Came here for lunch and shared Brussels and then had the tomato soup and green salad. Brussels were amazing! The other two were good. Friends had cauliflower, impossible burger and bulgogi --all good but Brussels were definitely the hit. Cute place with good service.
The outside is very unassuming, but the inside is aesthetically pleasing and simple, yet dramatic. It's perfect for a date night. The food was delicious well thought out and interesting. We had mac n cheez , crispy cauliflower, truffle fries. I would return to try other dishes. There is a kids menu but it doesn't feel family friendly. The prices are mid and that is the only thing that would make me pause. Service was okay, not bad but not friendly.
Super delicious! Had the Rüt burger with normal fries, and it was super delicious! Some of the best fries I've ever had, anywhere. The burger was super good too. Friend had the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings and their Pomegranate Soda, and they were all super tasty as well! Definitely going back

Looking for a vegan restaurant that will not only delight the vegans in your life, but also the folks who eat meat? Then look no further than Rüt. Solo diners can't make a reservation online as the minimum is two or more diners. However, there is a small bar - it only seats four - so if you do happen to find yourself solo dining, show up early because this place gets busy and there isn't much bar seating. Cocktails are reasonably priced at $14 and the Luna's Lemon Drop that I ordered smelled like a spa - think eucalyptus - and was well balanced and tasty. For dinner I ordered the Brussel sprouts. They were really good. Crispy on the outside. The not so chicken sandwich was spicier than I expected. I felt my lips tingling after consuming half the sandwich. I honestly wouldn't have known it wasn't chicken if I wasn't at a vegan restaurant. I also upgraded to the dirty fries. The kitchen was fast, so courses were coming out quicker than expected and I felt a little rushed. I didn't have enough time to eat the dish in front of me without letting the next one get cold. The server acknowledged this and apologized saying they don't normally have this issue and that their timing is typically better. It was restaurant week during my visit, so perhaps being ahead is better than being behind. Also, the bartender was running the drinks to tables, which made it a little bit more difficult to get the same level of attention from the bartender. While here, I also had the flourless chocolate cake, which had an almost mouse consistency.

I decided to go with a dish that featured orecchiette pasta and vegetables in a broth, and I'm not even exaggerating when I say that it was one of the most incredible meals I have ever had! The dish was seasoned perfectly, featured a delicious selection of fresh vegetables, and the warm broth was nothing short of perfection on such a cold day. Here's where the problem comes in...I live almost 5 hours from Spokane! Now that I have experienced the exquisiteness of Rut, I must return, but it's such a long drive! Here's hoping they bring this deliciousness to the other side of the mountain someday!
I've always wanted to try a vegan restaurant and was so happy this was my first! Parking is easy to find and we were welcomed as soon as we entered the door. Small but beautiful and clean interior. There were about 10 tables or so and we were allowed to choose whichever one. Even though it was already 1 PM, there was already 3-4 tables filled. I chose the melted eggplant sandwich ($16) - it was so delicious! It had a little bit of everything and the flavors really worked well together. Not too overpowering with spice and the eggplant was cooked perfectly. Since it was my first time having vegan cheese as well, I am impressed by how similar it is to real cheese (texture, flavor, color). Would recommend eating quickly or else the bread will get soggy from the heat of the sandwich. Fries were 5/10. Good flavor, but I'd prefer a thicker cut with a more unique sauce. They were basically shoestring fries with ketchup, though well-salted. Also beautiful presentation on the black dish - I love it when the food to plate ratio is almost 1 to 1. The price was on the higher side, but I was surprisingly full afterward. I also tried ginger cauliflower wings. Very good! The batter is thick and crunchy. It's definitely more cauliflower than chicken-like (which is what I assume it is supposed to mimic). But cauliflower was also cooked well - not too over or underdone. Strong ginger flavor, which I like. You can buy it half/half with the buffalo cauliflower wings for an extra $1. I personally would not buy an appetizer for $15 (total of 10-11 pieces), but I understand that more probably went into it can it presents. 4.5/5 (-0.5 for price) - would recommend to anyone wanting to try a vegan restaurant! I would be interested to try some other menu items.
I like this place and am on the fence about whether to rate them a five. Hmm. A cool, chill vibe. Good music. Would be a good place to go for a drink. Service was also chill, a bit slow, but that goes with the vibe. Just don't expect to get in and out quickly. Tomato soup was good, especially for being vegan. Not that vegan tomato soup is super difficult. Buffalo cauliflower was mixed. "Ranch" dressing was phenomenal. Wow, so good. The cauliflower itself was a bit too salty. It did melt in your mouth. Maybe should have gotten the Thai ones. Was disappointed that there was no chana or dhal dishes. And no teas. I know, the menu is what it is, but it didn't completely work for me, and so 4 stars.
Rüt always impresses me with their consistently great vegan food. We ordered the pumpkin Bucatini and it was exceptional. The flavor was perfect and the noodles were cooked exactly how they should be. We also had the mushroom jalapeño burger. It is probably my favorite thing on their menu. It has some insanely good flavors with the Seitan bacon, crispy onion straws, and tasty jalapeño relish vegan cream cheese! I highly recommend he gives his place a chance if you haven't already!

One of my favorite places in Spokane. Love the aesthetic inside and the variety of dishes to choose from. The service was fast and friendly. They weren't too busy for a Friday evening. Really great food! I got the Jalapeño Mushroom Burger with the dirty fries. The fries were amazing, perfectly crispy and the parmesan tasted very accurate to real parmesan. For my drink, I got the Earl's Island which was delicious and just like a spiked earl grey milk tea. This place exceeded my expectations! read more

Finding vegan food is not always easy, thank goodness I found RUT! The service was great -super friendly and checked in on me. I ordered the chicken sandwich with side salad and it was really good! Not greasy at all. I'm usually not a fan of pretzel buns but this might've changed my mind! The vinaigrette on the salad was perfect. But now, let's get to the star of my meal...the pumpkin cheesecake!! Holy vegan cow was it delicious!!! It was the perfect amount of sweet, it was creamy, the crust was so so good!! Whenever we are in the Spokane area we head here for lunch or dinner, it's one of our favorites. We truly appreciate a fully plant-based restaurant and especially one that serves cocktails too! We made It a point to have dinner here recently while in the area. We started off with a yummy white bean queso dip, a tasty way to start our meal. I also enjoyed a nice vodka & soda and the crispy not-chicken Caesar salad which was very fresh and flavorful. Until next time Rüt, we'll be back! read more

Everything about this restaurant is amazing! The food is fantastic, full of flavor and creative. The staff, they are so nice and knowledgeable. There is probably nothing on the menu that would be disappointing. I had the Jalapeño Mushroom Burger and the Thai Ginger Cauliflower Wings. All vegan!!! And let's not leave out the Gertrudes Mule that I had while waiting for my food! EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT !!! I wish they had a restaurant in the Los Angeles area where I live because I would go there at least once a week! Even if you are not vegan, I would suggest that you give it a try. You won't be sorry. read more

We went early for lunch and the place was almost empty, only one other couple in there at the bar. Service was quick and pleasant. Since it was too early for adult bevvies we just got iced tea, which was tasty and served in nice glasses. We ordered the jackfruit tacos and the Mac n cheese and shared both. Mac n cheese is normally served with broccolini but we asked them for no broccolini which they said was no problem. When it came out, they had placed the broccolini on a little small plate in case we wanted it anyway I guess (seems like a waste since we said we didn't want it.) Mac n cheese had little orange coconut flakes in it that were supposed to be like fake bacon but they didn't seem to have that flavor at all. As vegans for many years we've had lots of fake bacon and this did not taste anything like bacon or fake bacon. The Mac n cheese was weak as vegan macs go. We were both disappointed as this is a high end vegan place and for the price point we were expecting to be impressed. (My partner makes a fantastic Mac based on a vegnews recipe.) The slight truffle flavor was nice. I think it was also sitting out waiting to be brought out to our table for a bit long so wasn't very hot. Jackfruit tacos were the star of our lunch. Perfect in every way. We think they perhaps fried the tortilla just lightly which made them just slightly crisp and held up well on the plate and while eating. Fabulous flavors with cilantro, sprouts, radish, pepitas, and some type of fruit we thought maybe was mandarin. Absolutely fabulous and my partner and I savored every last bite. We saw the server who took care of us also tended the bar, making and serving cocktails to the couple seated there, and they also took care of the take out orders, of which there were several during our short time here. The restaurant is located in a parking lot attached to a grocery store. Not much ambiance here, so I can see just getting take out would be the preference. However, our server was great. If you check in here you'll get a 15% off dessert coupon. We skipped dessert. This place is pricey. If you have cocktails and dessert you'll probably spend at least $100 with tip. We got out for less than $50 with only the 2 entrees and iced teas with tax and tip. read more

Feeling plant-based? This is your spot, quite honestly, though if you brought somebody that loves meat here and they had one of their veggie burgers, I doubt they would even notice. Haha. The service is phenomenal. They also do not take reservations. It's walked in only. But at least you don't have to pay for parking. My husband got the rut greens to start. I thought it would be half the size. We enjoyed the vinaigrette dressing. I got the Thai ginger cauliflower wings. They were out of this world. I definitely recommend them, and if they are on the spring menu since their menus are rotating, I will order them again! Hubs and I both got the jalapeño impossible burger. He got his with dirty fries, and mine was with sweet potatoes. Delicious, unfortunately, I was so full I could only eat half my burger, and with our yelp check-in, we got 15% off a dessert, so I had to leave one percent room to at least try that. Great place to try for those open to plant based foods! Took my friend who is dairy-free and we had a blast. The server was super nice and patient to answer all of our questions about what's in their food (like Harissa Ketchup!) and get us started with drinks and appetizers. I personally thought the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings were too spicy for my liking, but I would definitely want to try their Truffle Mac the next time around. The atmosphere here is great for a first date or even just to take yourself out on a date. I ordered the Thai Ginger Cauliflower Wings, which I must say, for an appetizer they served you a lot of food! Their lavender lemonades are elite ! For my main course, my mom had the Mushroom Marsala and I ordered the Korean BBQ Tacos, both delicious ! And of course, for dessert and Hazelnut Berry Cheese Cake. Most of all the service here was spectacular! I'm definitely coming back ! P.s. Make sure you look at the menu, because it tends to change depending on the season. read more

Rüt bar and kitchen- what a delicious new stop to my Spokane restaurant list. The inside is cozy and comfortable with large windows. It is positioned right next to Rosauers grocery store and offers fast service. It's a great lunch stop for the neighborhood and can easily be walked to from all the nearby parks. Since it is right next to the grocery store, you will never have to struggle to find a parking place. If you do have a larger group it would be helpful to call ahead and make sure that they have room or tables to push together. There's probably only room for 10 to 12 different parties inside. Even though it is small and cozy, it is definitely an intimate and private setting. The food is vegetarian and vegan, and the chefs have created a fantastic menu for you to choose from. They have both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drink options that are fantastic. I am not typically a vegetarian or vegan eater, and I would still recommend this place to anyone local who just wants a good meal. read more
Cool new vegetarian restaurant! We went on a Friday night and ended up waiting for about a half hour for our group of 4 to be seated. We were slightly annoyed by this, but we went at a busy time, so what can you expect? I felt like the restaurant did a great job getting us in as fast as they could (you don't realize how small the whole space is until you actually get inside!). I hope that the fact that there's no meat on the menu doesn't turn people off from visiting, because despite that, RÜT really has something for everyone. I was impressed by their drinks - lots of craft cocktails that look delicious, and I even got a ginger ale that was delicious. But the food - THE FOOD. The menu might seem small but there's still variety for everyone (low to high levels of spice/heat, different ethnic flavors, and small and large plates). The Impossible burgers and their toppings could fool anyone (and the buns were artisan and delicious). And a friend got the tacos and said that they were delicious! Prices were quite reasonable for how much of the food is prepared from scratch and in-house. Definitely a place to check out! read more
