My friend told me about Amore Pizza when I lived in Flushing years ago, and I've been coming back ever since. The pizza has a distinct taste and look to it. The cheese blends right into the tomato sauce, giving it that signature orange color, and it's super cheesy, like liquid gold. This is one of my favorite pizza joints, and I try to stop by whenever I'm in Flushing. It's $4 a slice, which is a little pricey, but definitely worth it. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a delicious slice of pizza. * CASH ONLY * Parking lot on premises

$4 for Regular Slice/$28 whole pie. I can't believe I've never reviewed Amore...did my review get deleted?!?! If you live in Flushing, Amore is a staple. Infamous for their incredible plain slices; They always had the best pizza. My only complaint is that their slices are too small; especially at $4 per slice. Conveniently located in the old Pathmark Shopping center; a must go-to after your grocery shopping! I grew up in Flushing and Amore has always been there. Always consistently great. I moved out of Flushing about 15 years ago but still go to Amore whenever I'm in the area. For me, it's not just great pizza; it's pure nostalgia!

This is in an unlikely location but it's well known and revisited by regulars. Please note it's a cash only establishment before you go! The pizza was delicious. They can pack up an entire pie in a small to-go box separated by wax paper for those of you wanting to take a little bit of NY home with you. The owner and crew were awesome, super personable and knew his guests personally. The game was going and he walked around and checked on the tables himself. The place itself is really simple but it's the atmosphere you're going for (after the pizza). The energy is high, fun and loud (in a good way!). I'll be back for many more pies!

4.5 This is probably my most nostalgic pizza joint in Queens. I don't get to come here often, but when I do, I'm never disappointed. There's a reason why it's considered one of the best pizza places in NYC. It's located right off the Whitestone Expressway, at what many used to call "the Pathmark shopping center" (now Stop & Shop), right between the Subway and the Delicatessen. For those who haven't been here before, don't judge a book by its cover. From the outside and inside, it's a pizza place that probably hasn't been updated in over 15 years. The people who work there, know all the regulars. However, if you're looking for a classic slice that's thin, has a nice crisp, and features sauce and cheese that complement the dough, this is your spot. It's even better when the old guy makes it--he's the one who rolls it the thinnest. A real artist with the dough. One thing to note, though: the price has gone up again recently. A regular pie is now $28. It's a steep price, but if you've never been here and want to try one of the best pizzas in New York, definitely check out Amore.

A must whenever returning to NY. This small shop is constantly packed, service is quick and friendly. Plenty of options other than pizza, but our go to has always been the pepperoni pie. The portion was generous and the crust had the perfect crunch. Must try when you are in the area

I been going here for over 20 years. This places always ensures your pizza craving is met. Asked for extra well to give it the extra crunch. One of my all time favorites spots in NY. Cash only never forget!

We decided to est out tonight, i kind if k ew that there is not a lot of tables at Amore pizza. So i was ready to just do take out and eat at home with the family. We got there at 5:30pm, place was packed on a friday evening, so we end up ordering a large pie to go with sausage. Aside from the pizzeria being busy, hot and no seating. We walked outside and waited for our pie. We waited 20 minutes and the pie was ready, the smell OMG we were starving. When we got home, the pie was still hot and the cheese and the sauce wow really perfectly covering every piece of the pizza dough. I opened a bottle of red and next thing you know the ouzza was gone, bo survivors no leftovers. Gotta do it again, next time, we get 2

Cant stop at just one slice....

Look i am and old school italian of neopolitan background who grew up with the greatest cook around my Grandmother Angela Cioffi. So I have to say I was spoiled to know great food. Having worked in many restaurants I can tell quality . AMORE PIZZA is just that old school italian that is made with love and pride. I spoke to the grandson Salvatore who is of sicilian background and begged him to open one up in the bronx. Worth the trip into flushing queens for one of the best slices in NYC.

This is the OG New York style pizza! If you're looking for that thin crust, perfectly crispy ,super cheesy, amazing cheese to sauce balance, you have to go to Flushing! This little strip mall has some super magic that takes place in it. They named the place perfectly "Amore" which means love and we love it! Service is fantastic and the pizza is always fresh! And they have parking!!

Stopped by to eat some pizza. We ordered a regular cheese pie. Clearly it was good and we were very hungry because I took a photo after we each had a slice. They make fast, hot, thin tasty pizzas here!

Placeis definitely not a stay in one BUT, GREAT PIZZA, toasty and delicious, when is warm you need to devoured it cause it tastes amazing! Is a hidden gem in the middle of the whitestone highway and I recommend grabbing one at any time of the day! Sadly when we were there it was too late to grab a sicilian piece but we did grab a cheese one and a pepperoni one!

I had their regular slice and in my opinion it was one of the best slices I've had. The right amount of sauce and cheese. It tasted great.

Great pizza with affordable prices…read more Food: Vinny's pizza has been in the community for as long as I can remember. Their pizza is the best in Queens that I have had so far. The crust is thin, has a great smokey taste, and has the satisfying crunch. The crust is easily the best part of the pizza. It doesn't feel heavy or greasy either which is awesome. Staff and Service: the staff and service at Vinny's feels very homey and open. Very friendly and more than willing to answer your questions. Did take out, but there are some tables there that you can eat on. (Small plain pie that's about 14 inches is $13) (Medium pie, as shown in picture, about 16 inches came out to $17 total (several toppings) Takeaway notes: affordable pizza with amazing quality.

I also ordered 2 spinach wheels when I picked up my order. My mil(mother-in-law) enjoyed the shells with ricotta and sauce. My husband liked the eggplant parm hero. Unfortunately the cheese and some of the eggplant on the eggplant parm were burnt so most of the cheese and some of the eggplant couldn't be eaten. The garlic knots were alright, not garlicky enough for me but I love garlic so it's never enough garlic for me. lol ^_^

I finally made it out to Tauro tonight for a pie. I wasn't disappointed. I eat a lot of pizza and…read morethis is seriously good stuff. Particularly considering their cooking on a gozney oven stuffed into a food cart. It's actually a gas fired oven so it's more wood oven style. But that matters little for the taste. I went with a pepperoni and asked to add hongos to which the pizzaolo obliged my request. About 5 minutes later I was handed a piping hot pie and charged $14. But it was only after my first bite when I knew what a steal this is. The crust was nicely charred but also a delicate chew. The sauce is fresh, tangy with a great tomato flavor. The cheese must have had done parm sprinkled on because it was way for flavorful than mozz alone. And toppings tasted fresh and were plentiful. Impressive for sure. The block where the cart sits is super quiet with only a laundromat and another street vendor selling some leche de arroz. I'll have to wash my next pue down with sone of that next time. Nowhere to sit so it's more of a Togo or delivery setup. I'll def be ordering from here again in the future. I can't help think how much hype this cart would have in a more active and affluent area. But something about this cart serving pizza amongst a sea of tacos is so perfect. Keep Queens Real!

The price was super reasonable at $12-$15 a pie depending on the toppings and comes with 6 slices. I really enjoyed the fresh toppings and the addition of the fresh basil made a huge difference. With all their pies their tomato sauce is amazing. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=YzPjNisPpVk8ThPDNFhYnw&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA Mexicana- Tomato sauce, mozzarella, spicy sausage, jalapeno, onion and basil. This was really interesting and of course it had some heat. The sausage which I think was chorizo had a good texture and taste. I think they ran out of jalapeno so they used I think serrano chilies instead and even though they sliced it thin, it did have a punch of heat which I enjoyed. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=FTw2BoY3afJLG9KrgS_K3g&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA Margeurita- Tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil and olive oil.
