Finally after two weeks I was able to try this spot. I love Mexican food. I love fusion. Mexican fusion? Yes please!! I literally only came to my in-laws this week just so I could try this place out and surprise, it is literally down the street! I tried calling in the order and the message said you could text so I tried that but received no response. Odd. We drove down there just on the off chance they were open and lucked out. Unfortunately they were out of tortas , but that is also a good sign since they must be good right ? The owner and employee were super friendly ( I love great service!) I was lucky enough to snag a bulgogi burrito , some bulgogi Nachos / taco as well as a spicy pork taco. Let's jump right in with the best item. The spicy pork! It was tender , juicy, a little sweet a little heat with a slight aftertaste of pineapple. It reminded me a Korean version of an al-pastor taco. Freaking amazing! It was topped with some sort of pickled cucumber. I honestly wish I had gotten everything with the spicy pork. Literally 10 stars out of 5!!! Now for the beef bulgogi. I have had some amazing bulgogi in my life so I'm always ready to give it a try. This beef had great flavor but was a little tougher than what I am used to. It was also cut into bigger chunks steak style. All of the bulgogi I've had is extremely thin sliced. I think if it was sliced thinner against the grain it would be better. 3 out of 5 stars. The nachos were massive and topped with beans , the meat , cucumbers and some cheese? Not too bad either but I felt they needed a little more oomph. I'm definitely returning for the spicy pork and I now want to try the chicken. I think the spicy pork would go great with a siracha sauce drizzled over the top. read more

Cancel whatever lunch plans you had and find the time to go to Asian Taco. I happened upon this food truck's Instagram page (@the_azn_taco) and was immediately interested because I love Korean food. And I love tacos. Put them together, and it was a no brainer for me to try. The hours can change depending on the events the owner has going on, but she updates them on Yelp frequently so make sure to check often. I ordered three bulgogi tacos and three chicken ones. The owner runs the truck and cooks the food fresh on her own, so allow for some extra time because of this, especially if it's busy. It took about twenty minutes to get my food, which for me, isn't bad at all. But oh my goodness. The tacos were DELICIOUS. Both of the meat options tasted wonderful, and the cucumbers add a really nice contrast of texture and flavor. The meats are mild on their own, but the sauces can be spicy. If you're sensitive to spice, you might want to ask for other sauce options or go without. My only regret is that I didn't buy more, because I could really eat these all day. So if you want to support a budding business with excellent food and service, look no further than The Asian Taco. 10/10. I'll be recommending this truck to all of my friends who live in the area. read more

I really wanted several of the sides, but the day we went, they said they had NO sides available at all. (We were there right as they opened). I get that this happens, but sides are critical to balance out the meal, and I think this contributed to me not enjoying the meal because now it was too heavy. Got the nachos and some tacos. I like the concept, but I thought the sauce was way too salty. Normally I love sauce and I liked how there was a lot of stuff all over the tacos and nachos, but the sauce was just too much - combined with the lack of sides, I could only eat about 1/4 of the nachos before I had to stop. Saw a food trailer while stopping at the liquor store. I decided to give it a try since I do enjoy Korean food. We ordered 2 tacos (pork and beef) and a beef nachos. We did enjoy the food. The beef is tender and mildly seasoned. I was expecting more of a flavor punch with the beef but it was still good. The sauces they used are spicy. Not overly but you will feel a slight burn. So if you don't like spicy maybe ask for it on the side. The pork was the star at this party. It was tender, moist, sweet with a hint of spice (though I'm not sure if it was from the finishing sauces or the pork itself). I look forward to coming back and tasting the chicken and tofu next time. The nachos were also goodness (the ingredients minus tortilla chips were really good ingredients). My only suggestion would be maybe using a thicker tortilla or doubling up bc the taco did start getting a bit soft at the bottom and tearing up a bit. Also while the nachos were good and both me and my spouse enjoyed the food and balance of flavors we both felt the actual tortilla chips were taking away from the nachos because they felt subpar to all the amazing ingredients used. I remember swinging by their little truck when they first started up out in the Visalia area, and at this time I wasn't a vegetarian, and their chicken tacos were SLAMMIN! Next time around, i had them at the Woodlands, and I wish I would've snapped a picture before it was to late! I was excited to try this place. I love Korean food!!! After learning about this food truck, I looked for their hours and went to planet fitness to look for them. However, upon my arrival, the food truck was not there. My sister went to look for the truck on a Friday around 5pm, between their posted hours on Yelp. Again, the food truck was not there. Bummer. After messaging the food truck, they advised they'll be at the planet fitness parking lot the following day. My sister came from Bakersfield...and she was not happy. It was a huge disappointment. Updating their hours would be nice. A quick IG, FB or Tweet of their updated hours would've been nice. Ultimately, we came on a Saturday and found them! We placed an order for about ten tacos, a quesadilla, potato salad and drinks. We were excited to try their sauces, but only one was available (cilantro one). After we put in our order, about five more people arrived to order after us. We thought, oh, we came at a good time. However, it took 50 minutes for our food. We didn't even realize it had been that long! After trying the food, the beef bulgogi tacos, the spicy pork tacos were okay. The presentation was nice, not sloppy at all. The flavors of each meat we're good, but the corn tortillas were cold, so the tortilla was falling apart. The portions were generous, a lot of meat. However, the chunks of meat were a little tough to chew. The tofu taco was good, but we had the same tortilla issue. The quesadilla was good. The potato salad was okay. It was kind of bland. Not sure, if we came on a bad day, but the girls were nice. They offered a free potato salad for the wait. I've been dying to try this place for months...but either my schedule or the food truck schedule wasn't on track. Well, I finally did get a chance to try some of the Fusion tacos. Recommendation from the cook was to get the trio of tacos...steak, chicken, pork. They all were very good and the flavors were tasty. Hot cooked meat, slaw, pickled vegg, and spicy Mayo and sauce. My only gripe was the corn tortillas were kind of dry and broke easily when I picked them up out of the container. My favorite was the pork and chicken tacos. Next time I think I'll try the burrito and get the spicy pork for the meat. Very good. read more

Hi Hi x Recently travelled from London to visit a friend in Cali and while we were going around we came across this business. We loved the brand logo and we decided to try it. We were welcomed with a smile by the girl there and she explained the menu. I had Nachos and Quesadilla... I'm drooling now... I wish I could have them in London! They were so tasty and juicy. This truck was next to a popping truck taco and dessert spots. I was drawn to it because it piqued my interest. I've been visiting South Korea for over a decade, and I am a native Angeleno that enjoys Kogi like no other. With that said, I like this place because it fills a void in me. Although, I feel like they provide too many options, and in that, they fail because there is room for screwing up the order. I recommend a straight forward menu that provides a perfectly crafted taco with all the ingredients set. I do not want to wonder if my taco would have been better with tofu versus bulgogi. Everything about them is GREAT! The meat is well marinated and the sauce is so delicious. I especially love the banana milk. Banana milk is not available locally so I was overjoyed to find it on the menu. I place my orders via text or online and it is ALWAYS read for me by the time I get there. I attended a birthday party and the host hired this business to cater. They do a type of fusion of Korean and Mexican food. They served different types of tacos and kimchi fried rice this day with a selection of different types of meats. I am not familiar with Korean food so do not know the names of the sauces and marinades used but holy crap it was delicious! Everyone loved the food as it was super flavourful and was really different compared to typical tacos. I went up for 3 servings. The owner and her husband were super friendly and really quick with service. They also had a really yummy drink called Korean banana milk that everyone really enjoyed. Overall it was so so tasty. It was my first time eating fusion food and it was awesome. I heard a few people saying it was way better than the Kogi truck. The owner was really happy when she heard the compliment.
