Had Mother's Day brunch at Ambriza in La Centerra and it was amazing. Drinks and food were delicious.

Top notch service and tasty food. Service and atmosphere: The service was outstanding! All staff members were very polite, helpful, and attentive. We felt very welcomed and well cared. The restaurant is located in the quiet Cinco Ranch shopping area. They offer many seating options inside and outside. The restaurant was clean and organised. Food and drinks: Very good selection in both food and drink menus. You can find here many traditional dishes. Everything is made fresh with locally sourced ingredients. The foods we ordered were very tasty, well seasoned with meats being tender, juicy and not overcooked. I would recommend to try their freshly baked pan dulce. They were delicious with coffee. Pricing: $$ - prices were standard compared to other places. Worth it!

I had a wonderful experience here with my two friends the other night here. Our waiter was so funny, everybody in the restaurant looked like they were having a good time, and the food was pretty good now that I know what to order. Chips and Salsa - 9.5/10 Margaritas - 10/10. If you get it on the rocks they give you the rest of the drink which is nice. The hibiscus one is the best. Street Corn - 4/10. Would not get again. Cevice - 3/10. Would not get again. Barbacoa Tacos - 9/10 Carne Asada Tacos - 8/10 Beef Fajita - 8.5/10

We came here for a quick dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was solid, and everyone on the staff was incredibly friendly and warm. The margs were the star of the show. Each one we got was amazing, but my personal favorite was the passion fruit habanero one! They were all solid though, I don't think you can go wrong! The food was good as well. Nothing that blew my socks off, but was good enough to say I'd be back!

We had such an amazing food experience at Ambriza. We got lucky and didn't have to wait too long especially on a Saturday evening. The servers were so knowledgeable and proud of the Mexican heritage they're wanting to represent. As first timers, we were welcomed with the most delicious, warm and soft conchas I have ever tried. For dinner, we got the fajita, and beef quesadilla. The meat was very juicy and tender. The flavors were excellent. The complimentary salsa and chips were also fantastic. We were so stuffed. We were dining in celebration of my dad's birthday and the team came out with a churro cart and made my dad feel so special. We had a great time, enjoyed great food and can't wait to come back.

Place is super cute and bright, clean. Greeted when we walked in. I was invited over after a friend said they were going for happy hour so I figured why not try it. Started off with water, chips and salsa and then ordered a margarita. Eventually ordered Baja fish tacos, they were delicious and well worth the $7 (2 are given in this order, no sides). Mango chamoy margarita I got frozen with tajin rim and loved it, first time trying a mango margarita. Only negatives were it took forever to put in a food order. It was a guy going around serving water that we told we were ready to order since the guy at the bar hadn't checked on us in awhile, so he had to get someone's attention to do that for us. And then our original bartender clocked out so it was a while before another person checked on us. Also it wasn't until the end that we noticed they had purse holders to the right of the doors. 3 girls walk in with purses and you'd think they offer one since there's no hooks at the bar. I'd come back, but I wonder if I'd get better service just sitting at a table instead.

Love love love it here! It's very authentic and cultural. Love the restaurant decor and vibe. Had a great server that gave great options for brunch. Had the tres leches pancakes and was not disappointed. Also had the cucumber popular drink, which they won an award for. It was very refreshing! Great visit.

The food at Ambriza was absolutely delicious! We ended our meal with the mini churros for dessert, which came with three different dipping sauces--one was definitely chocolate, and the others I can't quite remember, but they were all so good. Highly recommend trying them! The atmosphere was lively and inviting. I've heard the rooftop turns into more of a club vibe at night with music, though I haven't experienced that myself. Either way, the place gives off great energy with a fun, upbeat environment and tasty food to match. Definitely worth a visit!

Great vibes I love to come for happy hours they have huge drink selection and happy hour food enough to get you full. I also like live bands or dj with salsa on the roof top on weekend nights! Hard to find lively action in katy this is a must do! The only reason I don't give them. 5 stars is because sometimes the service can be a little off. It may take them a while but I do eventually get what I ordered when I am patient.

Came here with some coworkers so we could try something new! This place did not disappoint. The restaurant is nice and has a really welcoming vibe. Service was impeccable, they waited on us like we were royalty! I just didn't catch their names, but everyone was so nice! Food was great! I had the pork belly tacos and they gave us these corns! Everything was so good! I will definitely be coming back to try more food.

PARTY ON THE ROOFTOP!!! SO FUN!! Best music in town!! Grupo Kache y Rudy son Lo Maximo!! Service is excellent. Order the Mexican corn!

Chicken/shrimp fajitas

An exceptional fine dining experience every time! We've visited twice now, and both occasions have exceeded our expectations. The food and service were impeccable each time. The fajitas are a standout, with perfectly grilled, flavorful meat that was cooked to perfection. The street corn was also a delightful treat. I was impressed by their variety of vegetarian options, which cater to all tastes. My husband raved about the enchiladas, and their cocktails were top-notch--especially the Cucumber Serrano Margarita, which was absolutely amazing. On our second visit, we tried their coffee, and it didn't disappoint--it was fresh and just as impressive as the rest of the meal. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a beautiful outdoor view. If the weather's right, the outdoor seating is the perfect spot to enjoy great food, soak in the weather, and do a little people-watching. This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good dining experience.

The restaurant is perfectly situated right in front of the central green space so my niece could play within view while we relaxed and enjoyed our meals, a total win-win! Now, about the food... Everything we ordered was absolutely DELICIOUS and packed with flavor. It's hard to pick just one dish to recommend, but if I had to, I'd say the cauliflower bites were my fav and are a definite must try. Perfectly seasoned with a little spicy kick. The beignets were another standout...light, crispy, and not overly sweet; plus it came with a little dipping sauce. I had the kale and mushroom pasta dish which was heaven for this pasta-loving girl. It was fresh and full of bold flavors. You could taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite (and the added shrimp were HUGE). Don't forget to grab a matcha latte. I had the lavender flavor and it was the perfect balance of sweetness. Highly recommend as well.

I had been watching this one being built for a while and was especially curious to try it since this location has a full bar, which adds a really fun twist to the traditional coffee shop concept. I stopped in for lunch and decided to sit out on the patio which ended up being the perfect choice. The atmosphere was relaxed, bright, and inviting with a nice open feel that makes it easy to slow down and actually enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in and everything moved quickly and smoothly. I ordered the guava mimosa and it was SO good. Light, refreshing, and honestly the perfect daytime drink. For food I had the chicken avocado wrap and substituted the chips for truffle fries and both were SOOOOO good. The wrap was fresh, warm, and packed with flavor and the truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade. We arrived and sat outside due to having a dog, beating the small waitlist they had of people wanting to eat inside. Feels like it gets busy there so be prepared to wait (they don't take reservations). The interior and outside areas are clean and simple, ordering was also fast too. Our server was attentive and quick, although she did make a remark asking if one of our party was sure they wanted to order as much as they did. Ignoring that, ordering was smooth. We got their pancakes, French toast, a side order of bacon, side order of sausage, and ranch omelette with biscuits and grits. Everything was good but the standouts were the pancakes and omelette that were very filling and hit the spot. Not many brunch places can be consistently good across all dishes but Toasted Yolk certainly was. It's convenient, relatively cheap, and good food. As someone who has worked as a server before, I would never speak to customers that way. It felt unnecessary and rude. To make things worse, when our food arrived, I noticed what looked like a small metal piece (possibly a wire or bristle) on the plate next to the bacon. That's a serious food safety concern and very alarming. When the server came back, she didn't apologize or acknowledge the issue at all, which made the experience even more disappointing. Overall, between the poor service and the issue with the food, I was very disappointed. After this experience, this restaurant is now on my blacklist. I won't be returning.

But wait, there's more....... The exterior could definitely use some work. Host stand plopped outside. Inside felt a little crowded. Wine cellar-ish. Mother's Day, a bit chaotic for all restaurants. Took 10-15 minutes to be greeted after being sat. No big deal, I get it. Santiago was great. We did the mystery mimosa experience which was fun! We go to order our food and BOOM!! This is where they get you. It was all a lie. A very deceiving menu written in a way where you think you're going to get oxtails and jollof rice plus appetizer and dessert for $55 per person. Because that's a great price, not really a deal, just a great price. WRONG. Santiago had to clarify that it was $55 EXTRA ON TOP OF $42 PER PERSON. SO $97 PER PERSON FOR OXTAILS AND JOLLOF RICE, AN APP & DESSERT. RIDICULOUS! TOTALLY DISHONEST AND DECEIVING. Write it as $55 additional per person, so everyone knows what they're getting into before they reserve their table. Because Santiago admitted everyone he served that day was shocked at the additional cost. Not wanting to ruin my wife's FIRST Mother's Day, I brushed it off and still continued with the order. Appetizer: tequeño & empanada. Bland, came out cold and after our entrees came out. Entrees: Oxtail & Jollof rice. I loved it. Flavor was great. Just wish there was a lot more. For $97, you expect to have 6-8 large oxtails and a side of rice. What i got was 4 very tiny oxtails and a full plate of rice!! Peri peri chicken & jollof rice- flavor was nice and smoky. But again, for $97, you expect more than 2 avg size leg quarters and a full plate of rice. Dessert: They were out of key lime pie by noon. I saw the cheesecake, it was a thin plain slice, so we opted for their seis leches cake. It was not good. It was not soaked enough, very dry. The reason the score wasn't lower was because service was great, the entrees tasted great and they gave each mother a single rose and Mother's Day card which had a pin in it that said best mom ever. Which made my wife's day even that much better. Thank you Chef Casey. But I don't think I would visit again solely based on the deceiving menu and small portions that are not worth the additional cost.

I was ecstatic to see that there were so many vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Also, most of the dishes can be requested to be made gluten-free. Big plus. You don't order at your table, instead you go to the counter in the back and make sure to bring the sheet with your table number on it. The gal at the counter who took our order wasn't as friendly as the hostess but she was polite enough to inform us about the 15% charge. The food came out very quickly. Hopefully it's because they had a ton of people working in the back. Hopefully. I ordered the Magic Mushroom Tacos and thought it was a beautiful plate. My favorite thing about the dish is the tortillas. It had a nice light crisp to it and kept all the fillings intact from start to finish. The "Magic Mushrooms" were good but could have been better if the batter were lighter and crispier. The batter was a little on the heavy and dense side for me. I also think the sauce could be even better if it had a bit less oil and a bit more flavor. I really enjoyed the potato slices and the fresh berries were a great way to cleanse the palate. My lunch date ordered the Biscuit and gravy dish and thought it was good. We also ordered a side of the Belgian waffle to share. I thought the waffle on its own was extremely sweet and way too dense for my liking.
