Great service and food. The manager came out and spoke to me. She was very friendly. I had the BBQ combo plate and there was healing portions of meat. The meats were all juicy and cooked to perfection. I had a grass jelly drink that was refreshing. I also had the spam which was delicious. Once you walk through the doors of Aloha express you are greeted by the owner and the staff with a mahalo. Ordering is easy and simple. We ordered the Spam Musubi, aloha bbq mix, crab meat sushi burrito and the blue Hawaii with boba. Everything was so flavorful and really inexpensive. The owner is always walking around making sure everything is good and takes lots of pride in her work. They're finally open!! We've been stalking for a year! They offered complimentary boba and teas for their opening so that was cool! The Loco Moco was lacking...it was an egg over hard, not over easy. The gravy was watered down or not quite brown gravy...maybe it was turkey gravy? The pineapple smoothie was awesome! Served in a pineapple and, while NOT a Dole Whip, it was reminiscent. husband had the Aloha Mix BBQ and it was good, he said five stars! The mac salad was good, too. We also had spam musubi, good, and spicy tuna rice ball....not spicy and it seemed like a generic fake sushi mix on top of rice...not poke or sashimi. We'll be back. Also! There was a NON service dog in the restaurant who was being fed by hand by its owners. Management should have asked them to leave the dog at home. read more

The food portions were pretty big portions. My fiancé and I shared a plate and it was just perfect for the 2 of us. The food tasted great, esp. the marinated beef. Additionally, I ordered my food and was told it would take 10-15 mins...and they were on point. When I walked in, my order was being placed in a bag and all I needed was to pay...pretty dang fast service. The inside was rather clean and well air conditioned. Their portions are worth the price! So far I've tried their teriyaki bowl, katsu, milk tea and peach jasmine tea. I love it every time. I get full so easily but that's because I can't eat too much at once. I end up having leftovers. The teriyaki is very tender and juicy. The sauce is a great balance to eat with rice and the veggies that come with it. The katsu is thin with more breading than chicken and by itself it doesn't really have much taste so sometimes I use hot sauce. I haven't tried the sauce it comes with but next time I will. The drinks are also very refreshing and super nice when you ask for the popping bobas instead of the regular tapioca. Other than that I think this place has some nice chicken. I really have been looking for a great place in Visalia that has boba and this place is it for me! Their staff are always very nice and greet everyone that comes in the door. You can also tell that everything is high quality and they really put thought into their food and decor. The reason for the three stars however, is that I ordered 4 milk teas and it took over 20 minutes to get my drinks, and I didn't order any food. My party and I were surprised at how long it took because the restaurant did not seem to be busy. This is the first ACTUAL Hawaiian restaurant in Visalia. The shaved is is authentic, they actually have loco Moco with 2 scoop rice. Chicken katsu, mix plate lunch. I usually always eat here, but today I walked in to girl in front practically picking her nose then they gave my food to someone else and got it back and proceeded to try and give it to me, after I said something the lady rolled her eyes and said it would be remade. I waited 20 min for first order and my "remake" was 45 seconds max, meaning I got the same exact food. Disgusting.
