    So I purchased a Groupon today for this company and tried calling them, and there was a message that said they only communicate via text messaging. So I booked my appt online and added a note that I had a Groupon. I was later told that I had to pay the difference in pricing because I used to have a membership. I stated I didn't remember ever visiting Hello Sugar and was told they used to be named Sugar Me Wax. I explained that I shouldn't be faulted for that because I was unaware that is was the same company, but per their Groupon fine print it should still be valid because I hadn't visited Sugar Me Wax in years(clearly lol) basically I was told the fine print was an error and I could cancel or pay the difference. I canceled. Classic bait and switch. Beware of this company. Thats why I canceled my membership when they were Sugar Me Wax because their business practices are shady. Guess bad businesses just get so many complaints and just change their name, but not practices.

    The terms of the Groupon Hello Sugar will not honor.

    I will never go there again. Purchased a Groupon they will not honor. The terms says " The text says "Valid at any location in the Phoenix Valley. Not valid for clients active within the past 12 month(s)." I have not been there in the last 12 months." But now they are saying it's for first time customers only. Where is that listed when I purchased the Groupon? Very bad customer service!!!

    As a member I was going to try this location because my usual technician at the East Mesa location was booked too far out to fit me in before my vacation to the beach. I specifically scheduled it for today 6/29 at 6:25pm so I was clear to go in the ocean after 24 hours. I arrived at the appointment 15 minutes early to the address that popped up when I scheduled the appointment, and where gps brought me to. I knock on the door at my appointment time and I am greeted by a confused gentleman saying this location has moved, and he was the contractor renovating this space. (The door still had the "hello sugar" decal, and there was no notice of closure.) I contact hello sugar at 6:30 (via texting because they do not talk to clients over the phone???) and I am instructed on how to get to the new location. While I am on my way I let them know I would be there at 6:45pm. I am then told there is no availability at the moment and asked if I could reschedule for another day. Nooo? That's why I had an appointment and I was never contacted, and the address was never updated on their google, or yelp listing. I arrive at the "new" location and I asked if they had anything the rest of the night because I'm desperate. Then they ask if the Tempe location would work for me at 7:00pm. How was I expected to drive from queen creek to Tempe in 15 minutes after I already drove 20 minutes out of my to get to the first location. This appointment was scheduled a week ago, why was the address not up to date then? Why was I not contacted by the technician or hello sugar with an address change? Or at the very least an update on google listings or yelp. I canceled my membership and I will find somewhere with better communication skills. Also - the reminders should state the name of the technician, and list the address the appointment was scheduled for.

    So firstly some context about Sugar Me Wax's Queen Creek location. It is a single room within a facility that houses 20 or so different independent businesses, all with their own single rooms, like hairdressing salons, etc in a very intimate setting. What this means is that Sugar Me Wax is housed in a tiny room in which only one client can be seen at any one time. There is no waiting room or place to check in. I showed up for my appointment at 12.40, five minutes ahead of schedule. The door was locked, the curtains were closed and I could hear voices. So I took that to mean there was still a client being seen. Having been to this location on a couple of occasions previously, the door has always been open and the curtains open when they are ready for their next client. Rather than stand outside the door, I went to sit in the lobby area of the overall complex, knowing there is only one way in and out so I'd see when the client left. Sure enough, about 10 minutes later, a lady came past from that part of the building. I wonder if that was her? So I wander back but the door is still closed, the curtains still drawn. So every 5 minutes I wander back to see if the technician is ready but every time the door is closed, the curtains drawn. Finally after half an hour I go wander back and stand outside the door and someone comes around the corner and says out loud so everyone in the building could hear, "Are you here for your Male Brazilian. I'm afraid you've missed your appointment." So I proceed to explain I've been here the whole time waiting for the door to be open and she apologizes and accepts its her fault after she questions why I didn't knock. "I'm not going to knock if I think you've working on a naked client I explain." "Well I'm sorry" she says, "but I'm booked back to back. Would you like me to see if I can get you in to another location?" "No," I explain, "I live 5 minutes from here, that's why I booked it. It's 1.15 now, when is your next appointment?" "2 pm" she says?! "Ok, can we do it now?" I say. "No, it's my lunch break." "But you've just had half an hour sitting around," I plead. My wife was booked in for next Friday, once I told her my story she asked me to cancel her appointment. So they have lost two customers through the rudeness and unprofessionalism of this employee. We will not be going back and we would not recommend this establishment for you either.

    I have just relocated from Northern Nevada to STV, and have been on the lookout for a new eyebrow lady that wasn't 1hr away. Lexi (at the Queen Creek location) was friendly, kind, and explained what she was doing BEFORE she did it-- super helpful! Will definitely be booking with her again!

    Riley did an amazing job. She was friendly and waxed quickly but throughly. It did hurt but not as bad as I thought.
