Chicken Shawarma Plate, Lamb Kebab with add on Beef Kebab

We did the take out from here with no expectations of how things would taste because we are use to getting food from Dearborn. Man were we surprised! Everything tastes good and familiar to what we are used to. We'll definitely be back! If the owner can consider cooking ful or other breakfast food, we'd be so thrilled!

We were looking for the restaurant where we can dine with our dog. We've specifically checked Skewers on Apple Maps and Yelp where "Pets Welcome" and "Dogs Allowed" are featured. When we arrived into the restaurant - their stuff refused us with our dog and declined any "Pets Welcome" listed on their sites. Each business is responsible for their info and disclaimers on the map and Yelp, thus we can't accept their "we are not in control of that info". Very shameful!

Skewers was highly suggested by my friend, so both her and I decided to come here for Inlander Restaurant Week. My experience here was wonderful, and I am definitely looking forward to introducing my other friends to this restaurant! Since we came in on a Friday during restaurant week, the place was pretty full - overall though the atmosphere was very comfortable. There was one guy who was mainly helping my friend and I, and he seemed very attentive, often apologizing for the kitchen being a bit behind, which I really appreciated. In terms of the food, my friend and I were able to share so many different items as a result of restaurant week. We got to try a few dips, some falafel, a chicken schwarma wrap, and some baklava and rice pudding as well. Everything was so well-seasoned and delicious. I loved the flavors in my wrap, and the fries had this awesome seasoning as well. The entree portions were huge, however I wish they could've taken some of that quantity and give it to the apps as well, which seemed a bit on the smaller size. I was a huge fan of both desserts, however my friend didn't really like the rice pudding that much - it was our decision to be adventurous and try something new though, so I was pretty happy regardless. Honestly for the price of $25, I am very happy with the food and my overall experience. I was told that Skewers often does catering for WSU medical students -- I wish my program could get the same as well :'). Definitely looking forward to coming back!

1 of 1. Phenomenal spices, flavors, sauces and fare. The service was welcoming and prompt. The ambiance is casual and fairly quick. We had a chicken shawarma and beef wrap. They are both large, and come with wonderful spice covered fries. You also get a choice of delicious flavors packed sauces. This is a top spot and one of a kind restaurant. We also got a Pakhlava to go that was the delicious and the best ever. We will be frequenting often! So happy to have you in Spokane. I hope you'll be able to offer lunch hours soon as I think you would have a lot of business at afternoon time too!

Three of ate at Skewers last week and unfortunately all three of us were disappointment. I had the Kebab beef which was dry, lacked flavor and tough. Maybe it came off of a warming table? They most definitely did not come hot off a grill My two dinning partners had different dishes that included chicken. Both thought that there chicken was over cooked. Drinks were small, but very good. Let's hope that these are start up problems and once they have their rhythm in place the food will improve?

I actually picked up gift cards for the Eat Good Group at Costco because I wanted to bless a friend with a night out at Baba and honestly, it was such a good choice. I love this restaurant group in general. They also own places like The Eatery and Honey Eatery and Social Club (and a few others I'm probably forgetting), and what I appreciate is that each spot feels totally different while still having that same quality and care behind it. Baba has more of a Mediterranean-inspired vibe, and the food really reflects that. I'll be honest I don't even remember exactly what I ordered (it was one of those super busy weeks), but I do remember how good everything tasted... and I've got pictures to prove it. I am a big fan of shawarmas and I have had many different types from many different middle east countries, so I went in with high standards, especially after reading the reviews. The service was friendly and nothing to complain about. Ambiance wise, this is a place where you go up to the counter and order your food and seat yourself and eat. It is not a sit-down restaurant or a place with waiter service. The Shawarma came out close to $20. It came with fries as well. The fries were not anything out of the ordinary but the shawarma itself was not very seasoned. The meat was cooked fine and there were no red flags, but I think the seasoning was very underwhelming. Maybe I didn't order the right thing, but I think a shawarma is pretty standard. I would probably not return, if given the chance.

My wife and I had a rare night out for dinner last night and we were in Post Falls. The White House Grill is famous for their garlicky foods (not all) and we like that. We could smell garlic at the entrance. My wife ordered a version of a gyro and Greek salad, which she described as "OK." It was a pita with curried chicken, unlike what she preferred as a gyro (chicken, no curry), but she tried it. I ordered the souvlaki (lamb kabobs), served over a large bed of rice and with "garlicky" green beans. The lamb, by the way was very tough to cut and to chew, more like mutton but not with any fat. Rethinking, I shouldn't have tried lamb at all, simply on ethics (mine). It looked enticing but I couldn't taste any of it. That is because I couldn't smell any of it, even when holding the plate right under my nose. No smell, no taste. That was because our 18-ish server was reeking of perfume, like she bathed in it. I believe there was another servicer of about the same age walking around with the same odor. It reminded me of a church service and elderly ladies. The most difficult part here is that our server was great! She was clear-spoken, sharp, and friendly. I just couldn't breathe when she came to our table (3-4 times). Maybe she doesn't like to smell garlic or want to smell like it, herself, but I can't return. I have two adult children who are both professional servers, so I hope these young women will understand and make adjustments for the customers. She truly is great at her job, otherwise.
