The service was $5 and perhaps she didn't feel like it was worth her time to do a soak off, which is unfortunate. I do my own pedicure but have a hard time getting the gel polish off, and I asked for a soak because over time the drill damages nails. The facility itself was clean. Sometimes they massage me sometimes they don't. Sometimes they put lotion on sometimes they don't. What i really want to share is the bad experience I've had with my manicure. It's the worst. Day of my nail appointment, she texts me back saying she is going to be 10 mins late. I arrived at 11:35, same time as scheduled and waited in my car an extra 10 mins before heading in and waiting another 25-30 mins. After I sat in her chair she told me that short French tip nails would be $75 because it is considered "extreme art". I would understand this if it was acrylic cut out french tip, but not for regular hand painted. I told her this is not what her website says and that I was not comfortable paying for that especially after I was disregarded on Instagram and text and then she made me wait over half an hour for my appointment on top of that. I was really looking forward to getting my nails done by her as I thought her nail art and style is really cute. She blocked me on Instagram after I left the salon which I think was very immature. I know many nail techs that would've offered a discount for just the fact of being late alone. I was disappointed by the lack of communication and the fact that I waited over 30 minutes for a scheduled appointment. Hopefully she will do better in the future with her communication and time management.

I visited this salon yesterday based on the strong reviews, and while the experience started off well, it quickly became disappointing. Initially, the technician seemed attentive and followed my requests. I asked for a smaller nail shape near the nail bed, but after a few attempts, he told me my nail beds were "larger than normal" and that it wasn't possible. I've been getting my nails done consistently for over 10 years, so I know that's not true. I eventually stopped asking, but it was clear I wasn't happy--he noticed and kept asking what was wrong. I tried to brush it off, saying "it's okay," but he insisted I explain. When I mentioned I didn't like how the acrylic looked around the cuticle area, he dismissed it by saying he'd apply oil at the end. I clarified that the issue wasn't dryness--it was the actual appearance of the acrylic. His tone became condescending, asking "Well, what do you want me to do?" I responded that I'm not a nail tech, and it's his job to know how to fix it. He replied, "If you don't know, who does?" At that point, I told him there was no need to be rude. I asked him to just paint the nails so I could leave, as I was feeling really uncomfortable. Now, less than 24 hours later, one of my nails already has chipped polish. I don't agree with the glowing reviews. Maybe this place works for occasional visits, but for someone who gets their nails done regularly, I won't be returning. read more

Amanda's Nail & Spa is the best place in Eugene! I have been living in Eugene for about four years and have been on the search for a good nail salon ever since. I can say I finally found one that I am satisfied with. The salon is clean and spacious. David, the owner, treats each customer with such care. He takes his time to do a good job and is very friendly. He goes out of his way to ensure you are comfortable and enjoying your time. David listens to what you actually want done to your nails-and does it! He also has the ability to do very fun& sexy, fashionista type designs if you are feeling like being a glam girl. If you like your nails natural, David is also very good at helping you grow and maintain them. David's prices are fairly cheap compared to other nail salons I have been to and does a pretty good job. The only disclaimer I have is you cannot just walk in and expect to get seen because he is the only person working. You must make an appointment, or at least call ahead to inquire if there is time for you to come in the same-day. read more

This was my first visit here, the salon was nice and right in the heart of downtown Eugene. I made an appointment last minute on a Saturday and not only did they accommodate me, they made me feel welcome, like they wanted me there. I've been to too many salons where they try and rush your nails so they can have more customers and they do a crappy job. Or they act annoyed that you are there. Amanda's wasn't like that at all and that means a lot to me if I'm going to keep going back. Employees were very friendly, prices were fair, and they gave me exactly what I asked for. I've been going to Amanda's Nails for over six months because David does a really good job, my nails always look great for longer than usual, and he is usually pretty quick too. He has more gel nail color options than I have ever seen! You could get a new color for years and never get the same one. I recommend him to anyone who compliments my nails, and I wouldn't go anywhere else now! He just got this chrome polish that looks really cool.. he keeps up with what people want which is nice. David is the best technician I have ever been to. I have never come across a technician/artist that pays so much attention to detail and I can trust completely in terms of creativity. The name of the salon is "Amanda's Nails" but it should be called, "David's Nails". David is a true artist and an incredibly genuine person. After I leave his shop, I always feel so relaxed and uplifted! Not only does he do beautiful work but he makes you feel beautiful inside and out. We were on r way home from vaca in Crater Lake. Stopped in Eugene for lunch. I hv neuropathy in my feet and they were in need of a pedicure. Looked on google/yelp and found Amandas had 5 stars. This place is well worth the 5 stars. Ricky did a WONDERFUL job and even hand painted flowers on my big toes!!! They look great!! Wish we lived closer, so I could continue to go regularly!!! Amanda's has been my go-to salon for my whole 4 years i've been at college in Eugene and they have never failed. Ricky is so sweet, engaged, positive, and hardworking... it shows through his service and work! Every time I show them a picture their response is ok! but we will do better! and they deliver every time. Also, they can do a full set of acrylics in under 40 minutes. Covid friendly too. read more

Been going to Amanda's since I moved here in 2017. The people are amazing and very friendly. They really take their time with your nails to give you what you want and they make sure to ask throughout the process if the color, shape, etc is desired! Very great place. FIRST IMPRESSION WHEN I WALKED IN WAS HOW CLEAN THE PLACE WAS. Someone else was getting her manicure so I checked in about a shellac French manicure. Cici came out and I was offered water and a very friendly conversation while my nails were trimmed and filed before being painted. I was actually so pleased with the natural shiny pink that was supposed to be the base for the French manicure that I actually decided just to go with two coats of the pink base, which they told me was called "marshmallow." They also showed me a couple of other styles of nail color that I test out in the future. I wasn't there very long; the skill level was very high. They have a nice bar area if you want to hang out with the girlfriends before it's your turn. I think Queenie was the name of the other staff person. The two of them were very hospitable and I look forward to returning in a couple of weeks. The manicure was just $35 with the shellac removal being an extra five dollars. If I've gone with my French manicure it would've been a total of $45. So prices were actually very reasonable. Skill level very high. Highly recommend!
