This is a tough one to write. Ambiance was really lovely indoor restaurant (Gaspar) with Tuscany like views. Outdoor tables were also available, also with great views and very nice setting. Just on ambiance they deserve an "A" Our server was very sweet and friendly but seemed to forget us numerous times. We ate our charcuterie boats without the wine we had ordered, as an example Food overall was disappointing. Charcuterie was on par with most local wineries. We enjoyed it. Wine was enjoyable (when we got it). I was DD and drank diet cokes. I asked for more when my glass was getting flat half way down). I was NOT told I would have to pay for each order so add $15 to the bill. Water brought to table in cute bottle but was tap water, not filtered. Fried Brussels sprouts were maybe a little too charred for some but our party enjoyed them. Steak for $49 was ordered med rare. Came close to well done. Ceviche with chips was good. The house salad was plain but enjoyable due to a very good vinegar eye. Potato's were squared with lots of paprika. A disappointment in flavor for $8 a side. Calamari was disappointing Ahi was good but looked very lonely on the plate ( see photo and you'll know). All added up, some food was better than other dishes but very average, some disappointing for close to a $400 tab. Truly one of the best winery's in Temecula wine country. Altima has some of the boldest reds that I have come across here in Temecula. If you are a Red WIne drinker then you need to put Altisima on your Saturday or Sunday plans. The outdoor space here gives one of if not the best view in the valley. Nothing better than sitting back and enjoying some great wine and amazing view. One major perk here at Altisima is that if you are with some people who are not so big on the wine, there is a phenomenal flight of Sangria for them to try. We signed up for membership faster than you can say "refill," and let me tell you, the wines are delicious and the restaurant is a total gem! The staff? Absolutely incredible! They had limited menu for lawn seats and due to misinterpreting salmon open faced sandwich (sashimi style), I only had French Fries, but they were delicious and plenty! They were kind enough to credit! My sister had a glass of their White Merlot, lite and tasty, not too sweet. I had a glass of their Garnacha, bold and hearty, not heavy, I really enjoyed it! We have been coming to Altisima ever since they opened i want to say 3 years. Everytime we come we grab a wine and sit outside, maybe quick lunch or so. On this occasion, we have chosen to bring our children along for dessert in order to celebrate a birthday and unwind on the couches. This establishment is not suitable for children. The only place where children are allowed to sit is on the chairs. If they attempt to stand up, security is immediately present. If they move to see the view security is standing right there , if they go an inch away from the table security is right there. The service was a bit on the slower side, probably because we were with kids and unfortunately, the dessert was not up to par - the regular chocolate ice cream lacked that rich chocolatey flavor. This establishment is the sole location that is not suitable for children. Every other winery we have visited has been truly exceptional. Mount Paloma, Leoness , Callaway , Falkner, etc all but Altisima. To bad we wont be coming back here anymoreI prioritize carefully selecting establishments that cater to families, as I value both my time and financial investments. Businesses that do not accommodate children will not receive my patronage. read more

We've been members for a year now, and after having memberships at several other wineries, nothing compares to Altísima. The views, the ambiance, and the wines are on a completely different level. We had a fantastic experience and great service. The wines were tasty, and the AC inside really helped with the 110-degree weather. The outside is beautiful, too. I recently went to Altisima for the Mother's Day brunch and it was the worst experience I've had at winery. It was obvious they were unprepared and the food/buffet was just thrown together. There were was no obvious place to start it and it felt more like I was picking at scraps. They didn't put out enough food so it would immediately run out so the rest of us would have to wait for a long period of time for the next plate to be set out. Our waitress was nowhere to be seen and I had to find her in order to get drinks. Plus, the drinks were watered down and of course over priced. I'll never be going back. I wanted to share about our recent experience while visiting the winery on Saturday, August 31, 2024. My wife and I arrived with four other wine club members. Yes, we were prepared for the possibility of a busy day due to the long weekend. However, our experience really left us not feeling recognized like wine club members. At about 1:50 pm, we left our information with Chantel and were provided with a beeper for the next available spot to go to the member lounge. I did see that we were the second party on the wait list and we were told it should not be too long to be called. In the meantime, we attempted to see if there was an available table or seating out in the lawn area. We were surprised that there were no longer a designated area for members. There were also no available shaded areas to sit. Therefore, we decided to wait inside and put our name for the next available seating at the restaurant. While waiting about about an hour, my wife approached the host desk to check on our member lounge access. Chantel said that she was sorry because they had our party down for 8 and and not 6, but did not realize we had pager #8 and that's why it was taking longer. My wife informed her that it was incorrectly inputted and she said there was still a wait and we would be called shortly. Keep in mind this was while we continued to observe many other people being allowed upstairs. About two hours later we were called to be seated at the restaurant and we were done about 5:50pm. I still had the beeper from the member lounge access and I informed Chantel at the lounge desk that we were very upset that we never were called to the lounge. She stated that they called our party and I explained to her that the device never went off. She told me that it was probably because it was out of battery. However, she did not make an attempt to make things right. I explained to her why did she not make attempts to contact us. The winery has our contact information. Why didn't staff go around calling our name... I mean how many times do we have to go asking... They still had us not highlighted as being notified and assigned the beeper. I informed her that we have never felt like non-members while visiting the winery and that I would be informing management of our dissatisfaction.She apologized but yet still made no attempt to contact management to see what could possibly make things right or offer us to go upstairs at that time. Again, this visit made us feel less valued as wine members. We could not believe that Altísima did not make attempts to accommodate wine members. There could have been several efforts or accommodations that could have resolved this issue. Granted there were other times that we did not see Altisima make extra efforts to show there appreciation for members, but this time it did not sit well with our party. We all left with the same opinions and the desire to cancel our memberships. Unfortunately, this winery has become like a commercialized winery like Wilson Creek and no longer shows their appreciation for their members. Therefore, we canceled our membership. read more
