So good we had to order another one! We got extra protein on the side, veggies on the side, and pickled onions on the side. Then we had to grab TWO to-go plates because the portions are so big, we could seriously feed four people! And because apparently we hadn't ordered enough food already , we added an asada taco too. At that point, we looked at each other and said, "Well... I guess we got lunch AND dinner for tomorrow!" Great portions, great flavor, great service. Hot City Tacos, y'all did that! The fried rice was so good. My toddler and son devoured their serving plus we had so much extra to take home. Definitely worth your money. My oldest son had the smash burger and he loved it. He said the cheesiness of it along with the freshness of the meat made it a great combo. And the potato wedges were original. The tacos... I cannot say it enough...worth every penny.!! She shrimp taco was on the pricier side as well as the ribeye taco. BUT it was authentic and so much flavor. The ribeye was cooked just right! So tender along with the homemade tortillas, such a skill. The sauces were just the final toping that it needed. The food here tastes so authentic and special. The ambiance was good, there was plenty of seating and they did have a bathroom. Which is such a lifesaver if you go with kids. Our bill did come out to a bit over $100, considering we also got a Jarritos, a Coca Cola bottle and a regular drink. However it was worth it.! Specially when you still have food to take home for dinner. We did get lucky with parking and we were able to get a spot right out front, however if you go on a busy day, it'll be quite the walk. But that's the whole point of eating down town, to enjoy with area and have good food.

For this, our very first visit, we tried to queso tacos, rice, and beans. They had tables and chairs set up at the taco truck, but I took our order to go, and we ate when I got back home. The food was outstanding. And they were really quick to make it, although I was the only customer at the time, so it wasn't like they were making a bunch of other orders. Ever since this first visit, Tacos San Marcos has been added to our dining out rotation. If you haven't tried them yet, do yourself a favor and give them a try.

We also got a side of chips and salsa and two mini tacos, one with Al pastor and the other with barbacoa. The Asada tasted bad. The rest of the burrito was fine. The green sauce was great, pico and guac were fine. But the meat had this weird old tasting flavor to it. It even had a rancid smell to it after pulling a few pieces out to see what the problem was. I immediately had to stop eating it, the pieces were also fatty, tough and hard like a pebble. The chips also tasted old and stale, like store bought chips left out for a while. The Al Pastor was the highlight of the meal. The meat tasted charred, it was flavorful and well seasoned. I honestly should've grabbed a burrito with that meat instead. Barbacoa was just ok, nothing to write home about. A little more tough than what we've had from Chipotle. Not really seasoned. Overall, disappointed. Los Arbolitos was the spot to go to for a really good asada burrito. Unfortunately this doesn't seem like the case anymore. For 1 burrito and 1 taco with tip, came out to around $33. Don't do delivery from here. The Burrito was not very good. The meat was almost like ground beef in texture but also non existent at the same time. I tasted more beans than rice but even then, it was more of a soupy burrito with a tortilla that you had to rip at and hope each bite wouldn't undo the whole burrito. There was some kind of salsa inside it that wasn't apart of the description. It gave it an off flavor. Al Pastor taco was meh. The corn tortillas tasted homemade, which was nice. But the meat was stringy, kind of fatty and an off color almost a light orange. It tasted better than the asada but still wasn't very good. I do appreciate they followed my request for extra salsa, but these packs look like they come from a frozen dinner you get at the store. Absolutely off putting. The flavor was "ok" but nothing special. Overall, not worth it. $33 and I was left with an upset stomach. I had such high hopes! I haven't been in a long time and was hoping it would have been an amazing experience. I was wrong. I gave 3 stars cause I do appreciate them following the special instructions most other restaurants don't. But that still can't justify the food.

Even after circling downtown Visalia for a solid 10 minutes trying to find parking (absolute chaos), this place delivered. Right when you walk in, you notice the ordering kiosk--which, honestly, is necessary given how busy they are. That alone told me I made the right call. While waiting, I saw a cook putting together a big order of quesabirrias, and that sealed it--I added one to my usual single-tortilla carne asada tacos. Let me be clear: they do NOT skimp on the meat. Easily a 10/10 in that department. The flavor is on point, the salsa hits, and portions are legit. If anything, I over-ordered because the tacos are more filling than they look. This place is operating at a level where they either need a bigger location or to start franchising--seriously. Only minor knock: the music was a bit loud for my personal preference. But that's it. Bottom line--well worth the stop. I'd go back without hesitation.

Props to the lady who apparently hurt her ankle who was still at work. But I'm sorry, just doesn't make up for the lack of quality. Small burrito, meat was the only flavored thing in it. Too much sour cream, the guac was very less and towards the bottom and wasn't even really guac. Just chunks of avocado. Fries were soggy, asked for them extra crispy and didn't get them that way lol. Tortilla was even undercooked a little. The al pastor taco was something else entirely lol. It had a nice flavor at first, then just completely turned into a mushy pork taco. No real flavor of al pastor, just salty then bland. Lemon helped a little and the tortilla itself was nice. But i would definitely skip the pastor. Salsas were great. The green salsa had a nice kick to it, cups sizes were nice and they gave the amount i asked for. Overall its gonna be a pass for me again.
