Been coming here for a few years and let me tell yall this place is one of Tulare's best gems. Poke bowls are always generously served, plenty of options. The salmon and tuna are always fresh. The krave fries are great, the spam musubi is one of my family favorites, they make them nice and thick unlike other places. Today we tried the shoyu/spicy ramen and fried rice and those did not disappoint. The homemade roasted pork is now one of my favorite proteins. Fried rice tasted better than some of the Hibachi places around and huge portion. The staff were wonderful and helpful as always with great recommendations. My opinion on bowls & musubi.... If you are craving poki bowls go to Visalia. This place is NOT it. Neither is their service or their servings. :-/ I've went here on so many different occasions always hopefully the next time will be better. Nope! Customer service for the bowls is always weird and they make it seem like they are so annoyed. I get 3 items in my bowl so ya I'm not one of those customers. The variety to put in the poki bowls is so basic and hardly any choices. Way over priced for lack of options. The musubi needs more sauce and they serve you them with cold rice :-/ idk about anyone else but to me that's diabolical. I think the people who dine in and do ramen get better service. I love visiting Krave! Every time I come, I'm greeted nicely & served right away. They have so many options of poke toppings & put SO much on my bowls, it's worth every penny! My only criticism I have is their secret menu item the stir fry noodles. They should stay a secret. The food is also very overpriced. When in Tulare and your getting a crave for udon or ramen Krave is the spot. Order at the register then pick your spot if you're eating in. Very laid back and chill vibe. Staff is very friendly. We ordered the spicy pork belly udon and the spicy shrimp udon ... the flavor and portion is there. Not overly spicy; but just the perfect amount of spice that had a nice little kick to it. But I was impressed enough that I may come back if I'm in the area again. The poke that I ordered had salmon and tuna which I got to pick. It was served with fried wontons. A good and quick spot for poke. They are usually busy during lunch rush but the staff are always swift with the orders. Poke bowls and drinks come out immediately but cooked items take 10 minutes or so. *Poke Bowl: I usually opt for the regular size as 3 scoops of protein is sufficient. They have the usual bases of rice and mixed greens and the salad is always crisp and fresh. There weren't too many seafood options and there was chicken, roast pork, and tofu for those who don't like fish. The salmon was fatty and the tuna was lean but not fishy. Each scoop of protein and topping was generous. Masago and avocado were for additional charge. Notably the cucumbers were pickled, hence very sour. The sauces were flavorful, especially the creamy wasabi as it packed some serious nose hair burning heat. *Thai Tea: inconsistent in quality but good when the right person makes it. The tea base itself is deep and not too sweet. However there are times when it skews towards the milk, making the drink bland. *Poke Nachos: two scoops of protein atop of fried wonton chips. The included toppings were cucumbers, carrots, cilantro, crispy garlic, crispy onions, creamy wasabi sauce and spicy mayo. The mixture was well balanced and my favorite part is always the crispy onions and garlic on top. The wonton chips are crispy but the oil isn't always clean. Sometimes the chips are darkened and have a bitter, greasy aftertaste. The service is always polite and efficient. Despite the rush, they always carry out food in a timely manner. The fish isn't mind blowing but the overall quality of the toppings and sauces make up for it. Good portions and above average flavors. read more

Had a great experience yesterday trying the wings and stir fry ramen that we came back today to try other items! Spicy miso soup with udon was very flavorful and had the right amount of spice! Very good, fresh-tasting Asian food - ramen, bowls, and more. There's a nice variety of protein and sauce choices. I enjoyed a bowl, and the ones my family ordered were heaped high with more topping choices than I chose. One granddaughter's ramen was served in a large bowl - a very generous portion. The only downside was that food requiring prep (as opposed to a bowl created from the order counter) took longer, so we received our ramen and appetizers after the bowl eaters were halfway through their meals. I'm not sure how they could fix that, but it would be nice. A good choice if you're looking for a fresh, healthy option. read more

It was good. I haven't had sushi or poke for a loooong time because I got pregnant so for me to pick this place after a year and a half of staying away from raw fish was big! I drove 30 min to go here with my husband because of the good reviews. Place was clean, fish was fresh, toppings and sauces were good but hot damn was it expensive! I wanted extra scoop of crab meet and where I'm from (OC) it's usually $1 extra but they charge it as a protein so it was like $6 extra for a TINY scoop. Be careful guys, my husband and I spent $50 for 2 bowls. And the crab wasn't the normal imitation crab I'm used to, so for me that's like my favorite part and I was a little bit disappointed that it didn't curb my craving for imitation crab. They also don't offer avocado or I didn't see it. Cleanliness and fresh fish and good toppings are really important to me so that's why I'll give it 4 stars. Because of the expense of the extra crab fiasco it inspired me to make my own imitation crab and it's actually really easy. Now I can eat a huge bowl all to myself with my own seaweed and avocado for cheap. Ha! Would be a nice edition to a bowl from here ;P read more

I was surprised by this place. Most places I go to like this (locally owned shop in a small strip mall) have been disappointing; the food wasn't that good, the prices were more than I thought the meal was worth, the service wasn't very good, but Krave turned out to be a diamond in a world of coal. I drive from Modesto to Tulare for work Mon-Fri and a few months ago I was looking for a new place to eat (the service at my old Monday&Friday spot was pretty good for a while but when it went from pretty good to "I'll never come back here again" it went fast). A coworker suggested Krave and I've been going there every Monday and Friday ever since. I haven't tried their poke bowl but I've had the poke nachos which were really good, and I love their soup and the stir fried ramen. (until I started going to Krave I didn't even know stir fried ramen was a thing but it's delicious! I'd recommend the roast pork or shrimp) I also like the fried rice. (And though I haven't had poke at Krave one advantage I've noticed about Krave's poke compared to the poke places I've been to in Fresno is that Krave doesn't charge for toppings (unless you ask for extra masago or seaweed). The places I've been to in Fresno give you a very limited number of included toppings and if you want more it costs extra. One place tried to charge me 50¢ to add one teaspoon of sesame seeds for crying out loud.) But I mainly go there for the service. Yesennia, Ariel and Kinah are all really nice. They greet every customer as soon as they walk in the door and offer a friendly goodbye when you leave. The service is also very quick. I only get half-an-hour for lunch, and although I drive, use an app for my time clock and can go to the restaurant before I clock out, most places I go to, including some fast food, take too long for me to get my food and finish eating before my lunch ends, but that's never happened here. The prices are also reasonable, for the stir fried ramen and a drink it costs less than a large combo at Carls Jr! If you order the stir fried udon, though, get a fork, I ordered it once and it's too slippery for chop sticks. My season will be over in a few weeks and I won't be driving to Tulare for work for a while, but although it's 2.5 hours from my house, I may occasionally make up an excuse to go down there to go to Krave! My first time eating at Krave. I love ramen and after a short Google search, Krave popped-up. Upon parking, it appears the restaurant is closed (dark windows and no open sign). The restaurant opens daily at 11:00 am. Ordering is done at the counter and food brought to your table. I ordered the spicy ramen with chicken breast , with the chili oil on the side and one order of Spam musubi. The ramen broth was hot, delicious and flavorful. The egg was cooked to perfection. I will definitely order this again. Spam musubi was good but would have liked some teriyaki sauce brushed on the Spam, prior to wrapping. Or a sprinkle of furikake. I would order the Spam musubi again. I didn't try the poke bowl but everything looked fresh. The bowls are prepared like a Subway sandwich. Appreciated you offering a variety of sauces. I know some places are stingy about sauces and only let you get one or Yeo. Ramen was ok. So I am not gonna lie - I crave Krave! I was in town for a work trip, and after a few days on the road eating crappy fast food and low quality restaurants, I discovered Krave. The place is super clean and has a great low-key vibe about it. I told the lady behind the counter I was our first visit and so kindly explained all the ramen options and make your own poke style bowls. The man opted for ramen. I went to create your own bowl. For about $15, I got the freshest tasting bowl of food. I had tuna, shrimp, and spicy crab with just about every topping for no extra charge. What set it all off was the amazing sauces that you can mix and match. The man said his ramen was fantastic. The owner came out and had a great conversation with us. He explained that this is not a franchise but his own business - how cool. They have other options such as wings and gyoza. I can't wait to be back in the area - only to come here. Other people say it's too expensive, but honestly, I got so much food for $15, and it was totally fresh. I had gotten a super nasty burger combo at a fast food chain for the same price and threw half of it away. They have a few other touches like free cucumber water. Come check the place out, but only if you are into fresh tasty food. If you're not sure about the sauces, ask to try them. The fish and veggies were very cold, and the rice was warm right out of big steamer pot. I only give 5 stars to places. I will go back and eat again. read more

I ordered the shrimp ramen with added tofu ($extra) and I forgot the name of the broth but it was a spicy one. The ramen was delicious. The egg was fresh and not old. Good ratio of tofu could have used the same amount of shrimp but I get it. 5/5 stars I also ordered their loaded fries it was good 5/5. It'll The wings.....they tasted like they were cooked in oil that was sitting for two days. OK, if you like Ramen, or udon, poke bowls or rice bowls, you've GOTTA check out KRAVE. I'd heard that it was one of the top Ramen places in central California, so I had to check it out. I don't like fish (unlike the rest of my family), so I was just looking for the rice bowl, Ramen, and udon selections. I've been twice now. Normally, it would be difficult to give a five star rating to a walk up order joint, but this place really earned it. The girl, Ariel, who took our order (2nd visit) was great. Some great suggestions, she was very friendly and the food was FAST. She took our order for the kitchen items first, so that they were ready just about the time we sat down with the Poke/rice bowl from the counter. Very very fast service. And again, the food is excellent. Their tempura shrimp is some of the best I've ever had, especially with the sauce they serve it with. I got the ramen on my first visit, and udon on my second visit. Both were excellent. A healthy portion of noodles, and lots of other good ingredients. I personally like the Ramen a little better, just because I think the noodles are better. But you can't go wrong either way. My son got this Spam sushi roll thing which everybody really enjoyed trying as well. He also got the pork fries. Also delicious. Both times we've gone, my wife got a poke bowl with crab meat and rice. The girl at the counter also recommended a new (pineapple) sake, which was very good. I didn't care for the beer myself, but I'm not a real big beer guy to begin with. My wife says KRAVE is one of her favorite restaurants now, so we will definitely be back again soon.
