All the other reviews are correct, be prepared to wait an hour. Overpriced for sure. We ordered an XL two entrée. It was mostly all rice. Yes it taste good, but we were looking forward to the steak and lobster too. Not just the rice. I don't think we will return, you're paying all that money for mostly rice and for all an extremely long wait time. read more

Man this place is incredible and bomb af! I dont know why theirs any hate on this place because the food is freakin good! You got to be a hater to deny these flavors I swear! I literally found out about them by word of mouth on fb. Got here.. ordered..and Wow! It is worth the drive! All I can say negative is if you're worried about price..dont show up. Plain and simple. They're food is better than a wasteful sit down restaurant. So thank you Hibachi hut! I love your food read more

Hibachi Hut - If you wanna spend $25 on rice, this is your jam. - Food Trucks Near Me - Visalia, California

My meal was disappointing. There was an estimated 35minute wait and we stayed for 50 minutes. People were coming and going it looks like Grubhub is the way to go for future orders. We ordered 2 shrimp meals, 1 steak, an order of veggies and garlic noodles and 4 juices. We paid $85. The bad: The rice on all of our meals was hard and it makes up about 85% of the plate! The shrimp was not terrible but they did look like they spent way too much time on the grill. The steak was hard. We ordered mango and passion fruit juices that came in mason jars and looked bomb but they tasted like it was made from a pre powder mix where you just add water. The good: The order of veggies was good. It was well seasoned and it was my favorite part of my meal. The garlic noodles were also great tasting though the oil was a little on the heavy side like, runny almost. This place has potential but I would not go back. You may want to spare yourself the drive and wait time and spend your money at your nearest Panda Express or Chinese food place at the mall! read more

I ordered a XL two entree meal with chicken and steak. It was 45 dollars. I got my food and the meat was over cooked and over seasoned. The sauces are horrible. The teriyaki was runny like soy sauce. The spicy Mayo had little flavor. We are used to Sakura Chaya in Fresno and this meal was nothing compared to teppanyaki. I really had high hopes for this place but I couldn't justify trying it again. read more

This place is a definite must try! The food is flavorful and the rice fried rice is the bomb! I will definitely be a repeat customer and encourage everyone to go try it out! I definitely recommend ordering before you go bc the wait is around 30 mins. read more

Food is just bland, vegetables halfway cooked, meat over seasoned, steak had no flavor and over cooked, rice was ok at best and the price for the quality of food is literally ridiculous. 65$ down the drain for two meals. Oh ya and the spicy Mayo is nasty! Don't get it! read more

If I could give it a worse review I definitely would. After waiting over and hour for our food after being told 30-40 minutes, we took it home to eat. The staff was unpleasant to deal with and seemed bothered that we were asking at the hour mark when our food would be ready. Each time getting the 10-15 minute talk. When we got home, steak was over cooked and shrimp was rubbery. The plate had over 80% rice and the rest was veggies and meat. Considering we paid $85 for two plates of food and tip because we always tip trucks, y'all need to do better or not do at all. This was crazy. For all the hype about this truck I thought it would be awesome. I guessed wrong. Never again!!!!! read more

We ordered a regular steak dinner and XL steak, lobster tail and shrimp platter. They forgot to include the shrimp we ordered. Now the XL platter alone costs $45. Please take a look at the photo I attached that shows what you get for $45 minus the shrimp they forgot. We couldn't believe that was the lobster tail you get for $45. But we contacted them and the gentleman explained he was the one who dropped our food off. Because he was unable to bring us the shrimp that night He told us that we can just order the same exact platter with the steak, shrimp and lobster tail in the regular size not XL on the house next time. We decided to put in our order a week later and the gentleman on the phone tells us that that's not what was agreed upon. He stated that we would just get shrimp added and would need to pay for everything else. We told him that the man told us we would get the same plate we ordered last time on the house but the man insists that's not what was notated in their notes. We spent $60 with them for an incomplete order that honestly did not look or taste anything like a $60 meal. read more

My mom found out about this place on Instagram and told me about it so I looked into it and decided to give it a try. I had read previous reviews about how rude the staff was , the food being dry or flavorless or how long it takes to get your food but that was not my experience at all. Upon arrival I was greeted by a respectful young man that guided me through the menu and helped make a choice , he also warned me on how long it would take which was about 20-30mins and I was ok with that since I had the time. I ordered a steak and shrimp plate that also comes with veggies and rice which was delicious and filling , I couldn't even finish the plate. I came back to thank the staff for the delicious meal and met the owner who thanked me for coming out and trying their food. When I get good service I always complement it , people always take the extra mile just to complain about anything nowadays so don't let the negative reviews scare you away. If you don't have the time then don't come here because they will take their time to make the food which I'm ok with. This is not a McDonald's or Taco Bell where your in and out in 5 mins. read more

I hate to leave a bad review, but I feel it is necessary so no one else loses money. We don't often go to Visalia but specifically made this trip to try hibachi hut. We had been following them for a while on Instagram and were so intrigued by their pictures. I had seen their menu and prices and thought okay well it looks good enough for the price as long as it tastes good I don't mind paying. So we didn't order ahead and had to wait an hour for our food. Our two plates mine was steak and shrimp and my boyfriends was chicken and shrimp were $75 total. They didn't have the spicy mayo that was listen on the menu and we ordered teriyaki sauce that was most definitely soy sauce. The plates were very small for what they are priced at. The shrimps on their Instagram are pretty big and have the tails on them and our were the skimpy little shrimp with no tales. They did give us a good amount of them but they were very salty. The veggies had no onions like their pictures have and the rice barely had any seasoning or veggies like their Instagram shows and it was hard. The steak and chicken were both over cooked and hard. The flavor was not terrible but it was definitely not worth $75. Save your money and eat somewhere else. read more

I'm going to be very honest. I've done reviews before and most of mine are positive buuut not this one. I got the steak veggies and fried rice. The steak had some flavor. I do like my meat well done so well done it totally was. If you don't like well done go for the chicken. The veggies were good. Now for the rice...oh man the rice. This is where I'm a little lost on how the owner doesn't taste this in his own food. Sink water and I mean the very first bite it hits you. You know when you get soda at some places (It's always those hole in the wall burger joints lol) and right when you drink it you're like oh sink water and soda syrup? Yup now throw in a little rice and sink water. It's overwhelming and it's such an easy thing to fix. The price is steap but with covid EVERYTHING went up so I'm not surprised. Like dude we now live in world where ranchera meat is 14.99 a pound. I hate it here lol. But I would honestly spend the money on Gozen. I mean its the same price you get a cooking show or get it to go. Oh and here's the menu because I feel like you have to ask for it on IG and the owner sends it to you Idk why they just don't post it on IG other then he probably changes the price....but other then that the sink water rice makes me want to punch things. read more

This is my first review ever in Yelp but I felt like it had to be said...Eat there only if you want to spend spend.. these plates are not worth the price, I really expected more. It is nothing like the pictures on Instagram. My plate was $30 and it came with half the of the lobster tail. I practically paid $30 for fried rice and veggies. Honestly you are better of buying Panda Express. I'm really sad because I was looking forward to a really good meal. The taste of the food was good but the price I wouldn't eat it again. My mistake was not looking it up on Yelp before going. read more

I had such high hopes for this place... seen it on Instagram with great reviews so we gave it a try. Called to place my order over the phone which was answered a little unprofessional by a gentleman. While placing my order the man was a bit rude, as if I was bugging him. I was given a pick up time of 7:15 which was an hour 1/2 later. We arrived at 7:15 and told our food was NOT ready. 25 minutes later a man brings it out. Rice was bland, and the meat was extremely tough and over cooked. Overall, it was a bummer. We will not be returning. read more

I ordered a large shrimp $24.99 and regular steak $14.99. The food was horrible. Steak was hard and over cooked, the shrimp were small and I didn't get very many. It was so horrible, we had to throw it all away. read more

I personally Frequent this location . The food is always hot fresh I ordered my meal and received more than enough food to fill an adult with an ample amount leftover. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and well flavored. The consistency was perfect on the not too rubbery or mushy from being over cooked or undercooked. The steak was right above medium and bursting with flavor. The fat ratio to meat was amazing. The meat was juicy and tender. The veggies were sautéed and amply seasoned. Last but not least the fried rice. To die for. Like seriously, fresh garlic and butter notes the second you take a bite. Fresh pepper and some unidentifiable sauce but regardless is phenomenal. I would definitely recommend this to any and everyone. This is my go to but as I mentioned previously the have a growin menu that currently offers 4 protein options. As well as they're rice being fried or plain. You can opt to have all veggies or specific veggies or not veggies. The fried rice does not contain any pork whatsoever so it is available for many with allergies or selective diets. As far as sauces go they have a high demand for them and understand when they sell out. Honestly I've been eating here since they popped up and I've not once been disappointed. read more

Crappy restaurant. We tried the shrimp XL and the veggies and tiny shrimps made a very very small portion of the order. Food was forgettable and the drinks in a jar tasted like cheap kool-aid. They give you plenty of greasy rice and that explains the dirty windows on their food truck. First impression was bad. I clearly pressed no tip three times but when the cashier turned the screen she pressed something else. I noticed I got charged 7+ dollars on a tip I never gave. I don't think it was accidental. When I returned to get my money back not even an apology. I have a feeling they do that. They are already stealing your money by selling you overpriced greasy rice. I was so dissatisfied these guys made me post my first yelp review ever. read more

Tried this spot yesterday and man is the food good. I didnt know what to expect from a food truck selling hibachi/teppanyaki style and i was not disappointed bu any means. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY this is a real honest review first off the food took over 30 minutes which is fine because you're expecting great food right ? Well not in this case not only did we wait they gave us the wrong order I called to let them know and they said well we hooked you up one of them had lobster tail and then said I could have thrown it away and not ate it ??? wtf does that mean ? I didn't ask you to hook me up I asked for the food I ordered waited and paid for they didn't even want to fix their mistake or giving any apology or anything then on top of that the food is less than average the steak looks like wood chips the lobster tail they so graciously hooked me up with had no flavor and was over cooked the rice is hard the steak is dry the shrimp is salty it's just not good I'm so disappointed they lack compassion and customer service to the fullest so beware and check your items check EVERYTHING before you leave read more
