I thought it was pretty good, but I was also very hungry so I may need to come back and give it another try. I also had a taro smoothie. It was okay, but I wished it was a tiny bit sweeter. My husband ordered a spicy salmon roll. He felt that the sushi rice did not taste fresh and that the sauce on the roll was what was made the roll good. Originally he wanted the Christina Roll, but they were out of eel? This is the very best hole in the wall Poke restaurant in Visalia. The fish is always fresh. The serving sizes are quite reasonable. The service I've had, has always been helpful and friendly. The restaurant has always been very clean, although the ambiance is a little lacking compared to the food. My favorite thing to do is get food to go, and eat in a nice park. It's an older run-down shopping center, but don't let the exterior stop you from going inside. It's a super cute little shop with nice tables and nice décor. The woman that helped us at the counter was really lovely and patient with us while we looked over all the options. She was very polite answering the phone, assisting a doordasher, and assisting the other customers that came in behind us. Two of us went and we both really enjoyed our food. The white rice was perfectly fluffy and the brown was nutty, flavorful, and had the perfect amount of chew. The bulgogi was tender and seasoned so well that I honestly could have eaten an entire bowl of that by itself. The KBBQ was good and a little spicier than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The spicy crab was exactly as expected, mildly spiced and fresh tasting. The person that went with me enjoyed their tempura. All of the toppings were incredibly fresh tasting and I think part of that is because they keep their toppings covered, so they don't dry out like I've experienced at some other poke bowl places. If you're in Visalia and craving something fresh, PokeRito is literally my GO-TO spot. I come here all the time and it never misses. Everything tastes super fresh and the portion sizes are HUGE, you're definitely getting a lot of food. My only complaint is that sometimes they can be a little light on the protein, which I wish was more consistent or offered more scoops with their bowls. The sauces though?? So good. I always get the yum yum and spicy mayo with a drizzle of their teriyaki and it's the perfect combo every time. This spot was such a good find! We stopped by on the way back from a weekend trip, and were excited to find a poke spot in the area. I had never had a sushi burrito before but have had plenty of sushi and poke. When I saw the place was called pokerito, I knew I had to try the sushi burrito from here. It wasn't busy at all when we came around 11:30am on a Sunday. I built my own burrito with salmon, spicy crab, and plenty of toppings. For the two sauces, I got the yum yum and sushi sauce on the side. The burrito was actually quite big, but I would say the poke bowls are probably more worth it for quantity since you're paying the same price. The salmon was super fresh and so soft, and paired so well with everything else. I liked the spicy crab as well, but there wasn't anything too outstanding about it. Both the yum yum and sushi sauce were delicious and I loved how getting it on the side meant I could add the perfect amount to each bite. A solid and consistent poke location in Visalia. Excellent for pick up, making it a great choice for lunch. I've use the online ordering system through Yelp and I've never had an issue. The bowls are packaged well and bagged up with napkins and utensils. The only downside is that some of the daily specials and toppings weren't available through the app. However, unless you want nigiri or a sushi roll, I recommend getting an order through the app as the bowls were often neater. =ORDERED= *Bowls: came in two sizes, regular and large with 2 or 3 scoops of protein respectively. *Bases: consisted of lettuce, white or brown rice or seaweed salad. *Proteins: loved the selection of cooked meat and seafood alongside raw seafood. My favorites were the tuna and salmon. The bulgogi and Cajun shrimp were great alternatives for those who don't eat raw fish. My favorite was the crispy onion in terms of texture and saltiness. *Sauces: most options were soy sauce based. The only memorable sauce was the poke island which was mayo based mixed with pineapple. There weren't many spicy options. The miso and poke sauces were relatively bland and only contributed salt. I'm most impressed by the quality and variety in proteins from Pokerito. 7/13/20 I've been on a poke bowl kick and been eating this type of dish nearly every single day as I've become addicted to its delicious contents. So naturally, I came across this restaurant. I can't recall exactly what I ordered but I usually get half and half of rice and iced greens along with whatever marinated raw fish they may have. This location has a very delicious ceviche style salmon, in a slight acidic taste. I really enjoyed it and came back again for another order. So this will be my last visit. $11 for two scoop bowl when they were only $7.50 about 4 years ago. $13 for a 3 scoop. As a guest from out of town I wanted to find something delicious and different that I wouldn't be able to get in my own town. Visalia is basically a food desert and Pokerito is a life saving little delicious oasis in the middle of some of the worst offenders on Mooney. For those who don't understand what a poke bowl even is: think deconstructed sushi. Bed of rice topped with your choice of protein plus fresh ingredients and those sweet (or citrusy or spicy or whatever you pick) sauces that I tend to go ham on at other more expensive sushi places. In between bites my fiancé told me this is his new favorite place. He hasn't even stepped foot in the restaurant (which isn't much to write home about anyway, the location is rather meh, but it makes parking easy.) The meat was fresh but didn't seem to be the sushi grade quality I've seen at Japanese restaurants or other places that serve poke.
