Condiments. I don't recommend the ginger

Unpretentious, fast food Japanese spot. The food is ok. When I come here I'll get a chicken teriyaki bowl and a California roll. Today I got a beef and chicken teriyaki bowl, which was fine except for the beef. The beef was overcooked and dry. The California roll is mostly rice. The service is ok, sometimes a bit rude and uninterested, and on rare occasions, friendly. I come here because my spouse likes the rice bowls. But for a few more dollars you can get excellent food and good service at Sushi Kuu or Healthy Japan. The interior of the restaurant is basic, but clean.

Service was good and prompt, but got an order to go and disappointed. Chicken Kushikatsu Plate - kushikatsu was good but said came with Namasu Salad but was Sunomomo (cucumber) which would have been okay but cucumbers were limp & aging. Ordered shrimp roll & spicy tuna roll & barely had any filling. Compare picture to site pictures. Have come periodically for over 20 years, but not in over a year. Very disappointed off prior quality.

I recommend to always call and order ahead, saves time. The food is constantly a fave of mine for lunch. Teriyaki chicken bowl extra chicken and tempera veggies. I came in the afternoon to be taken care of by lovely young hardworking ladies, such an improvement from the normal woman who is rude, condescending and will talk trash about you to your face

Ah yes, the stars go down for the second visit. Wife ordered the curry and Masaru's hasn't changed their practice of putting 5¢ worth of curry over steamed veggies and rice. I ordered the Teri beef and chicken bowl. You know, teriyaki beef and chicken should have teriyaki sauce on it. Nope, not one drop. They also didn't not properly seal one of the sauce cups for what I assume was gyoza dipping sauce since we did have an order of that. This sauce leaked onto the bag and into the upholstery of our new car. Not ever coming back and will discourage any and all from eating at Masaru's.

Okay so I've only eating here a handful of times as my wife is from Visalia. We always order the chicken teriyaki bowls and I get a side order of tempura shrimp "it's sold by individual pieces", so I get like 3-4 of them. Teriyaki bowls are simple and delicious my 2 oldest kids who are somewhat picky eaters enjoy them so we come here every now and then when we visit my mother in-law.

The food is never fresh. The chicken in the teriyaki bowls are drier than the Sahara. Overpriced for mediocre food.

Love the simplicity of the chicken teriyaki bowl. The chicken is shredded and flavored perfectly, the rice is on point.

I went on a Thursday evening around 5 PM, and the restaurant was almost completely full. Luckily, my friends and I were able to grab a table and started ordering right away. I decided to splurge a bit and ordered the chirashi bowl, while my friends shared a couple of rolls. Our meals came with a complimentary salad, which was surprisingly delicious and a great start to the meal. When my chirashi bowl arrived, I was really impressed with the presentation. The assortment of fish looked beautiful and fresh. Coming from the Bay Area, I'd say the quality is definitely comparable. I especially loved the tuna -- it was fresh, buttery, and flavorful. There was also the perfect amount of rice to complement each piece of fish, leaving me feeling satisfied but not overly full. I tried a piece of my friend's sushi roll as well and could immediately taste the freshness of the fish. Everything felt high quality and well-prepared. There's street parking right in front of the restaurant, plus additional parking across the street. I'd recommend coming a little earlier in the evening because by 6-6:30 PM, I can easily see this place being completely packed. I can definitely see why this establishment is popular because of it's food and nice interior decor. I noticed a lot of people ordering bento boxes, so that's definitely something I'll be trying next time.

Food: 5 The tonkotsu spicy and shoyu spicy ramens were delicious. Both came with a whole egg cut into two halves and two decent size chashu meat, along with your typical ramen veges. The noodle was cooked well and the portion was good. We also ordered the Hokkaido (baked) sushi roll which was very tasty, but I have to admit all the good looking ones with the best names are on the raw sushi side. Overall very satisfied with the food. Service: 5 The gentleman has great etiquette and service and assistes with recommendations as we were first timers here. He is a large part of the experience being amazing and quiet honestly an example of the standard for quality service. Overall a great experience and we woulddl definitely return. As somewhat of an anime fan I quite enjoyed seeing the names of some of the items on the menu and it really did entice me to order some of the raw sushi... if only I could fit it all in my stomach. I usually go for the sushi rolls, and they have never disappointed. While they do not have as many roll options as some other popular sushi places in town, the ones they do offer are excellent and well made. The only downside is the service can be a little scattered. Most of the time it is great, but when they get busy it can be hit or miss since tables and roles do not always seem clearly assigned. That said, the food keeps us coming back, and it is still a local place we enjoy and recommend.

Sakura Buffet is only 1 mile away, right across the freeway at corner of Prosperity Lane and Cherry Street, next to the Vallarta Mexican Supermarket. I think it is really legit for an AYCE asian buffet in the Central Valley. The ladies who work there are friendly and the service is tip worthy. My wife noticed that most of the customers were Asians. That's very reassuring and the quality of the food was really good at the price point. For families with little kids, they have American entrees like pizza and chicken strips. We would definitely return to this place on our next stop going to or from LA.

Walking in the decor is really nice and it's extremely clean and organized here. It was a little after the lunch rush so there wasn't too many people. All the food is displayed nicely and it appeared to be fresh. I usually go for the sushi and they had quite the variety and the taste and quality was decent. They have plenty of Chinese style dishes, so I sampled some appetizers like egg rolls and tried some stirfry. I also tried the crab legs and crawfish and they were not bad. I'd say for the price, Sakura will do if you're hungry and craving a Chinese style buffet. It may not knock your socks off but it will fulfill the craving.
