Love this place! This is a great place to have a quick lunch. They are fast and friendly, and the food is yummy!! This is my go-to for a quick snack and to satisfy my sushi cravings. The chicken teriyaki bento box and geisha roll are my favorites here. The bento box is pretty filling and at a great price too! Clean restaurant and it's always so peaceful when walking in. Sometimes we like to dine in for dinner too for the same reason. A must try! read more

Found this place off of Yelp as I visited Visalia area it was the closet food around to me so I walked in to give it a try. The service was not very welcoming kinda seemed like we bothered the cashier with our presence but I still gave it a chance hoping the food would make up for it and the food came out at a decent time Frame from what we ordered. The place itself was nicely decorated and fresh for the outside weather but the seats weren't very comfy. Once the food came out it was alright, kinda surprised the food came out on throwaway plates. read more

Food was ready at pick up, got the bento box. Sushi was okay, chicken and rice is fair on flavor.

Food is not great. Not sure how it got the rating it did. If you're looking for good sushi and traditional flavors. This is not the place.

The food was good, not great, just good and so was the price with the bento box being 16 bucks. Has a decent amount of food too so it's worth it. Atmosphere is lacking but the food makes up for it. read more

Tokyo Teriyaki - 30R. Geisha Roll and 12R. Combo Roll - Japanese Near Me - Visalia, California

The bento boxes are nice. Sushi is pretty good. Always like to order to go a little wait but it's because the food is fresh thanks

A great little place. My bento box was packed with salad, rice, salmon teriyaki, 4 California rolls, and about 8 pieces of vegetable tempura (which seafood-allergic people should know also included 2 large tempura shrimp). The price is reasonable for the amount of food, though considerably higher than some of the older menu pictures posted here - be sure you're looking at a recent one. I took away 1 star because the tempura wasn't fully crispy (though still good) and the restroom is really dated and dingy - it needs a refresh to measure up to the rest of the facility. But still a worthwhile place. I'll be back and bring the husband if he can live without a beer with his dinner, or we'll do takeout - they don't serve it. I'm glad to find a new local option for us. read more

Tokyo Teriyaki is Visalia's best kept secret! The people who know, know! Even though it's sort of a "fast food" restaurant, the food is better than fast food! The atmosphere is old school cool, six tables and counter seating. The staff is always friendly, patient and helpful. The food has always been a notch above fast food. It's always fresh and served hot. They have a good variety of dishes from the standard teriyaki plates to my fav, chicken curry over rice! They even have sushi. If you're in Visalia and are looking for no-frills, good Japanese food, this is the place! read more

Call ahead, like 15 minutes, as they do take a bit to prep the food. Not a complaint, just a heads up. I really like the food here and I've eaten here several times the last few months. They have a lot of good options, and their food is good quality and good tasting. I'm sure I will eat here many times again as their prices and offerings are hard to beat in the area. read more

Love the bento box! I always get that when I go! They are very nice and let you customize. I can't have the California roll so they let me sub for gyozas. Wish they stayed open a little later though! read more

Nope!!! Run!!! Go to in-n-out!!! We orders for our family of six so we were invested. We ordered 2 beef bowls, one bento beef bowl and one spicy tuna roll. Here's the breakdown Beef bowl - beef texture is hard. Not tender. - we would describe it more like a liver taste. - rice in the bowl was good. We should have ordered one beef and one chicken since we had never been here before. Sushi - small is the negative. Very small. Very very small. Bento bowl - beef was terrible. - rice was good. - Tempura was edible. - Salad was not good. I'm from out of town so this would be a warning sign for anyone from out of town. This might be the best pot in town and that okay. read more

If I have a craving for japanese food and I dont want to break my wallet, I go here. Ive been here multiple times throughout the years and I always get greeted pleasantly by the staff. They're always clean, consistent with their prices and taste of the food. My favorite place for a bento box. Always fresh and hot! The cucumbers always get me. They are so good. Wish they could put more. If you're looking for something filling then the bento box is a must. I at times get the shrimp pad Thai. So so so good. This place is a gem in my books. Always looking forward to getting my fix here. The best thing is to call ahead or eat in so they don't take long. Can't say anything bad about this place. Thank you guys for making delicious food! read more

A great little Teriyaki place that also has sushi. My daughter loves the beef teriyaki and my go to is the curry rice. It's the only place in town that has it and makes it right. Like most places in the valley, they close on the early side, so don't dawdle. read more

It's been a while dining in here.. Actually I haven't been here since the old owner owned it. It seems to me it got better the the chicken curry bowl was tasty with the right amount of curry to rice ratio with lots of chicken but not much carrots. Came here for lunch on a Monday. Got the spicy crab and spicy tuna rolls. Both were fine. My bf got the bento box. The teriyaki chicken and tempura were good. Great portions, great food, great prices, great service! Would go here any day over the fancier, overpriced places with small portions!

We tried this place after reading positive reviews...Nice clean restaurant. They don't seem to have menus to read while you wait in line to order! Kind of slows things up. I ordered the teriyaki chicken/spring roll combo. It comes with a "salad" which consists of iceberg lettuce an cucumber. Not bad, not great. The chicken itself was a solid C. Just lacking flavor that I have become accustomed to in Seattle where there is a teriyaki restaurant on every block. The spring roll was not very good. The worst part was, they charge 50 cents for a little cup of extra teriyaki sauce that sort of ruined the overall experience. I just don't get why the owners of places like this are so sort sighted by charging for teriyaki sauce as it it a teriyaki restaurant and most teriyaki restaurants I have eaten at have a bottle of teriyaki sauce on the table. Not likely to return. read more

First time stopping by after constantly passing by the location when I would shop at Walmart. My fiancé loves chicken Teriyaki and insisted we give it a shot. It's surprisingly busy, and a lot of customers seem to place orders over the phone. That being said, customer service is good, the cashier is personable and on top of all the phone/takeout/ dine-in orders. Although the decor is dated, the indoor seating area is clean and there are bathrooms available as well. We both decided to try the Teriyaki Combo #18. But it seems like their most popular meals are the bentos with tempura and the teriyaki bowls. My review is solely based on the teriyaki meal, my fiancé and I, ordered. We really enjoyed the dressing on the salad, it added a really nice flavor to an otherwise plain side. The teriyaki is decent. As in, what you would come to expect from teriyaki, no more no less. I would rate 6.5/10. The food is made to order so you can customize how you want it made. We didn't change anything from either of our meals but appreciated having the option to do so. My fiance being the teriyaki chicken lover that he is said to me, "The chicken is okay but nothing special." Being that there are so many other options for teriyaki chicken in Visalia; we both ended up comparing it to the other places we've tried and decided it just wasn't up to par. I personally wouldn't stop by again because it's about a 35 minute drive to Visalia and I wouldn't chose this place over my other favorites nearby. But if you live nearby, you should definitely give it a try! Also, you can also refill your drinks without charge. read more

Maybe it's just me, considering the reviews are all good, but I thought my food was disgusting. Smelled really foul..I threw my plate away after about 3 bites. Located by the Walmart on Mooney, this spot is snuggled between 2 stores, so you might miss it thankfully. I gave this place 2 stars because the customer service was amazing, and my food was out in less than 10 min. Seating is like cafeteria style, so wear whatever you want. I will definitely not be back... read more

This place would be getting a 5th star if they would just upgrade their dining area. I don't mind the order at the counter style, though, it would be nice to sit in actual chairs that are comfortable enough to eat. This place might be in a little shopping area next to Walmart, but it is definitely worth stopping by and ordering to go. The food was great as well as the service. Yshould be paying double for a bento box that comes with a full tray of delicious food. The tempura breading and the teriyaki sauce is on point. The salad dressing is a ginger dressing that is plucked from the heavens. My chicken, that sits on top of the rice, was not overloaded in sauce. Overall, this is a must stop for high end Japanese food. read more
