Press is my absolute favorite place in Spokane. They have pull tabs, amazing video golf, corn hole tournaments, pinball, card and board games, 22 beers on draft, a giant selection of spirits and seltzers and are always supporting local! It's totally got the Cheers vibe and you can almost always find great friends or make new ones while you're chilling! Six TVs with all the sports channels so you can always watch the game, some seriously incredible bartenders (I know I'm a homer but it's true), awesome events and parties, especially during the summer, best trivia in town with Tamale Box serving up smiles every Monday... it's just the best. My favorite. Get your butt on down there! Also, follow them on Insagram at @PressPublicHouse for all sorts of updates on drink specials and pop-up events! Cheers!

Nothing beats a nice cold beer and a shot of fernet! Mariah is absolutely amazing!

This place is absolutely amazing! Nothing like a nice cold shot of Ullr and a corona served up by the great Mariah!

This establishment was walking distance from where we were staying at. We came in on a Saturday night to enjoy a few drinks before heading out to dinner. It wasn't busy at all, maybe about 5 people at the bar and none at the regular tables. They had a good selection of drinks (with decent prices) and great music - great music for me because they were all music that came out when I was in high school (oh the memories). Service was great, maybe because it wasn't busy at all. This bar is a bit more sophisticated looking than some other bars I've been to. I would definitely come back.

Bloody Mary with extra pickled green beans

Came here with my boyfriend and a group of friends (6 of us total). We sat right at the bar and it was awhile before we were even greeted, which was a bad first impression because there were only about 10 people there and no one was waiting to order drinks. Eventually we got the bartender's attention but he wasn't nice or friendly to us. One of my friends tried to order a drink and he actually said "That one's not very good, let me make you something else. Do you like peach?", which was rude. If it were me I would insist he make what I ordered. When it was my boyfriend's time to order he asked for a double shot of Rumple Minze with a root beer back and the bartender said "we don't have root beer. This is Press, not Red Robin." Strike two. If it were just my boyfriend and me we probably would've left after that. But we were with friends, so we resigned to not make it a big deal and just let his service be reflected in his tip. After the first round, another bartender had come on and came to serve us. I ordered a Bloody Mary from the first guy (which was good) and ordered another one from this second guy. My boyfriend mentioned to him that I loved the pickled green beans they garnished with and he put tons of green beans in it!! That made me really happy and lightened my mood. The second bartender served us for the rest of the night and he was so much better than the first guy. Friendlier, faster, and generally just a better vibe. If it weren't for him, I would've been turned off to Press completely due to how rude the first guy was. So in general, my experience was neutral. The Bloody Marys I had were awesome. Also, I loved the music that had been playing (mostly indie rock and indie pop). I will give this place another chance, hopefully the bartender we started out with won't be there or at least have a better attitude.

Terra, Mariah and Anthony are some of the best people/bartenders you'll ever meet. Also if you like cornhole this is the place for you.

Every contact I've had with Grain Shed employees has been more than pleasant; they truly seem to enjoy working there, and take good care of their customers. I need to shout out to Toby and Audrey before I go on. They each provided 110% on customer service, being personable and making sure we left happy. On 2 separate trips to Spokane, I've visited the Grain Shed 3 and 4 times over the course of 3 days (yes, if you do the math, I went twice in 1 day, and the restaurant was NOT just around the corner!) Everything I've tried is delish, but in case you have to limit yourself, I highly recommend the OG, the beets and feta toast, the bread flight with sauces and cheese, the molasses ginger cookie, and maybe a chocolate croissant. I've heard their bread pudding and pumpkin pie (holiday special) are out of this world! I tried to get over to listen to their live music before leaving town, but still need to squeeze that into my schedule. Travelers: save space in your luggage for a loaf of bread. Sadly, no shipping at this time, but I'm waiting for it! This SoCal resident is officially The Grain Shed's #1 fan. I dare any of you to try to take away my title!

The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.
