I had a pedicure at this location and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience from start to finish. The technician and I had significant communication challenges because she did not speak English well enough to understand my concerns. During the service, she cut one of my toenails noticeably shorter on one side. When I pointed it out, she insisted it was the shape of my toe rather than acknowledging the uneven trim. While my toenail is not perfectly shaped, it was clearly cut too short on one side. To make matters worse, when she helped me put my sandal back on, she smudged the polish on another toenail. The most serious issue occurred during the callus removal process when the pumice stone scraped the back of my leg near my ankle. The area later became infected, requiring a virtual doctor's visit, prescription medication, and documentation with photos. Given the poor service and the injury I sustained, I felt it was reasonable to request a refund. However, I was told refunds are against company policy. I then asked for the owner's contact information and was provided a phone number that only directed me to voicemail. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled. Not only did I pay for a service that was poorly performed, but I also incurred additional medical expenses because of the injury. We all work hard for our money and should be able to expect basic professionalism, quality service, and accountability when things go wrong. Between the glamorous atmosphere, welcoming receptionist, complimentary beverage, seasonal pedicure treatments, kind and engaging staff, and ease of booking, I can't imagine a better nail experience. This visit, I had Charlie do a full acrylic set with pink gel as well as Dinny, my normal pedicurist, who did a "Pumpkin Spice Pedicure" with a salt soak, sugar scrub, steam therapy, and more! Came for a pedicure and a friend's French tip manicure. My nail tech cut me a few times during the pedicure, it happens but no acknowledgment of hurting me really rubbed me the wrong way. My friend's French tips were pretty bulky and messy, it felt like they rushed and didn't really finish properly. I have been coming to Zara Nail Salon for almost three years, ever since they opened. During that time, I have consistently supported their business by getting dip manicures and pedicures, and I have referred many friends and family members because I genuinely enjoyed the quality of the services and the kindness of the staff. I also brought my young daughter with me, and she has been coming with me since she was just one year old. We have always had positive experiences overall and have been treated kindly. I recently called to schedule an appointment after having a baby six weeks ago, and I was extremely shocked to be told that there was a note under my phone number stating that I am no longer allowed to book appointments or receive services at the salon. I was told that the manager, Vanessa, made the decision that neither I nor my daughter could return because several nail technicians had allegedly complained about my service. What was especially upsetting was that I was given absolutely no warning or opportunity to address any concerns before being told that I was no longer welcome. I have never been disrespectful or rude to the staff. In the almost three years I have been a customer, there have only been a few occasions when I needed to return because a nail needed to be fixed or a design needed a touch-up. Aside from those isolated situations, my experiences have been very positive. I have also been pregnant with two babies during the time I have been a customer, and I continued to support this business throughout my pregnancies and after having my children. Being treated this way now, especially only six weeks after giving birth, was extremely hurtful and disappointing. I understand that a business has the right to make decisions about its customers, but I believe customers deserve communication and an opportunity to understand or address concerns before being suddenly told they are no longer welcome. I also find it particularly unfair that my young daughter is being excluded when she has done nothing wrong. This experience has left me feeling singled out and discriminated against, particularly because I have been a loyal customer for nearly three years and have referred many people to this salon. Probably one of my least favorite pedicures I've ever gotten. Not only did the gentleman ask if I wanted a trim to my toenails. I told him yes he cut them all the way down. I hopped on a meeting for work so I didn't have time to see what he was doing until after he already cut my toes. Every time I've asked for them just to be trimmed a little bit. I've never had them completely cut my entire toenail down. There was no cuticle trim. There was no ingrown or anything that he did to clean up my toes like a normal basic pedicure offers. then the polish it's kind of dark in the salon so it's hard to tell until you get into the light... My big toes are like a darker color, and my other toes are splotchy and translucent. It looks extremely uneven for $60 worth of a gel pedicure (tip included). Unfortunately, I will be having to reschedule an appointment with another salon so that I can have my toes redone and spend double the price to fix something that just is not good all around. Even the lady at checkout asked how it was and I told her it was just all right. It wasn't great and nothing was offered. No questions were asked just told to pay. read more

Nail techs are rude and when you complain, the front desk girls are extra rude! They don't care if you're happy with the services you receive. I went to Ann for 2 years, twice a month. I asked her why she was in a bad mood today and she said she didn't want to do my nails! They gave me a guy named Kian. Ambience Walking in feels like a little slice of Vietnam--in the best way. It's welcoming, lively, and honestly a vibe. Also... there's a bar (YES, a bar). Which is genius because depending on the design you choose, you'll be parked in that chair for hours, so you might as well sip something while your nails get upgraded. Also, huge plus: everything looked clean and sanitary. No weird smells, no sketchy tools, no "why is that towel damp?" moments. Nail Techs Let's talk about the real heroes: Clarissa -- I need to personally thank her for putting her whole back into saving my husband's feet. This man had major callouses, and somehow she turned his feet into something that resembles a newborn baby's softness. I'm still shocked. A miracle worker. Ana -- She did an amazing job with my pedicure, and the massage?? Top tier. The kind that makes you forget bills exist. MVP: Sam -- Sam absolutely understood the assignment for my manicure. Not only did he listen, he EXECUTED. My design wasn't basic--this was a Pinterest-level, detailed, complex moment and he nailed it (literally). I've been going here for a while and the last few months have just been down hill. I request my appointments about 2 weeks in advanced, I travel about 30 minutes to come to this location. Each time after I have confirmed my appointment day of, I have gotten messages that my appointment has been moved back 45 minutes. I understand things happen but this has been 3 appointments now. The nail tech this time did not want to do my nails any shorter, which I would understand if I was asking for too short but they are really long and I like a medium length. The nail tech said she was going to do powder and I said no thank you I prefer gel and she immediately changed her attitude and became annoyed. I asked for funny bunny and bubble bath (I'm not a fan of the combined color so I wanted them separately) The nail tech told me it would be too thick to do separate coats. I said I have never ran into that issue and I get this combination frequently. She rolled her eyes at me and loudly huffed. When she did the last coat she said "are we finally done? you want coats and coats and coats and don't listen." I just responded and said yes that is all I asked for. She quickly filed them and wrote the check and said next time don't ask for so many coats (apparently 3 coats 2 of 1 color and 1 coat of the other is too many and I'm not sure how it would be too thick when these colors are as thin as water!) Didn't do any cuticle oil or anything after. I won't be coming back as I feel like the services have just continued to go down hill and I felt on edge that I was upsetting the nail tech over a very simple service. read more
