Service good.. ambiance good.. staff very cool.. other patrons very cool. Tucked away so you'd never see it! In fact, I had to help two separate groups of people find it!

This is Raj, he is one of my dearest friends, we met in Baby Bar over 10 years ago

Gurl, it's been 10 years later and I still can't get yew out of my mind. That's how I feel about Baby Bar. I try to visit everytime I'm driving through Spokane. (about 0.5 times/yr) It's the ambiance I love here. Sure, it's dark, but many bars are dark. I love how cramped it is. It's not cramped like the college bars of my youth, where everyone is sloshing beers on you and stepping on your toes. It's cramped like the kitchen at a houseparty, where you've ended up shoulder-to-shoulder with a smattering of perfect strangers. I met one of my dearest friends here when I lived in Spokane, and, a few months ago, he rented out Baby Bar for the after-party of his wedding! It seemed really fitting. Also: even though I haven't seen her in 10 years, Patty, the owner, still recognizes me! (by name! I guess this impresses me as someone that is legitimately poor with names.)

Making out is not allowed (there's a sign)

One of my favorite bars ever... kinda hidden, windowless, super cozy (ok, tiny), dive bar swanky (red drapes, booth-lined walls, swivel chairs), all with the eye-burning red glow of a darkroom. They were playing sexy old jazz the late Tuesday night we came in. What brought us in were Yelpers writing about the fresh squeezed juice, which was a good call: having the grapefruit cut and pressed specifically for my drink made for an exceptional Tito's greyhound. (The Moscow mules are excellent as well, thanks to their beerless ginger-beer). After a few you will want to make out with your date, but the sign says you have to go do that in the hallway.

Great vibes and better drinks!! A definite stop when you visit Spokane! Grab a burrito at Neato first and grab a fresh-squeezed juice greyhound!

A better bar than most bars. And the DeVito painting while you sip a cocktail? Simply Elegant.

In classic speakeasy fashion, this dark "craft beverage" bar (not JUST whiskey bar...according to…read morethe tender on duty) is tucked neatly behind a bookshelf within a storefront that lacks outer signage. You could easily (and maybe have...) walk past it and not even know. I found my way in and was faced with a dark room and a wonderfully lit display of liquors. They infuse many of their own and offer flights of infused whiskeys. The drink menu has options that feature many different spirits. I chose a gin and citrus drink that was a wonderful blend of bitter and refreshing. I made myself sip it slowly, but it was tasty enough that I could have thrown it back. The bar tender was friendly and attentive, as well as knowledgeable. The room seemed to be recovering from the recent Hoopfest...there were coolers and some things in the back of the space. There were also a LOT of bottles on the counter behind the bar. I don't know if it is always like this, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely go back for the drink and to show it off to friends.

If you love craft cocktails, this place is for you. I got one of their drinks which was a tequila espresso martini. I haven't tried tequila in an espresso martinis before but loved it. Most recently, on a Friday evening around 7 PM, my party was seated near the end of the bar by the restroom area. A server approached me in a confrontational manner and told me to move my chair because it was blocking the walkway. I immediately complied and moved it where he directed. Despite that, he repeatedly pushed and squeezed past the chair in an aggressive way several times afterward and then returned to confront me about it again. The interaction felt hostile, unnecessary, and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident. On a previous visit, a female server was rude and controlling toward our table, and on another occasion when we were unhappy with a menu item, the response was essentially, "You ordered it, you pay for it," with no attempt to address the concern professionally. The atmosphere is great, which is why we've continued to come back. However, after several visits involving rude and confrontational interactions with staff, it feels more like an ongoing culture issue than a one-time bad experience. I don't expect special treatment, but I do expect basic courtesy and respect. Hopefully management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve the customer experience.

It smelled amazing when we first walked in and we were immediately greeted and seated. Service was amazing! It was fast and efficient and our waitress made the process smooth and fast. We got two apps, the flatbread and the loaded deviled eggs. The devil eggs were creamy topped with smoky bacon and a pungent parm crisp. It was lovely! The filling was smooth and the smokiness of the bacon cut the richness of the filling. The parm added a wonderfully taste as well as added a interesting texture. The star of the apps was definitely the flatbread though. It was a soft bread with a sweetness chili based topped with bacon, peppers, and onions! It was delicious! The sweetness paired with the bacon was brilliant! I got the shrimp pasta! The sauce was beautiful and the shrimp were juicy and cooked perfectly. The wine was cooked off wonderfully leaving just a hint of flavor with none of the bitterness. The burger was juicy and the cheese was wonderfully meaty. The bun was fresh and bouncy. The veg were fresh and while we weren't ask how we wanted the meat cooked (my sister is very picky) it was cooked to her liking. The least strongest dish was the schnitzel. The meat was crispy, but honestly lacked flavor. The potatoes were also mashed with chucks which I just don't prefer and it also has skin still so...
