Upstairs unit went out. Bad motor. Tired and upset Grandpa! Granted, the unit is 18 years old! Bryan had me up and running within a matter of hours. I will be replacing both of my units on my home with new ones and Bryan and Amtech will be performing the work! I've never met a more honest and trustworthy person! Everything Brian says he's going to do, he does! A true man of his word. That goes a long way with me. Thank you, Brian! read more

Amtech Mechanical is a phenomenal veteran and family owned HVAC Company. We have used this company over the last few years as our AC/Heater is hitting the 13 year mark. Of course our heater went out during the first snow and ice storm February 15, 2021. I called Bryan, the owner, and he immediately told me what to do to keep the unit running for heat without any damage to the heater and came over as soon as possible. Told us it was just the fan, and he ordered us a new one and the next day we were up and running. Mind you many people were having many issues due to the heavy ice, and snow. Then, most recently our 5 ton AC/Heater failed, called Bryan, he came over immediately and verified it was broken. So, long story short he got us the best deal for a mid-grade reasonably priced unit. I'll never forget what he essentially said, why buy a Cadillac when you can get something cheaper and works just as well. Amen Bryan. Thank you for your expedited attention. Bryan is personable, professional, and honest. read more

Been using Bryan since way back when! Always helpful. Always polite. Thinks he's funny...sometimes. Bryan repaired our ac while I was at work. Not sure what he did. But it was freaking hot and he made the ac very cold. Had him out again. Ants! Chewed up wires. He fixed it all in no time. He comes to check it yearly now. Sent him to my Mom's. If Moma ain't happy, nobody's happy! My Moma was very pleased with Bryan's work. She stays cool and happy. Highly recommend! Bryan treats us like family. He stays busy. Somehow he gets it all done and has time to make me laugh. read more

I should have taken a picture of the problem that Bryan found. Ants!! They wreak havoc on a system. I don't know what he replaced but I'm grateful he came quickly and the repair was affordable. I always check Yelp before I call anyone. AmTech Mechanical has great reviews. Even the ones that are not included in the rating. Those are all 5 stars! Bryan did an amazing job! Highly recommend. Don't wait until it's too hot and your air conditioner goes out! I'm going to have him come back in the Fall for cleaning and maintenance. Then again in the Spring. I have to trim my bushes back too. That's not good for my unit. read more

We've used Amtech since around 2000. That is when they installed our current system. It was a lesser known brand be Bryan assured me it used the same good components as other name brand AC units. That same unit is still going strong, almost nothing has gone wrong with it. They have performed maintenance for us now and again over the years, and even recommended another good company when not able to come out due to circumstances. read more

After good service for over a year they just stopped responding. I called several times trying to get work done and after hearing that they are working on it or will be there, nothing happens. I always paid on the spot. Now we get no quote, no work, nor cold air in my house. I finally gave up and am trying new contractors. read more

We awoke early Sunday morning to discover our A/C had stopped working and the house was warming up. I looked up local service companies and called four of them. Bryan from AmTech called a couple hours later and said he would be by mid day. He was prompt, courteous and informative. He didn't have the exact motor we needed, but used a spare so that we could stay in our house last night. He returned the next day with the needed parts and quickly swapped it out. I can't sing his praises enough, it's so nice to find an upstanding local businessman who cares about customers and quality work. AmTech will be the ONLY A/C repair number I keep around! read more

Lowering my previous review. The last 2 times I've called they have been too busy to come out promptly. I have switched my business to Honest AC. They are more willing to come out quickly on a night or weekend when I need them. Overall I am pleased with their work. Bryan is generally responsive and I've always thought these guys know what they are doing. Prices also seem to be competitive. I've recommended them to neighbors with positive results also. read more

Was recently disappointed when it took several calls to connect. When I finally spoke to Brian he said he would come by on the morning. He did not show up and never called. read more

Brian did an amazing job, I purchased a brand new unit, he spent a lot of time explaining all the options and the pros and cons of each. He is truly old school customer service that we don't seem to get these days. Call, his phone, he always picks up or calls back immediately. I need someone that does not rush, answers all my questions, and he even talked me out of a more expensive system because the maintenance would have cost me a fortune in the long run. Awesome guy, Thanks Bryan. Call him: 512 252 1126 read more

The owner operator, BRIAN, was incredibly helpful. As is the case with most AC repairs, he came out on very short notice, and did everything he could to get the AC back up and running. He had to make multiple trips out, And went above and beyond to help a struggling do it yourself or replace a fan motor. Would Highly recommend am tech to anyone needing AC work. Brian will be the only person I go to or use in the future. read more

Well...the worst happened and our air conditioner broke in the middle of Texas heat! I have had Bryan from AmTech come every 6 months to do a system check on everything. He is amazing--always offering suggestions on how to make my home operate more efficiently. He's a stickler for changing air filters (who knew you could prevent so much dust and damage by changing those suckers so frequently?!). He always offers advice on how to save money--insultation, etc., but never pushes a service. He doesn't even say it has to be done--just suggests it to saved money in the long run. So when the air conditioner finally died, he spent 5 hours repairing it. He quoted me $400 for the parts he installed, and didn't charge a penny more when he was finished. Then he sat down and told me the "good news" and "bad news." Good news is that it would work now. Bad news was that the compressor was on its way out. We talked through every option, and rather than call him in 2 weeks when it finally blew, we decided on a new unit. He walked my husband and I through the options, gave recommendations, and promised to put us at the top of the schedule. He even tried to come out on a Saturday (lives in Georgetown) but had too many calls booked for the day. Yesterday he arrived with another tech, and they spent 6 hours installing the new unit. It is wonderful! So much more efficient, quieter, etc. He spent extra time re-programming my thermostat (I had no instructions, so he was on the phone with Honeywell for quite some time), tidying up his work area, and writing up detailed notes for his records. This way, whenever he comes to check anything, he knows what has been done. He send the same tech to each job, so they get to know your house and all the workings. I left him a tip in cash, which he refused (I had to leave him alone in the house while I went to the doctor--another indiciation I feel he can be trusted), but instead said, "save your cash to start a bakery!" He loved my cookies. :o) I highly recommend Am Tech for any heating/cooling needs. It takes a long time to find someone you can trust that consistently works as hard as he does. read more

We were having serious issues with our AC not draining correctly and had hired another AC company who did not fix the problem. I decided to call Amtech and Bryan was able to come that same day and fix the problem almost immediately. We are so thankful and would highly recommend! read more

Amtech Mechanical is the only ac company I call. Brian is professional and always does a great job. Highly recommended!

Bryan and his team have always done me right. They helped maintain an old unit on it's last legs as long as they could, and were a great help when installing my new unit when it was time. Their workmanship is always great, and Bryan always takes care of what is needed. It also hasn't mattered when I have called, I tend to get a call back first thing in the morning, or shortly after. I would recommend them if you have A/C needs and are in the north Austin and Georgetown area. read more

Bryan & his team have always done an amazing job for us. Whenever we need assistance with our system, they are there promptly to take care of any issue. As the summer approaches... and the unthinkable happens in this Texas heat, you can count on them to take care of your needs. read more

Our AC fan motor ended up going out on the 4th of July. We saw that these guys work on holidays, so rather than suffer through the heat, decided to give them a call. I figured they wouldn't be out until evening sometime, but they were here within an hour of calling. Our AC is running great again. Thank you so much Amtech Mechanical! We will definitely be using them again. read more

Great service and honest people. Bryan and his team have always done a great job servicing my air conditioner.

Bryan and his team at AmTech are the best! I own several homes as investment properties in the Round Rock and Georgetown area and have used their services many times, everything from a basic A/C maintenance check to a new A/C system. They are super knowledgeable as well as honest, and have always been able to do a service call within a very timely manner, making me and my tenants happy. Last Friday I had an emergency call from a tenant that the A/C wasn't working, and it was 100 degrees. Within an hour of my call they were there and had the A/C working shortly thereafter. They all do a great job of explaining what they are doing as well as tips on proper maintenance to make your A/C or heater function longer. They have been a lifesaver to me - thank you AmTech! read more

We came back from vacation and it was 95 degrees in our house. After a long night of little sleep we called Amtech first thing in the morning and the owner answered the phone. He was very polite and said he would be here around lunchtime and would call first. True to his word he called at 11:30 and showed up at 11:55. He was very professional and courteous. We had a couple capacitors that had gone out and were very low on Freon. He fixed everything and the price seemed very reasonable. Would defiantly recommend to others. read more

Don't use this company it is horrible! I've never felt so cheated before. We called to have amtech mechanical look at our ac unit because it was continuously running and unable to catch up. The service tech glanced at our inside unit then looked at the outside unit, but never touched or fixed a thing!!! They charged us $125 to just look around my house pretty much. The tech told us our unit is unable to catch up due to the type of house that we have. I called a different company the next day who did an air quality test and noted that one side of our house wasn't blowing as hard then went underneath and found out our ac duct was on the ground! The worst part is that I sent an email and received no response called a week later and was told they would call back...still no response. Call again with no answer and left a message that hasn't been returned. I would have been fine paying the service fee but not fine when the invoice said they made a repair and nothing was ever done. We chose the company because of the good reviews on yelp, but never again. I can't believe they would lie that way and avoid all contact toward their customers due to a complaint. read more

I had my A/C go down on 4th of July and my wife is pregnant and Bryan left his own Family BBQ and came out to my house to make sure we had A/C to keep my wife happy and I tell you what with a pregnant wife that was the best thing in the world. He fixed the unit quickly and the he also help me with closing all the window and stayed around long enough to make sure the A/C was cool well before he went back home to his own family. Also he only charge standard rate even though it was a holiday and a weekend. I will be recommending him to all my friends and family. read more

Do not trust Bryan in your home. He came to our home on a Saturday to check out our AC in the attic because it suddenly stopped blowing air. We told him there was a problem with the unit outside too and he said it was fine and did not even look at it. He returned on Monday to make the repair to the nonworking AC unit in the attic - said he had to get a part from the warehouse that would not be open until Monday. When he returned he made a repair to the unit outside the house, that he never even looked at on Saturday even upon my request to do so then he was granted permission to enter our home and go into the attic ONLY to make the repair. I was downstairs but he decided to help himself into all of our bedrooms without my knowledge and did not ask permission to enter our bedrooms, nor did he request my assistance. He came downstairs and began closing doors saying that the air was on. I told him I should go up stairs and close the windows upstairs and he said oh we already did. I told him he did not have permission to enter our bedrooms and he violated our privacy and went well beyond the scope of his permission to be in our home to make a repair in the attic. He did not care, he laughed it off as if it were funny. He kept walking away from me and went outside. I shut the door on him and he left. I called him and asked for his home address so that I could come to his house and close his windows in his private bedrooms without his knowledge or permission so he can feel what it is like to be violated. To our knowledge, nothing was taken, but as a business person, you should know that you do not have permission to walk into people's bedrooms. A person has an expectation of privacy especially in their own HOME and PRIVATE BEDROOMS!! I dont care if he was closing windows or not. I was in the home, I never left the home and I was available to be consulted about permission to enter MY private areas!!!!! He has invaded my privacy and gone well beyond the scope of permission granted to him. He was extremely unethical and he exhibited very inappropriate behavior. read more
