They have pull tabs, amazing video golf, corn hole tournaments, pinball, card and board games, 22 beers on draft, a giant selection of spirits and seltzers and are always supporting local! This establishment was walking distance from where we were staying at. We came in on a Saturday night to enjoy a few drinks before heading out to dinner. It wasn't busy at all, maybe about 5 people at the bar and none at the regular tables. They had a good selection of drinks (with decent prices) and great music - great music for me because they were all music that came out when I was in high school (oh the memories). Came here with my boyfriend and a group of friends (6 of us total). We sat right at the bar and it was awhile before we were even greeted, which was a bad first impression because there were only about 10 people there and no one was waiting to order drinks. Eventually we got the bartender's attention but he wasn't nice or friendly to us. One of my friends tried to order a drink and he actually said "That one's not very good, let me make you something else. Do you like peach?", which was rude. If it were me I would insist he make what I ordered. When it was my boyfriend's time to order he asked for a double shot of Rumple Minze with a root beer back and the bartender said "we don't have root beer. This is Press, not Red Robin." Strike two. If it were just my boyfriend and me we probably would've left after that. But we were with friends, so we resigned to not make it a big deal and just let his service be reflected in his tip. After the first round, another bartender had come on and came to serve us. I ordered a Bloody Mary from the first guy (which was good) and ordered another one from this second guy. My boyfriend mentioned to him that I loved the pickled green beans they garnished with and he put tons of green beans in it!! That made me really happy and lightened my mood. The second bartender served us for the rest of the night and he was so much better than the first guy. Friendlier, faster, and generally just a better vibe. If it weren't for him, I would've been turned off to Press completely due to how rude the first guy was. So in general, my experience was neutral. The Bloody Marys I had were awesome. Also, I loved the music that had been playing (mostly indie rock and indie pop). Omg one of the best bloody Mary's I have had in Spokane! Yummy garnishes, bacon, pickle, pepperoncini, and pickled green bean plus it's nice and spicy! Went here for a couple drinks for my hubs birthday. They have extra parking in the back as an FYI cause we didn't know and had a hard time finding parking. It's a smaller bar with games and outside corn hole. I docked one star because I didn't think the bartender was all too friendly but maybe we are just too old and since this seems like a place for the younger 20's crowd we didn't feel like we fit in or all that welcome. A tasteful place that pours freshly pressed DOMA coffee and offers decadent desserts from the region's finest bakeries. Oh, indulge already. it's close to Manito Park, so you could always take a brisk walk or justify the calories by doing the bakery-by-bicycle plan this summer. But there's more...much more. At night this coffee shop transforms into a bar. Press included the opportunity for us to kick back and enjoy a cold one with select bottled beers and a dozen drafts on tap. I am impressed with mix of our favorite micro-brews and with the depth of the wine list, featuring handpicked selections from all over the planet. And then there's the creative cocktails. I enjoyed the grapefruit martini. I can't imagine needing much more. But there is a deck, that this Summer, I can add to my "decks I adore" list, and live music because we all know I love to be serenaded. And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Press offers complimentary WI-FI and is open...wait for it....5am until 2am, 7 days a week, making Press a great place to start your day and end your night. I'm hard-pressed to come up with a something I don't like about this tasty new neighborhood coffeeshop. I went last night and it was hoppin'. The Trailer Park Girls were playing but the sound was not too good for Live Music. I think an acoustic musician would have been better than a band. The service was just OK. What a nice little establishment. This place is situated right next to the hospital in downtown Spokane. By all appearances it looks like a coffee shop, but its so much more. If you look behind the "barista-tender", you see that they are backed up by boos. So this coffee house also doubles as a full out bar. Under glass are also a gang of different sugary delights. We went for the chocolate volcano (I also grabbed a pink cookie for the drive home. It was meh). The volcano was all yummy warm goodness. One of the friendliest bartenders I've ever had works here. I wish I remembered her name. B and I celebrated our anniversary this past Saturday, so we drove to "the big city". Haha! We had gone to Dry Fly Distillery and were told by the guy there to come here to try their whiskey. The bartender girl was hilarious and said that she, in good conscience, could not sell us that whiskey, but she would let us taste it. B and I actually didn't think it was that awful, but we were amused by the bartender, so we stayed for a couple of drinks. She was super helpful and made me a delicious Irish Coffee. The bartender was very nice and felt terrible about her mistake. But I left with an upset stomach which continued through the evening, because she served me vinegar instead of wine. Apparently all it takes is one sip of vinegar to upset your stomach for hours. The atmosphere was very nice, and like I said the bartender felt badly about her error, apologized, and admitted she should have smelled the wine before serving it. So I will most likely return and give this place another shot. If I do so I will reevaluate my Yelp rating depending on my second experience. read more
