I live in the area and had been to Encanterra a few times to visit the Palma kitchen and tap restaurant which now is not open to the public any longer except for special events and offerings. I did not know they had a spa until my mother-in-law informed me. I was looking to treat myself to a manicure and pedicure and I wanted more of a spa experience than just your average nail salon. I also didn't feel like traveling too far. I was able to make an appointment easily over the phone and by putting down my credit card and securing my appointment. The girls operating the phone system are so sweet and helpful. They were very patient with me as I asked many questions about the facilities. They were also very great at contacting me letting me know exactly where to go when I pulled in, and I already felt like I was having the spa experience without even being there because they were offering me such great customer service. They did explain to me that the spa facility is currently under construction and the sauna/steam room as well as all of the showers are not in operation. I was a little bummed about that because I really wanted to enjoy additional spa amenities. What I did like is, as someone who is getting their nails and toes done you're still able to use the amenities, if they were available. Some spas do not allow for you to use the amenities when you're only getting a manicure and pedicure so I did respect that. They do have a small, quiet relaxation room with spa water. You can order from the Palma kitchen, which I did because I was starving by the time my manicure and pedicure was over and I ordered a steak bowl with a fried egg which my nail technician, Shelby recommended. It was absolutely delicious and I would order it again in a heartbeat. I didn't ask about the pricing, but it was about $30 so maybe I wouldn't order it again! There was a girl named Kellie, who worked at the spa who is so sweet. She came up to me, took my order, and also brought it to me at the pool. I told her I would be at the pool after. Unfortunately, it was a cooler day so it wasn't that enjoyable and it's only a lap pool. They have a beautiful pool behind that but I don't think spa members can use that. Overall, my manicure and pedicure were amazing. The salon is very clean. Shelby was great. What I loved, is the nail polish she used which is called dazzle dry. She told me she uses two coats for base, two-three coats for color, and two coats for the finish, and it will last a long time. As someone who doesn't often get their nails done and never gets gel, dip, or anything special, this lasted me almost 3 weeks, and I'm a mother who always has her hands in water, so that was really amazing. That manicure and pedicure, although pricier than your average nail salon visit, was almost worth it for how long it stayed on. The nail polish also made my nails feel very strong. She did a great job and an under two hours. I was in and out. It was relaxing and enjoyable, also very necessary. I will definitely be returning. Nail tech did not know how to remove dip powder from nails. Totally destroyed nails. They are now paper thin and splitting. Now have to repair and rebuild nails. Wish she had said in advance did not have experience in this I would have totally understood. As a member of community will not ever use the spa services again. read more

I have never been treated so poorly in my life. We sat at the table for 20 Minutes before acknowledged. Finally got to order happy hour drinks. Had to almost BEG to get service. My food was horrible. My steak was well when I asked for medium. Other people in the party got meatloaf and that was excellent. A delicious warm butter cake was provided by the chef to compensate for my food. I asked for water and finally got a glass, but no one else at the table did. I had to ask three times for wine and water and everything was very slow. The last time I asked for water, the waitress went to the back bar and was flipping out because the table asked for something after they closed. We were with people who have visited this club almost weekly for months. I will never come back!!!! Certainly not worth the drive, even with the view! The ladies were friendly, but the actual manicure and pedicure did not meet expectations. As shown in the photo, the polish is all over - a real eye sore. For a $75 mani/pedi (not including tip), I'd have rather gone to a strip mall nail salon with real massage chairs (not vibrating seats), and technicians with more experience. Also, my husband had set up the services for my birthday and I learned after that there was supposed to have been some specialty drink waiting too. He was really disappointed that he had picked a place that should have provided above and beyond service, but really it looks like I did my nails in our bathroom at home. This will be one of my first two star review ever. I believe that good customer service is hard to find these days and it truly saddens me. I had called in the afternoon to purchase a gift for card for my mothers birthday. The woman who I had spoke to, Mariah was not friendly nor helpful at all. I stated that I wanted to purchase a gift card and she said "ok, credit card number" I was confused because normally they ask what type of service you would like and what not. Then I said I would like to list the services first, then provide a mailing address for the recipient and so on. She said "mhmm", I then said your not being friendly nor helpful. She said, "that she wasn't trying to be these things" but she also wasn't attempting to be friendly or helpful. Needless to say, they don't mail gift cards and Mariah needs to be trained on being more helpful and friendly to potential customers. I will be taking my business somewhere else. read more

As part of my daughter's Christmas gift I purchased a massage package on Groupon and we had a fantastic time. The staff on Sunday were wonderful everyone we spoke to was warm, friendly and very helpful. The spa is extremely clean and with beautiful relaxing decor. The bathrooms locker rooms are of ample size. The sauna was relaxing. They provide everything you need if you shower, there are plenty of large towels and you are given a fluffy robe and spa shoes. The relaxation room is very comfortable with lounge chairs, they provide hot tea, water and mixed nuts. I had my massage by Linda who was amazing. All of my aches and pains slipped away for several days. She preformed several different techniques that she incorporated into my massage and I would say it was probably the very best massage I've ever received. My daughter who is picky about who does her massages had Ashley and loved her massage also. After the massages we were given our complimentary sangria which which we totally enjoyed. The manager Rosalias attitude,is,cold And really uncaring and the food quality and service,is,at the level,of,less Than a fast food restaurant! we were eating dinner last night and at least the three outside table around me and a member named Judy even said how the Restaurant service and food quality was below standard. she returned her burned pizza and we really had minimal,to no service, like serving sharing Bowls,without a spoon to,serve the food, just thrown in front of us, to,having To ask for water and wait 20 minutes for a drink order. We ordered blackened Grouper which was burned and tasteless. There is definitely. Problem here When 3/3 tables are complaining and these are the only tables being served. way too many apologies from the wait staff also.....completely unacceptable And VERY DISAPPOINTING .... The first time I have been here was February. We went down to go to a festival but we were a day too late so we wanted to check this place out. The whole club is very beautiful. The Restaurant has the freshest and tastiest food and everyone with me agreed. The place is very clean and pretty in the inside as well. The Golf Course is very pretty and green. The place is a total photography spot, why need a studio when you can go to Encanterra for the amazing views! Your pictures will be well worth it every area you go is like pretty in it's won way. They have a pool and music outside with a man singing and people relaxing. I went here on Mother's Day and they have a good buffet but could of had a little better dessert section. I have only been here twice and are already waiting to come back. It's very peaceful too. Played the golf course for the first time in a recent Pro Am. A terrific layout. Very accommodating off the tee for players of all ability & length. Green complexes -- where the track gets really good...a variety of looks, preferred & unpreferred locations for most pin sets, requires some creativity to get up & down if you miss the greens. If I was looking to retire in the east valley, I'd love to play this golf course everyday. read more
