OG, the beets and feta toast, the bread flight with sauces and cheese, the molasses ginger cookie, and maybe a chocolate croissant. I've heard their bread pudding and pumpkin pie (holiday special) are out of this world! I tried to get over to listen to their live music before leaving town, but still need to squeeze that into my schedule. Travelers: save space in your luggage for a loaf of bread. Sadly, no shipping at this time, but I'm waiting for it! This SoCal resident is officially The Grain Shed's #1 fan. I dare any of you to try to take away my title!

The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.

We told the server it tasted burnt & old so she offered to make a fresh pot. It was just as bad, when she asked we said it was still really yucky and she said that a lot of people don't care for it. I ordered the tamale waffle. The beef was great, eggs were a bit overcooked but no biggie, the waffle was really hard and dry. It needs some sort of crema sauce or something. It wasn't horrible by any stretch but it wasn't great either. My mom got the veggie breakfast burrito and she liked the veggies though it was bland, felt like it could have had more sour cream & cheese. It was massive and came with a side. The added 16% service fee is some real BS. It says on the receipt that it's split between the server & the kitchen staff. Call me old fashioned but I thought it was on the restaurant to pay their staff a living wage. At $18 a breakfast plate & $4 for drip coffee you should be able to pay your staff. And then we're supposed to tip on top of that? Nope.

We were in the mood for italian/pizza and found this spot in Spokane. Excellent choice!…read moreWe had a variety of meals to try and split. A Tuscan pizza, meatball sub, salad, and chicken parm with spaghetti. Among them all, the pizza tops it with a good mix of flavors from the salty bacon to the fresh tomato...all great toppings to make up the pizza especially with the crispy crust with a nice fluff. I would return and recommend folks to give it a shot.

The menu was pretty straightforward with various pizza and sandwich options. I am a big fan of French Dip and have not had a French Dip as good as Adamson's French Dip in Sunnyvale, CA (although their service and owner both suck!) so I decided to get a "pardon my french Dip." Decided to order the "whole" sandwich which as a pretty big serving. It felt like I had ordered two sandwiches, and was able to eat one half for lunch and one half for an early dinner. The sandwich itself was well made and the meat was not too dry, which was great. The au jus was nicely flavoured and not too salty, which I enjoyed. They used a liberal amount of onions (although, I could have gone for more!) and otherwise had the sandwich assembled very nicely. Along with the au jus, the sandwich had a very good complement. Definitely a French Dip I approve of.
