I came tonight and asked for the same order of just three tacos al pastor, green sauce, and onions and I saw that I was charged extra and I asked but they said it was the sauces and I was like okay. They gave me quesa tacos. They were drenched in oil which I've been trying to avoid and had cheese of course. I wanted the good old plain tacos in the simple torillas. I was confused cause its been the same guy and I've asked for the same thing every time. I ate it cause they closed but my stomach is not handling it well. Just check your bag before you leave if you get takeout :( I also asked why I was charged more they said it was the sauces but it was the queso tacos I definitely didn't ask for.

So good we had to order another one! We got extra protein on the side, veggies on the side, and pickled onions on the side. Then we had to grab TWO to-go plates because the portions are so big, we could seriously feed four people! And because apparently we hadn't ordered enough food already , we added an asada taco too. At that point, we looked at each other and said, "Well... I guess we got lunch AND dinner for tomorrow!" Great portions, great flavor, great service. Hot City Tacos, y'all did that! The fried rice was so good. My toddler and son devoured their serving plus we had so much extra to take home. Definitely worth your money. My oldest son had the smash burger and he loved it. He said the cheesiness of it along with the freshness of the meat made it a great combo. And the potato wedges were original. The tacos... I cannot say it enough...worth every penny.!! She shrimp taco was on the pricier side as well as the ribeye taco. BUT it was authentic and so much flavor. The ribeye was cooked just right! So tender along with the homemade tortillas, such a skill. The sauces were just the final toping that it needed. The food here tastes so authentic and special. The ambiance was good, there was plenty of seating and they did have a bathroom. Which is such a lifesaver if you go with kids. Our bill did come out to a bit over $100, considering we also got a Jarritos, a Coca Cola bottle and a regular drink. However it was worth it.! Specially when you still have food to take home for dinner. We did get lucky with parking and we were able to get a spot right out front, however if you go on a busy day, it'll be quite the walk. But that's the whole point of eating down town, to enjoy with area and have good food.
