The brunch menu

I have been wanting to try this place and today was the day! I was very excited to try the mazapan latte, which was very good. For food, my boyfriend and I both got chilaquiles with barbacoa! It was the perfect portion size and great flavor. We were both happy with our meals! The space itself is more spacious than you'd expect and they do move people in pretty quickly. We waited a bit for a table, but nothing major. Service was friendly and efficient enough. It was a cute spot and we will definitely come back!

Amor a mi... what a lovely place in the middle of Burbank! Lovelovelovelovelove! I've been at Amor A Mi a few times for lunch and being gluten free I was afraid they couldn't accommodate but my plate came out not only looking beautiful but gluten free with a black corn tortilla that was delicious! I am so appreciative. I do wish they had gf bread and maybe yellow polenta but I'm thrilled to be able to eat here. Every sauce has its own unique flavor, and every item feels like it's been prepared carefully and thoughtfully. I feel like this chef had watched a The Bear a few times. :)

Came for brunch since a friend suggested it and it was good. Ordered the breakfast sandwich & the bacon look really undercooked, otherwise it was good. Ordered the cold brew with Pablo santo syrup (?) definitely an interesting place to try if you're in the area.

Ambience- perfect! It's so lovely here. It's such a warm and inviting space if you want to bring a friend or friends while yet still being peaceful enough to come by yourself and enjoy a quiet rose latte! I've had their rose latte a bunch. It's very good. I highly recommend it. I also had the tortitas de papa. I've never had this dish before but like the description and it was delicious. I'd get it again. Service was friendly and familial but in a familial-professional way. This is a gem of a find and I look forward to spending more of my money here.

Remarkable ambiance that adds to the dining experience. Perfect for date night, initiate dining, and family style eating. Amor A Mi is almost a hole in the wall for its delicious chilaquiles and Mexican brunch. I loved their matcha and coffee varieties, I'll have to come back to try the rest of their drink menu. I got the French toast and the brioche was exquisite! The strawberries and mascarpone were perfect touches to the meal. The staff were kind and just lovely. Highly recommend !

This beautiful restaurant is a gem! The decor is fabulous. There is so much attention to detail. Great for any occasion, but I came for breakfast. The staff was accommodating and very helpful. We had the chicken Chilaquiles and the steak and barbacoa tacos. Both were fabulous! I can't wait to come back and try different dishes. The parking is street parking.

What a cozy and delicious meal! Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Everything was top tier from the latte to the french toast to the chilaquiles! Highly recommend both but if you're feeling something sweet go for the french toast and if you want savory go for the chilaquiles. The were perfectly crispy! Would absolutely recommend this place for a date, for a brunch with the girlies, you name it! There is a bar, some tables inside and two tables outside. Pro tip: this place gets hella busy but they do reservations - yay! So make sure to get one for the weekend! Parking was easy as I parked in one of the neighborhood streets nearby. It was two hour parking.

Not worth the 30 min wait to get our food. Decent breakfast sandwich & okay French toast. My family really liked their rib eye and barbacoa tacos but I would not come back again; their menu is super limited & service takes too long even when they're not busy. Overhyped in my opinion.

This was a great experience for comfort mexican food with modern twist! Service was excellent, kind friendly staff, and beautiful modern yet comfortable warm ambiance. Tacos: Huitlacoche - the kernels were good but mixed in with sweet corn was too sweet. I tasted more sweet corn than mushroom or huitlacoche, beans were good! Not spicy, could use a spicy salsa Chicharrón - excellent Shrimp - fresh, but too much cream sauce! The taco fell apart, more fresh condiments like cilantro and onions would have been nice vs so much sauce Barbacoa - it was good, but needed lemon, cilantro and onions! Birria especially goat or lamb is best served with fresh squeezed lemon and fresh condiments on the side for the palette's desire. Salsas and chips - fresh chips! Green salsa was good, red salsa had a flavor we couldn't pinpoint, canned chipotle maybe? Not our favorite. Tlayuda - not traditional, but the crunchy cheese layer was fun! We enjoyed it and would order one more for the table next time. Excellent and fresh Homemade Flour tortilla - yum! Homemade Corn Tortilla - a little dry, not too flavorful. Hopes for the future: I wish there could be a green salad, fish option, or other unique veggie sides like nopales, verdolagas, or mushrooms en chile that Mexican cuisine has to offer! Either way looking forward to trying lunch menu

I want to start this review off by saying that the food tasted great. No issues there. The inside was also very nice. I loved the vibe. However, there were a few things that outshined the taste of the food. To start, our food was COLD. We had already waited about 20ish minutes. Honestly can't recall but enough time had passed by and we were just hungry. We drove in for business from the IE and had other things to do so we couldn't wait to have it be remade. But from the tortilla, the meat, and the beans it was cold. The only thing hot was the egg on top and so that makes me wonder how fresh everything was. Oh and the description of the plate says it comes with beans but tbh it's just a smear under everything. We ate what we could until the entire plate was too cold to enjoy. The agua de Jamaica was intense. I had to add water to balance out how strong it was. But once I added more water it was nice. What's funny about my Jamaica is that when I was served it our server literally said "here" and handed it to me. Which was funny to us because that's never happened to us anywhere. Usually you get a kinder approach like "here is that Jamaica" not just "here". And with that, the service was mediocre. It wasn't genuine or authentic. Which is kind of sad given the prices of the food and how upscale it is. You kind of expect a more authentic and overall amicable experience. But it wasn't. I felt like a person there to give them my money which is true but I never felt like a welcomed customer. A one time of visit for us for sure.

What an excellent experience we had and I cant wait to go back. Love the vibe of the restaurant with the decor and enjoyed sitting at the bar. The staff was very friendly and quick to help us with what we needed and the food was delicious. I would suggest to get sauce on the side if you dont like your food spicy. Thei cappucino and Cortado was also delicious.

Once again I saw this restaurant on my socials and I definitely had to stop in and try it for myself. I was not disappointed whatsoever. I was greeted with smile and a warm welcome. Very refreshing these days. The restaurant is very clean from the dining room to the restrooms.. The staff was so kind ,accommodating and very attentive. The variety of food is nice. The service was quick. The food was served at the right temperature. Everything ordered tasted fresh and delicious. I had a great experience overall. The pricing and the portions are reasonable. I will definitely come back again.

I was in Burbank and wanted some breakfast that wasn't right next to the mall, this was the perfect spot! It was pretty busy so without a reservation we waited about 25 mins for a table of 2. I got the breakfast sandwich without chimichurri and it was absolutely delicious! It had thick cut bacon and lots of avocado. I also got a Mexican coke and it was just the perfect meal. There's a good amount of seating inside but the place isn't huge, very cute and cozy. There's also two tables out on their patio for dining as well, making it dog friendly!

Ever since then, she been hooked and believes this place has the best chilaquiles. I had to try different things here since we come here a lot. So I got their breakfast burrito, burger, wings, breakfast entree and just recently got the classic burrito. I came over the weekend with my friends since one of them never been here. I arrived early but the parking lot was already filed up so I parked across the street and just walked here. I was lucky to come before the breakfast rush so I got a table inside. My friends for the chilaquiles and also the cafe de olla. I got the classic burrito with asada and asked for no beans. The burrito with the green salsa they give was delicious. My friends also like their dish as well Customer service here is always top tier and the price is very reasonable. They have indoor seating, seating in a little tent area and also seating on the sidewalk for their guest. I also got chilaquiles and a iced cafe de olla to go for my wife.

We were…read morecraving breakfast on a rainy day and finally decided it was time to see what all the hype was about -- and now we completely understand why it's always so busy! We waited about 45 minutes for a table, which honestly wasn't a problem at all. They're located in a plaza with parking, and there's also plenty of street parking nearby. First, let's talk about the Café de Olla. We ordered two, and WOW. It's their signature coffee, brewed with cinnamon, raw Mexican brown sugar, and spices. We normally drink our coffee black, but this was easily one of the best coffees I've ever had. Seriously, do not skip the coffee here! For breakfast, we ordered two dishes and shared everything. We had the Breakfast Skillet, loaded with country potatoes, eggs, bell peppers, mozzarella, fresh avocado, and ranchero sauce. We also ordered the Chilaquiles à la Bandera -- crispy tortilla chips with half tossed in their green salsa and the other half in red salsa, topped with mozzarella, Mexican cream, Cotija cheese, and eggs. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. And because we needed something sweet, we added the Crunchy French Toast Sticks, drizzled with caramel and Lechera. SO GOOD and the perfect sweet addition to our breakfast. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! The service deserves its own mention. Our server, Liliana, was an absolute doll! She was so sweet, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She helped us decide what to order based on her own favorites and recommendations, and everything she suggested was spot on. Our Café de Olla came out within probably a minute of ordering, and once we placed our food order, I don't think we waited more than five minutes. Considering how packed the restaurant was, we were seriously impressed. Liliana definitely made our first visit even better! Everything was perfect -- the food, the coffee, and especially the service. Definitely recommend Mex Cocina Cafe for breakfast or brunch. We will 100% be back. In fact, we already can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

We came by on a Friday night before a show at the Grammy Museum. We parked in a private lot a couple of blocks away on Georgia that charged $21.65. I made a reservation since we were coming on a Friday night. I was surprised that there were many open tables when we arrived. We were greeted right away and seated at one of Edwin's tables. He was absolutely great! Very friendly and personable, with a great sense of humor. We'd been interested in a couple of items on the happy hour menu. Unlike the Santa Monica location, the happy hour items are only available in the bar and patio, not the main restaurant. Edwin did check to see if we could order the flautas and we were able to, however it was a couple of dollars more expensive than if we'd been sitting in the other room. That would be my only disappointment with this locaion. We were served delicious, fresh chips with bean dip and salsa right away. The flautas were really good, and the drinks were great. Overall, the pre-show evening at Sol Agave was enjoyable. We will ask for Edwin again when we come back in the future.

End of the day, a $68 bill pre-tip for a less than genrous plate of ($16??) guac and 4 very small tacos with no rice or beans included and one draft Modelo is just unacceptable. The tacos were adequate, but unspectacular. 'Filet mignon' tacos were a single unchopped hunk of meat well flavored but so bare and small for 2x $22. The guac was too refrigerated, with not fully ripened avocado that resulted in an overly sweet taste and slightly firm texture that was unpleasant. Chips were also just not very good, and also not as far as I could tell complimentary. Service gets high marks for speed and efficiency, but felt super impersonal. Example, a server asked us how everything was while we were clearly just sitting there, not having tasted any of it waiting for some limes to arrive at the table. Just asked the question without surveying at all, and it was very performative and not genuine. Which is fine. I'm not at all mad at the servers, tough job but worth noting when noting the tip % options on the POS. End of the day I don't know if I'll be back or not. Everybody has an off day. But just about every aspect was less than stellar(draft beer was excellent) especially compared to three previous excellent visits. It's getting harder to justify going out for dinner, and at these prices, I would hope they could do a little better.

Now I have a location around the corner so I came to check it out. Arrived on a Saturday around 230 p.m. so snagging a table was no issue. Opted for "outside" seating as the AC inside was too cold. This location is just as aesthetically pleasing as the Newport location (but no sunset views). Now for the food...I'm a creature of habit and always order my same items but this time I went for something new - the tablita. You can't go wrong with this option as it has all of your Mexican faves. We opted for the carne asada and the carnitas, which were cooked to perfection and flavorful. The tablita comes with refried beans, Mexican rice, queso freso, tortillas (flour or corn), salsa and pickled jalapeños. This is more than enough food for two people and you will definitely have leftovers. If you're craving a meat dish, I think this choice will satisfy your cravings. Service was great, the waiter kept checking in on us so no complaints there. Parking is very easy as there are parking structures in and around the area. You can also try to snag a meter on the street but parking in a structure is more convenient than driving around looking for parking. I'll definitely be returning when it is more convenient to come to this location than to make the long trek out to Newport. Note that the Newport location will not take ressies unless there are more than two in your party so you may want to see if this is Pasadena's policy as well if it's just two of your dining.
