My meal was disappointing. There was an estimated 35minute wait and we stayed for 50 minutes. People were coming and going it looks like Grubhub is the way to go for future orders. We ordered 2 shrimp meals, 1 steak, an order of veggies and garlic noodles and 4 juices. We paid $85. The bad: The rice on all of our meals was hard and it makes up about 85% of the plate! The shrimp was not terrible but they did look like they spent way too much time on the grill. The steak was hard. We ordered mango and passion fruit juices that came in mason jars and looked bomb but they tasted like it was made from a pre powder mix where you just add water. The good: The order of veggies was good. It was well seasoned and it was my favorite part of my meal. The garlic noodles were also great tasting though the oil was a little on the heavy side like, runny almost. This place has potential but I would not go back. We ordered a regular steak dinner and XL steak, lobster tail and shrimp platter. They forgot to include the shrimp we ordered. Now the XL platter alone costs $45. Please take a look at the photo I attached that shows what you get for $45 minus the shrimp they forgot. We couldn't believe that was the lobster tail you get for $45. But we contacted them and the gentleman explained he was the one who dropped our food off. My mom found out about this place on Instagram and told me about it so I looked into it and decided to give it a try. I had read previous reviews about how rude the staff was , the food being dry or flavorless or how long it takes to get your food but that was not my experience at all. Upon arrival I was greeted by a respectful young man that guided me through the menu and helped make a choice , he also warned me on how long it would take which was about 20-30mins and I was ok with that since I had the time. I ordered a steak and shrimp plate that also comes with veggies and rice which was delicious and filling , I couldn't even finish the plate. I came back to thank the staff for the delicious meal and met the owner who thanked me for coming out and trying their food. When I get good service I always complement it , people always take the extra mile just to complain about anything nowadays so don't let the negative reviews scare you away. I hate to leave a bad review, but I feel it is necessary so no one else loses money. We don't often go to Visalia but specifically made this trip to try hibachi hut. We had been following them for a while on Instagram and were so intrigued by their pictures. I had seen their menu and prices and thought okay well it looks good enough for the price as long as it tastes good I don't mind paying. So we didn't order ahead and had to wait an hour for our food. Our two plates mine was steak and shrimp and my boyfriends was chicken and shrimp were $75 total. They didn't have the spicy mayo that was listen on the menu and we ordered teriyaki sauce that was most definitely soy sauce. The plates were very small for what they are priced at. The shrimps on their Instagram are pretty big and have the tails on them and our were the skimpy little shrimp with no tales. They did give us a good amount of them but they were very salty. The veggies had no onions like their pictures have and the rice barely had any seasoning or veggies like their Instagram shows and it was hard. The steak and chicken were both over cooked and hard.
