Pizza was decent. Unfortunately they only take cash. No CC or Apple Pay. They need to update their system. And I went there and this young guy in the counter had no customer service at all. Was focused on TV and his phone. While there was no people I just waited patiently. Once he got to me. He asked me what I wanted in a rude tone. Great crust and sauce. I actually enjoyed the crust more than the sauce and cheese. The pizza has a thin crust with minimal amount of sauce and cheese, with that said an average person can easily down half a pie if not the whole pie. Amore does not make small pies but like I mentioned earlier, it's so light you can literally eat the whole pie in one sitting. I personally like pizza with more sauce and cheese, but the pizza is very good especially the crust, the crust is "Unbelievable!" Spoken in a deep NYC accent. Parking is easy to find since they are located in a strip mall. Cash only business so ditch the cards. Pretty good pizza here. I've been hearing rave reviews from a friend and they proved to be all true. They are located in a strip type mall right off of the expressway. Plenty of parking but it can get busy here. I visited here during the pandemic so I didn't really go into the restaurant. They had a window/entrance set up where you ordered and the a separate to pick your order up. They also deliver as well. The pizza was really good. Better than your average pizzeria. Probably one of my few reviews where I won't post a picture I have, I don't feel like it would do it justice for just how great the pizza from Amore is, I've been craving good pizza in the Queens area for a very long time and one of its other competitors was satisfying that craving but this place erased it. The pizza here is so yummy from the thin crust to the cheese / sauce the quality is extremely high. It doesn't taste generic if that makes sense? This awesome pizzeria is located in an older and humble large shopping center off the Whitestone Expressway. Blink and you'll miss it. I have never seen a pizzeria with such non-stop action. This review is long overdue! One of my favorite pizzerias in Queens. It's definitely in my top 3. The slices are a decent size and the sauce to cheese ratio is perfection. It has such a unique flavor that I'm obsessed with. Me and my family order from here at least a few times a month. The pizza doesn't arrive cold and doesn't taste any different than when you eat it there. I recently stopped by for a quick bite before going to the movies and I was impressed by how fast they move despite the crowd. One of my favorite slices, it's been many years since I've been here since it's out of the way for me, but it's damn good. Service was apathetic bordering on surly, but the plain slices were perfection. This is some of the thinnest crust I've ever had, with an audible crunch when you bite it. The slices are a bit smaller than your usual NY slice, the crust was thin and crispy. The pizza is cheesy and saucy. The crust was really good. A lot of people were picking up a few slices to go. We ate it right outside since I was still waiting for my bowl. It was the best slice of pizza I've had in Queens. The cheese slice is so good, you do not need toppings. ONLY TO WAIT 20 MINUTES TO HAVE MY ORDER TAKEN! The damn young son of a b*tch at the counter scoffed at me too!!! But I HAD to devour these pizzas, so I waited... Another 30 minutes later, my 2 pizzas were finally done. I ordered 1 plain cheese and 1 meat-lovers. THEY GAVE ME A VEGGIE/PEPPERONI! But at least the plain pie was fine, right? NO! It absolutely wasn't cooked at all. THE SAUCE WAS COLD, AND THERE WASN'T ANY RANCH ON THE SIDE. Oh man! I couldn't leave these f*ckers thinking they got me. The spot is located in a plaza with a bunch of other restaurants. Wanted to try it for a long time and I'm happy that I did. Got a regular cheese pie for 3 people. - It was ready within 20 minutes. The pizza itself was pretty solid; the dough was slightly crunchy throughout the whole pie, which I enjoyed. There was a good ratio of cheese sauce and the crust was not too hard or too crispy. The pizza was also not too oily, which I appreciated. The one thing that was slightly disappointing was that this place does not have garlic knots. In terms of the service, the workers were pretty friendly and give extra plates when asked. They do have condiments outside and right next to the service area for public use. In terms of the pandemic precautions, there is a window to place orders and pick up food. They also have a plastic barrier draped from this window for extra protection. Flavor: very thin but not soggy and mushy. The dough is crisp. The sauce is slightly sweet but not too overpowering and the cheese is a light layer, not globs and blends in perfectly. No oregano so it's not overpowered by spice. Delicious. Honestly One of the best slices I have even had. Their classic slice had just the right amount of flop to fold NY style, the sauce was nice and tangy, the cheese was melted wonderfully, and the crust had a great crunch. A slice is $3.25, and a whole pie is $20. This spot is worthy of a stop on a Flushing pizza tour. read more
