After a Yelp search, I decided to try this place for lunch. I was expecting a crowded restaurant due to showing up right around 12, but I was disappointed to find the restaurant completely empty. I was greeted by the owner, who happens to be the cook, waiter and cashier. He was so polite and patient with me when try to make a decision on what to order. So many awesome choices. I decided on vegetable tempura, vegetable ramen and a sushi roll. Vegetable Tempura: was so delicious, the batter was so light and crispy. The batter had a delicate and airy texture. It was one of the best veggie tempuras that I've had in a long time. Golden Tiger Roll: this is a fried sushi roll with shrimp, avocado, spicy tuna w/crunch and topped with Tobiko (fish roe). This roll was so flavorful and delicious. On a side note, I loved the pickled ginger here; when I mentioned this to the owner, he gave me two little containers of it to-go. Spicy Noodles (ramen bowl): my ramen was a bit spicy and served nice and hot. I wanted chicken, however, they only offer thigh meat which isn't my preference so I opted for the veggie ramen. The veggies were a bit over cooked for my preference however, I still ate them. The egg was poached in the broth and was nice and jammy when cut into. It lent a nice velvety texture to the ramen. The noodles were cooked perfectly. I was given four slices of fresh orange, which I found to be a nice touch. Overall, I highly recommend this small business and look forward to eating here again. The restaurant was clean and my order did not take a long time to prepare. Parking is plentiful as this business is located in a strip mall. Please support this small business.
We had heard great sooooo we went and tried it. Very simple menu and small dine in area. There was one other couple there. At the time we went it was a one man show cooking and taking orders. We ordered 3 items and they showed up in a reasonable time. Egg rolls were crispy and delicious! The fried Spicy Tuna Roll was amazing!! The chicken kung pow was a show stopper!! All The food was fresh and flavorful!! Price was very low for the portions!!
The staff was very friendly but the food was just alright. There was only one chef so the food took a while to prepare. Despite being 1 of 2 parties present, my two hand rolls took 25 minutes to prepare as no one else was available to work on the Japanese dishes. They had convenient menus for take out so I would recommend placing an online order prior to save time. *Yellowtail Handroll: the fish was on the colder side and the seaweed was not fragrant. There was only a thin layer of rice and I would have appreciated a bit more in flavor. The avocado and cucumber were fresh but I was expecting more for $8. The fish had some fattiness but the temperature made it a bit off putting. *Tuna Handroll: the fishier of the two. Had similar issues except I had to dip it in some soy sauce to take of the fishy edge. The wait was a bit long given the lack of customers so I would call in next time. The handrolls could be improved with more seasoned rice and potentially some sauce to dip in. At the moment, it seems a tad unrefined and too simplistic.
My mom and I have been looking for a Chinese restaurant here in Hanford for a long time now so decided to give this place a try and oh my...I wish we would have tried it sooner! There is literally not one negative thing I have to say about this place. From the minute we walked in, both the women waiting on us and the chef, were extremely pleasant and nice. This place has Chinese and Japanese food which is great for when you have a craving for both or if your group is leaning more one way than the other. The place was extremely clean as well which is always important. We got the bbq pork, orange chicken, beef chow mein, and edamame. Every single one of them was amazing. My favorite was the orange chicken though because the sauce was perfect. It was not overly sweet as that is what I have tended to find when I do order it elsewhere. It was lightly breaded so you were getting all chicken. Everything was freshly made to order and you could taste the quality. It was not greasy and did not make us feel that heavy tired feeling after either. The chef said he has been making sushi for if I remember correctly over 20 years and he gets everything fresh daily. We will be going back to try the rest of the items and the sushi very soon. If you want fresh good food, I would 100% recommend this place. I am happy to say our search has ended and I hope the owners believe when we said and say again, how amazing and delicious the food was. It filled a void we had since the place we use to go to for 20+ years in Fresno had closed due to the family becoming older.
I've only eaten here one time and I thought it was pretty good. The only thing that leaves any question in my mind is that we didn't eat at the restaurant we took it home. We got sidetracked and didn't have a chance to eat the food for nearly an hour which affect the food quality so I can't say too much on this particular review. I'm going to attribute any possible negativity to my lack of timeliness in regards to consuming the food. The owners are friendly and happy to see you. Very polite and treat you well. The restaurant was clean and I am be happy to go back again.
I have been coming here for the past 9 months and at least 3 to 6 times a week. The food never change and the owner still makes the best sushi in town. The owner knows exactly what I want and sometimes he give some extra dish. Nice guy. Keep up the good food rolling.
9/27/24 Hot and New!! Must try!! I called & ordered the Spicy Tiger Roll, Mapo Tofu and Baked Lobster Roll. The worker was very kind and said it would be ready in 20. I went in to get it shortly later. Arrived and checked in and greeted by kind worker!! Such a Great experience!! The owner was there and cooking away! Very kind! Everything made fresh! Great chef! Cooking away and the worker informed me its a family business. Order ready shortly later with well wishes! Lunchtime!! Order split. Fresh, tasty ginger! Spicy Tiger Roll 1/2 was Fresh & Great! Nice, spicy kick. Baked Lobster Roll 1/2 was Great too! DELICIOUS & flavorful! Both, even better with wasabi & soy sauce. Mapo Tofu was Good. FYI! Total mess. Be aware. Not much spice, but still tasty! Something different. Mother said her 1/2 was all Great!! Leftovers with the tofu. 1 order is a lot!! Great service & Great lunch! Highly recommended!!

AMAZING!! This food was very good and this place was underrated. Top tier service and food. They were friendly, good atmosphere, they had a nice bathroom and it was clean too. Also, great price! Overall, please stop here!! read more

We were a party of 6. We ordered sushi, bento box, curry, potstickers, beef bowl, cucumber with shrimp and a Chinese dish. Everything was made fresh by one cook and all dishes were great. Huge servings, fresh ingredients, glad we found this place, we will be back. read more

Amazing food, cheap prices, Great service and staff, The ambiance is decent, And they offer free mints which is great! I love mints, mints are awesome. Their sushi is really good, I recommend their Fuji roll, And their bento box is incredibly generous!! ^^ read more

Came from Tulare to try this place out. Was recommended by the sales team in Handford Dodge. So glad we tried it out. The chief knows how to please his customers with what they want. I had the orange chicken plate with fried rice and my daughter had the Teriyaki Chicken bowl. Fantastic. And the guy that runs it is so friendly and cooks it fresh after ordered. Great place to eat and great food. read more
