I don't understand why this place doesn't have 5 stars. Food was amazing! Big portions and reasonably priced. Everyone was super friendly! Please don't let waiting in line to order sway your decision on coming. It almost did for me. We will be back. read more

I had the most wonderful experience dining here. Maricela was one of the lovely waitresses that served our table. Her kind and thoughtful demeanor made our morning! Even when the restaurant is packed full of people, their servers always make the effort to check on everyone and ensure they have the best dining experience. Not to mention, the food here is AMAZING, especially the chorizo scrambler! I definitely recommend getting the POG drink as well, it's the best combo! read more

I saw this restaurant recommended on instagram and new I had to try it. We came on a Thursday morning and it was not too busy. You line up and order at a counter. One of the employees brought us a menu to browse in line while waiting. There were so many things I wanted to try! I decided I needed to ask for recommendations when I got to the front. The person taking our order was really nice! She answered my questions and recommended the guava toffee French toast. I also ordered that and a fried rice lite bite meal to share with my husband. My husband ordered the spicy chicken and bacon waffle. To drink we got a Hawaiian latte and orange juice. After ordering, we found a table to sit at. The restaurant is clean and spacious with inside and outdoor options. Our order came quickly. The Hawaiian latte was amazing! Notes of coconut and macadamia nut. 100% recommend! The guava French toast was delicious. Literally could not stop eating until I cleaned the plate. The fried rice was well made with a good egg to rice ratio. My husband also enjoyed his meal. We were surprised with a slice of cheesecake to try. You have to get the cheesecake! It is worth every bite. It had bits of pineapple, a delicious crust and whipped cream. Yum! I'm already planning to have my birthday brunch here next month! Can't wait! read more

It was EH. Nothing exciting (except maybe the muffins. They're HUGE) Overpriced for what you're served. Asked before we ordered "how many chicken strips are on the kids plate" Cashier replies with "idk. 4 or 5" Ordered it.... It came with 2. 2, very Small chicken strips. Lavender vanilla latte was GREAT. I'd go just for that. Loco Moco was EH. Eggs not cooked how ordered. Cheeseburger was so messy it fell apart & I had to eat it w a fork. All in all - okay to try, probably won't be back.... Except maybe for a muffin & a coffee. read more

Today someone passed out in the line waiting to order due to this restaurants negligence. Under a heat advisory, the restaurant did not have AC on and was getting stiflingly hot and humid. Many people were fanning themselves with the menus or their hats and were visibly hot or sweating. Customers in line began talking about how warm it was in the restaurant after standing in line for some time. Not even 10 minutes later, a young man passed out and fell on the floor. Following this, various customers told the manager that the AC needs to be on, but he dismissively told them it was on. This was ridiculous, as no air was coming out of the vents and it was clearly warm in the building. Another excuse given to the concerned patrons was that the AC was on, but the doors leading outside were open which brought in warm air. Again, this made no sense as only one door was half open and there was no cool area across the restaurant. After the paramedics arrived, the AC was evidently turned on as it significantly cooled down in the restaurant. Keep in mind that the door was still open half way, therefore it cannot be an excuse for the lack of AC. Having people stand in a 20 minute line, no chairs, no AC or circulating air under a heat advisory is absurd and puts people at risk. Today's situation could have been worse and it was disappointing to see the managers dismissive attitude to the several patrons voicing their concern. read more

Fantastic new brunch spot in whittier! I've been wanting to try their other location, but happened to be in whittier and was stoked this place opened. I got to-go, but there is PLENTY of seating indoors and outdoors. You order first, then grab a table. I got the ube pancakes and the katsu and belgian waffle. The ube coconut pancakes were delicious and unique. Not too sweet, can definitely taste the ube, and the coconut/Macapuno sauce were a divine match. The waffle and katsu is a take on chicken and waffles and I am here for it. The Katsu was well fried, and not overly greasy or too dry. The waffles were a tad soggy, but I think that's because I took it to go. Not at all the fault of the restaurant. Service was super nice and really on top of it. Extensive menu, salads, pancakes, kids menu, Loco moco, and so much more. I 100% recommend it, definitely felt like a piece of hawaii right here in Whittier. read more

Presentation was amazing! The food looks so delicious. Spam musubi was so good, first time trying it and it lived up to the hype. The pancakes were really delicious, so fluffy and tasty. Dear Management, I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience my family had at your Whittier location. My wife, our kids, and I waited in line for about 10 minutes before reaching the counter. When it was our turn to order, my wife politely asked the employee at the register a simple question: whether seafood is cooked separately from other dishes. This was an important question for us because of seafood allergy concerns. Unfortunately, the employee responded with a very unpleasant attitude. Instead of answering professionally or showing any understanding of why we were asking, she replied that everything is cooked together and that "everything cross contaminates," and she said it in a rude and dismissive manner. Her tone and facial expression made the interaction uncomfortable and unwelcoming. What was most concerning was not just the rude response, but the complete lack of effort to accommodate customers with allergies. For a restaurant that has just opened, I would expect some level of customer care or at least the willingness to say something like, "We can prepare your food in a separate pan," or explain possible options for customers with dietary restrictions or allergies. Food allergies are a serious issue, and many restaurants make an effort to handle them with care. Being told bluntly that everything cross contaminates, combined with a rude attitude, left us feeling like our concerns did not matter at all. We were excited to try your restaurant, but this interaction made the experience very disappointing. I hope management addresses both the customer service issue and considers implementing better practices for handling allergy-related requests. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope steps are taken to improve the customer experience at this location. Sincerely, Kino Martinez read more

We were driving around the area and noticed the "now open" signs, so my mom and I decided to stop in and give it a try. I was impressed by the extensive menu options, reasonable prices, and generous portions. The black coffee was exceptional! We opted for the two-egg dish with protein and a side. I chose the fried chicken steak, while my mom went for the Spam slices - both were mouthwatering. We added an order of fried rice to our meal. The small portion was delicious - more than enough for the two of us to share! The pancakes were a highlight: thick, fluffy, and buttery. The sourdough toast was also outstanding. You can really tell they use high quality ingredients. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, regularly checking in on us and refilling our coffee cups. The atmosphere was lovely, with beautiful decor and a spacious layout. The overall vibe was bright and airy, making for a truly enjoyable experience. Overall, a delightful meal, definitely recommend. read more

Came to try out the prime rib loco moco after seeing their social media marketing campaign, and it was a pretty big miss. For paying $31, the prime rib was overcooked and oversalted, the gravy was not that flavorful, and the rice was pretty soggy. Only good thing of the dish were the eggs, but you know, kind of expected for a breakfast spot to know how to make eggs. I recommend getting anything else on the menu besides this item. read more

There was a long line upon arrival around 10:30a but it went pretty quick. Marcela was great she greeted us at the door explained how the ordering process works, was attentive with our water and other needs. There's an extensive menu, I ordered the island chilaquiles they were very good, a lot of food two people could've ate from my plate. The buttermilk waffle was delicious. The Hawaiian latte was very tasty as well. Friend ordered teriyaki chicken it was my fave. Will definitely come again. Thank you Marcela! read more

Restaurant was very clean. Employees kept areas clean, the time we were there! Food was outstanding, my kids ordered: egg breakfast burrito, Oreo waffles and homemade orange juice, these were so good. They loved those breakfast choices. I ended up at Aloha Stacks because the other place wanted reservations. Honestly, it worked out. I got the Denver omelet, and the cool thing is all omelets and scrambles come with a pancake choice. I went with banana pancakes--they were fluffy, though I could've gone for a bit more banana. They didn't have Tapatío for my denver omelet, but Tabasco worked fine. I finished it up with an iced Hawaiian latte (macadamia, coconut, espresso), and everything hit the spot. I'd definitely go back. read more

I don't know how anyone could rate this place poorly. The food is phenomenal! My husband is super picky and this is one of his favorite places to go. It's not cheap, but the portions are huge! We always take home enough food for almost another meal lol the service is great and thank God there's always parking. Sometimes there are long lines, but they always get your food out quickly. For Father's Day I would say we waited 15 to 20 minutes in line which was to be expected but we had our food in probably 10 minutes. It was awesome. Highly recommend this spot! read more

This is a new restaurant that opened up in the city of Whittier. Business seems always busy. Arrived at noon. It took about 25 minutes to get to the register and put in our order. After we had to go look for a table which was difficult because of the restaurant being busy and needing a table where we can use a wheelchair and put the walker to the side at least . Personally, I don't like when restaurants have you look for your own table as people will always go and sit before they order to save a table. Our orders came out separately and wrong twice. The Mac nut banana pancakes were delicious. The dried oxtail tasted amazing, but the rice was undercooked and almost bland . The burger was basic; nothing special about it . The overall experience was alright, but not a place I'd be in a hurry to go back to. Side note: the waiters should get help carrying the drinks, it looked as if they were struggling without a server tray. read more

I almost don't want to write a review because I want to gatekeep this place, however that would be a disservice to all the foodies out there that love a good brunch place. 12/10 overall experience at Aloha Stacks! Food was delicious! We had garden crepes, breakfast sandwich, macadamia nut and banana pancakes, and ube waffles. To drink we had the Hawaiian latte and the ube latte. No notes, complaints or suggestions because everything was PERFECT! As for the service, Maricela was soooo sweet, kind and welcome, she quickly cleaned a table for us, she greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcomed, as if we were having breakfast at her home because her hospitality was amazing! I came with a friend for breakfast, the food and service here was excellent! We ordered the Captain Crunch French toast, it was delicious. It came with a guava drizzle that wasn't overly sweet, perfectly balanced. The drinks were great as well. We tried both the ube latte and the Spanish latte, and both had a nice flavor without being too sweet. Our waitress, Maricela, was attentive and friendly and the manager, Nancy, even stopped by to make sure everything was going well. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Stopped by during the week for mid morning breakfast. We walked in between rushes and only had to wait for about 10 minutes to order. Staff were all friendly and helpful and I was happy to see the manager constantly walking around refilling water and coffee. Managers at other restaurants don't usually do that. I had their chimichurri ribs and they were so amazing and my wife & MIL had the strawberry waffles. We also had a Loco Moco for the table. Everything was really good. The dining area was clean and the tables were well stocked. We liked the outdoor dining area. We will definitely return. read more

AMAZING FOOD!!! Almost everything I ordered tasted incredibly delicious. From their ube pancakes to their entrees and drinks, everything was so unique and seasoned/flavored perfectly. The details: (Iced) Hawaiian latte - 5/5 it's not listed under "iced" beverages but you can still order it iced! It has a macadamia nut flavor and is perfectly sweet. It has one shot of espresso but the flavor was still strong and came through the sweetener/creamer. Iced ube latte - 5/5 also perfect sweetness! It had just the right amount of ube flavor as well. All their drinks I've tried were very well balanced. Omurice omelette - 2/5 this was on the special menu and not on the regular menu. It has fried rice and Portuguese sausage inside an omelette with cheese. Lacked flavor and tasted a bit bland so I wouldn't get it again. Chimichurri fried beef ribs - 5/5 looooved this dish especially the sauce! Item was also on the list of specials. It was pricey at $20-ish but came with 3 large beef ribs, 2 eggs and a side. Well worth it imo. Ube pancakes - 5/5 omg soooo good!!!! It comes with a purple ube drizzle with coconut flakes on top and white syrup (coconut maybe?) on the side. This was my favorite food here. The flavors all blended so well together and it was the perfect level of sweet. Banana and Mac nut pancakes - 4/5 my daughter loved it but I much rather preferred the ube pancake. This one came with powdered sugar and regular syrup so it didn't taste as special compared to the ube haha. Strawberry muffin - 5/5 there's chunks of strawberry in the batter AND strawberries on the top! Tastes so good **helpful tip: you can upgrade your sides to one of their specialty pancakes for $2-3 extra! Comes with 2 pancakes. Great way to try several signature menu items without having to order a la carte** read more

I really want to like this place because it's walking distance, you can pay ahead of time so you're free to leave when you're ready, and the staff is friendly. The savory food hasn't quite lived up to the rest of the experience for us. The breakfast burrito had good meat, but overall it was a mushy, soggy mess with very little texture variation. The island chilaquiles were fine, but not especially memorable. I know our experience doesn't seem to match a lot of the glowing reviews, so maybe we're just not ordering the right things. We did have a decent experience with the pancakes on a previous visit, but I also remember the waffle with chicken and cheese being very dry, with textures that felt off. Overall, the food we've tried so far lacks a real wow factor. That said, the matcha latte is pretty good, and I know they offer special meats on the weekends, so I'm willing to give it another try and see if ordering differently changes things. read more

So happy to see this restaurant in town! Finally a breakfast place with new options! We ordered the chorizo scramble, garden crepes, chicken fried steak, Nutella crepes, a stack of pancakes, and the coconut pineapple muffin. For drinks we had the ube iced latte, chai latte and lavender latte. Everything was absolutely delicious! The garden crepes were savory but not too rich and the hollandaise sauce was tasty but mild enough not to overpower the other flavors. The coconut pineapple muffin was very flavorful and moist. Service was great! You get in line first and order then find your table. It was pretty busy. I asked the manager if I could sit at a table while my family ordered and he was very accommodating and said yes. Lots of tables inside and in the patio. It was chilly out but they do have heaters outside. We were able to sit inside so I wasn't very thankful for that! Sunday brunch at this location. Rating is based on dining experience last Sunday 7/6. Hubby had the Island chilaquiles with 2 eggs, pork kahlua, rice, beans & cheese. It was a lovely dish, but honestly, it was on the salty side for our taste. Very filling but I don't think hubby will order this again 3/5 I had the Loco Moco plate with rice and I mean, a ton of rice! (talk about carb overload). Topped with 2 eggs and wedged in between the rice & eggs is the hamburger patty cooked medium well. Wish they served 2 patties to balance the rice/protein ratio, unfortunately found only 1 piece of patty. There wasn't enough gravy on my plate. Should've asked for more gravy on the side. Overall, it was good and filling to the max, only ate 1/2 of the meal and took the rest home 4/5 Staff is very nice and helpful. We arrived before 9am that morning and service was pleasant, organized and fast. Wait time of 10 mins from ordering to sitting down to enjoy our meal 4/5 read more
