Mel was the best waitress ever. My parents loved the queso flameado it was such a great recommendation l. The corn is authentic and delicious. The customer service was beyond expectational. First time here and was a little disappointed in the food dept. Decor was really nice, waiter was great, manager came around to give out bread which was nice. but the food just wasn't there, maybe cause they just opened? Margherita drink was good, My Carna asada tacos were lacking serious flavor in the meat, bland, nothing carna asada about these tacos...the tortilla was too chewy, the rice was tasteless and dry, I didn't finish my meal, my kids didn't like the food either and one of them loves tacos, but kids beef tacos, kids cheese quesadilla, really bland lacking any flavor they took few bites and thats it. They ate the fries and the table chips thats it. Matter of fact both my kids and I agreed that the best meal today was the chips and dip. So sad. Maybe management should try and eat the carna asada tacos and see what I mean. Maybe this place will get better I don't know. I may return in future but first impression didn't go well. read more

I've come to this locations multiple times and this time I brought my parents who are visiting. The server went above and beyond to make their experience perfect! The margaritas are great, there's A LOT of gf options (which I appreciate) and the food is wonderful. Hello! My husband and I went here last Saturday for dinner. To my surprise I'm very disappointed to say that we didn't like the food that we ordered. My husband had the d tacos pescado $20 that was actually recommended by our waitress. He only ate 1 taco out of 3. He said the more he ate the more he felt like throwing up.The fish had raspberry sauce on top of it that made it taste . I had the risoito mexicano $22 for a small serving that I only ate half because it wasn't to my liking as well. They gave us complimentary street corns since it was our first time and we ordered 2 margaritas for $27 which to us were just ok. Paid $84 total plus the tip. Our server was really welcoming but that would be the first and last time for us there. I don't really give reviews but man, I'm so disappointed and annoyed that we spent so much money just to have this kind of experience. This place was so good! The enchiladas verdes were delicious with a little kick! The enchiladas rojas were good if you like the carne asada filing. I wasn't a big fan of the carne asada relleno in the enchiladas rojas but the sauce on the enchiladas was really good. The sope trio was also very yummy. read more

Wow. We may have just found the all-around best Mexican food in all of Houston. I go all around Houston to see who has the best mole and ceviche. Better mole here than even Sylvia's Enchilada Kitchen, which I never thought was possible. Tied for best ceviche with Churrasco's. Best house margaritas. Fantastic seafood empanadas. Tried this spot with my best friend this past Friday. Authentic Mexican food! Not that mess they have at Pappasito's . You don't have to worry about drinking to much because your lucky if you get your drinks before you get the check. After an hour wait to be seated we ordered our drinks which took forever & a minute. If you want a second basket of chips & salsa you'll be waiting a long time. The food was not very good at all, maybe it might have been better if it was somewhat warm when it was served. The plate the food came on was very hot but the food on the plate was cold. Way way over priced especially for the portions you receive.
