    spam musubi

4 02/27/2026 @ 1445-1515 [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant atmosphere/ambience is very nice upon entry. Tables are close and plentiful, all come with a condiment tray, napkins, chopsticks, and the restaurant music was of good/fair choice (radio I assume) and loud enough to drown nearby conversations[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. 4 Service was great. The servers/waiters were nice, professional, and helpful; checking in occasionally to see if anything else was needed. 5 We ordered during lunch hour and got 1 spam musubi, 1 tengu tonkatsu ramen, and 1 should ramen. The spam musubi was good, and the ramen were really generous on the meat, eggs, and toppings as is. The thick noodles we selected were quite just right. 4 We were in and out due to other priorities but a 4.3 total on food, service, and overall a experience. Compliments to the chefs today and especially the servers/waitresses... they were nothing but kind and helpful.

Crunchyroll and pho and free thai tea that was sooo yummy

Best food place of all visalia, in my opinion, i could genuinely have the crunchy roll all. day. everyday. it is the best thing ever, and it's so great that they have a lot of varieties of things that u can't get often in other places like fried shell crab, or different types of pho, they are genuinely so good and they're all so nice, and i love the fact that they give you cans of soda so u know how much more u wanna pour in, and the fact that they have a colorful awesome look, with cool posters and stuff like ugh I EVEN WENT ON A FIRST DATE HERE AND HE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, it's just something about this restaurant, i swear i'm not crazy lol. pls try it (pls try the crunchyroll)

This is the first spot I tried out for ramen in the Visalia area. I'm glad I stopped by [[HIGHLIGHT]]the shop has a cool water fountain at the entrance[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the food was pretty good I didn't get to take a picture of the dumplings but it was all so delish! The server was helpful.

This was a good place for dining on the go. Their portion sizes are a good size and their prices are reasonable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is decorated in Japanese anime characters which gives it a cute little charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ended up ordering some Udon dishes and a Miso ramen bowl. All of their food was delicious and tasty. The service was great. At least 3 different staff workers check on our table. That shows that all of their staff care about their customers and everyone all have the same role when it comes to customer service. We were so hungry and their food was so good, we ate our food and forgot to take a "before" picture of our food. But please take my word, you definitely want to eat here. I would come back for their lunch specials when I'm back in the Visalia area.

Walked in around 530pm, we picked this one with Japanese cravings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside walls decorated with Japanese market paintings and traditional Japanese umbrellas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And we got seated right away, they took order fast and served fast as well ( less than 10 minutes). Ordered the miso Ramen, spicy chicken Ramen and curry plate. The food was good in their own way -- unfortunately not authentic Japanese flavor. The curry was watery, and the ramen soup base tastes lack of flavor. And the spicy sauce is more like Chinese spicy oil. The portion was good, unfortunately only 3 stars for the flavors.

Delicious! I was here on a date and the server was so kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was busy for 11am but I see why.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the thick noodles and it was perfect on a rainy day. Apps were great too.

Food is absolutely delicious!! I don't like much noodle places, this one is exceptional. The waitress was awesome, super nice and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It wasn't loud at all, just average.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you go the miso soup is a MUST try with kimchi on the side!!

First time trying this place, had some great reviews so we decided to give it a shot. We went at 5:00 on a Friday so it was our dinner, after saying that I can see this as more of a lunch spot. We ordered the dumplings and vegetables spring roll as an appetizer and our main entrees that we went with was the curry beef udon, curry chicken udon, regular beed udon and the salmon rice bowl...so out the door $83...not bad. The curry udon bowls smelled amazing, unfortunately they didnt quite have the traditional curry taste to them which was disappointing. Beef Udon was ok, seemed very sweet tasting so had to add chili sauce. Spring rolls came out so hot we couldnt even pick them up for a bit, but unfortunately not really had any type of taste. Dumplings were small but tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was good, again I would rank this as a good spot to get lunch and not to sit down for dinner, has that type of ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All the employees were awesome, friendly and helpful, so that was a 5 star for that.

Seaweed Sald & Squid Legs (tempura batter)

Decided to grab some lunch today. I was looking through some restaurants and found this location on my recommendation list. Oh, I'm glad this popped up for me, the food was great! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was chill and the setting was lively. It's a mix of Anime geekiness and a Japanese Ramen Restaurant style.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Server was ok, when I got it there I was expecting a more welcoming, kind of like in Japan, but who knows it's America? I was told to have a seat by the single table against the right wall. Wasn't guided but self-seated. Although, I was expecting to be seated near the kitchen where the stools were because I was dining alone. But it's alright, they probably have seating arrangements like this so the server can control service flow. I was able to place my order quickly because they had a menu outside their door, which is pretty convenient. Got my order within 5-10mins. The apps came first which was the seaweed salad and squid legs. The seaweed salad tastes how it should, nothing crazy or special about them. The squid legs (calamari legs) cooked with the tempura batter I presume, were pretty good. I was expecting them to be crunch and hard but they came out perfectly cooked. Although, if I were to make this at home, I would add a pinch of black pepper or some kind of spice to enhance the flavor. After a few minutes my Tonkatsu Ramen finally came, which was the sole reason I chose to eat here. Alright, to be honest I liked the Ramen, liked the soup, but I wouldn't necessarily say I love it. The Broth was the only thing that made it, for me, not to love it. I love my broth to be rich and creamy, filled with umami. But! Don't be get me wrong! The flavor and the structure of the Ramen was there! Everything was precise. Tasted how it should taste and felt how it should have. The noodles were cooked to the point where it's firm and not loose, soggy, or sticking together like most places I've been too. The soup? It's great, I felt like, it was purposefully not too rich and creamy over all for majority of the consumers. Because you gotta think about the kids, elders and people with sensitive taste. I'd say, give it a try. It's pretty good. If you'd read all this, thanks... I just love food.

    Vegetable croquette, Takoyaki, Fried Tofu

Was originally going to go to Aloha next door for some Hawaiian but decided to check this place out after peeking at their menu outside. Good thing we did cause this place has a good selection of yummy foods to choose from. Everything we ordered was superb, and we'll definitely be back again to try out more of their menu. If you're thinking about trying this place out and wanting some good Japanese food, this is your spot. Fried tofu was so juicy, takoyaki was hot and fresh, croquette was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, pork Katsu was nice and crispy to go with the curry, ramen was flavorful with tender pieces of chashu, and lastly the bbq eel was cooked just right and had us wanting to come back for more.

This wasn't for me, too fishy & gooey in the center. If you prefer a fishy creamy taste this is for you.

When you arrive make sure to sign in, using the sign in sheet at a hostess stand inside. We waited about 30-40 min to get a table, so be ready to wait. We went a Friday evening around 6-7 pm. Ramen & Pork Katsu are very good would go again for that. The service is a little iffy, not sure if they are overwhelmed or just new and young. But no greeting when you arrive, other customers informed us about the sign in sheet. Once we got our food we didn't get any more help we had to get up for extra sauce or napkins. Just hope once the "new restaurant phase" passes it may be a better experience. I'll try again in a couple months.

    Tonkatsu ramen with thick noodles

Ten Gu Ramen - Visalia, CA Rating: 4/5 Checked this place out on a chilly Sunday with the family. It was busy when we arrived, but we were seated within 10 minutes--pretty efficient. The tables were clean, and the ambiance was cozy and welcoming. We started with the shrimp and vegetable croquettes, which came out hot and fresh. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside--super flavorful and a great way to start the meal. I ordered the spicy miso ramen with fish cakes, and it was excellent. The broth was rich, spicy, and full of flavor. The chashu was tender, though I wish it had a bit more fat for that extra melt-in-your-mouth feel. The ramen egg was nicely done and complemented the dish well. The thin noodles were springy and held up perfectly in the broth--no sogginess at all. We also tried the tonkotsu ramen with thick noodles. The noodles were chewy and soaked up the broth really well. The broth itself was good but a bit lighter than expected--seemed like a blend of chicken and pork broth rather than a full-bodied, deeply porky tonkotsu. Still enjoyable, but it could've used a bit more richness. Overall, a solid ramen spot in Visalia with fresh ingredients, quick service, and cozy vibes. Great for warming up on a cold day. Would recommend, especially if you're craving ramen in the area!

But my friends who recommended it they've came but only for the drinks on the Lum Lums side. Hong Kong is the the food side apparently. So I ordered the Shrimp Fu Yung. I got stir fried shrimp with veggies over a clump of breaded onion. The shrimp was over cooked veggies were fine. The breaded onion seemed like it might have been reheated from a previous unused dish. If it wasn't for the gravy it wouldn't have rehydrated. Wasn't this an Egg Foo Yung dish, instead it was a clump of breaded onions. That's how bad it was. This place was busy but don't know why. The other people I was with ordered lemon chicken, orange chicken, fried rice, fried plain wontons, sweet and sour chicken. They all seem to enjoy it. They received a lot of food. But a lot was taken home as leftovers. My friends are also non-Asian and not a big foodie like me. So take that however you want. It's sad when businesses close but to make a highly traditional dish like egg foo yung terrible, that is a sign.
