Out of all the places in Visalia, this place has the best raspados. I've had about every raspado that I know of in Visalia and it's not even close. I'm talking about the natural flavors and not the artificial flavors. They do take their time because they are well made. I went on Friday and got the mango lime mix raspado and it was delicious. Hey y'all I wanted to take a moment and and give some feedback and praise to this small business near downtown Visalia. Maxi Raspado always seems to have a good amount of people and I happen to pass by today right before their rush, so the wait time was pretty much zero. The environment seem very inviting and clean. And the staff was very kind and service oriented. Ordered the bananas, plat with strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, ice cream, Period. It was very rich and creamy. So I'm assuming that they are using quality ice cream for their business. I definitely indulged. And I also had a Mexican shaved ice treat called a raspado de leche quemada con nuez. This was creamy, rich in flavor, and the use of real walnuts played extremely well with flavors of the leche quemada. This place is 10 out of 10 on the flavor scale! Price was on point for the types of goodies consumed. And service was also a 10 out of 10. Thank you Maxi Raspados and I will definitely be back plenty more times over the summer. read more

They also make great smoothies, iced coffee, & bionicos (something I didn't know about before: a sweet fruit salad with granola & sweet cream....so amazing!) I visited this place yesterday and got a crepe with strawberries, bananas, and no ice cream for $7.50. Went back today, ordered the exact same thing, and was charged $8.50. I don't mind the extra dollar, but where's the consistency? I didn't get any extra Nutella, even though that was supposedly the reason for the price difference. If I had known, I would have just gotten the ice cream for the same price and added my own Nutella at home like I did both times. Im not one to complain and rant but today just showed me how this business is not taking accountability and willing to fix their mistakes. Today Sept 1, 2025 My kids, sister and I decided to go to Maxi's and get some raspados. We got there got in line and ordered. My FIRST order was a S raspado of Nance with lechera(condensed milk) , then I ordered a S vanilla raspado. The lady then asked if I wanted a Leche Quemada (burnt milk) or Vanilla Amarilla (yellow Vanilla) I told her yellow vanilla with lechera, then ordered and esquite (corn w/hot Cheetos) some plain takis and another S raspado coconut w/ pineapple. I payed and got my number and waited. My number gets called and I go up to receive my order.... They give me almost everything and then they give a raspado that looks dark. The lady tells me it's leche quemada (burnt milk) I kindly tell her that's not what I ordered. She closes the window and starts talking behind the window. Then the lady that took my order come to the window and tells me "this is what you ordered" I tell her no and I run down the order word for word with what I ordered and she decides to tell me "that's not what I understood" "I understood you say leche quemada(burnt milk)" I then tell her Ive never even had that before so I wouldn't even know what it tastes like. She tell me it taste like cajeta, and I kindly tell her im sorry but that's not what I ordered. She says "let me talk to the manager and see what they say" comes back less then a minute later and says " I can't take it back , I would have to charge you for a new one" I was honestly shocked and told her but why if that's not what I ordered and I've never even tasted this flavor before... She just shrugged and handed me the raspado. At this point I didn't want to press it further and took it and left. But I have never been more disappointed in their customer service EVER!!! The lack of accountability and wanting to correct and please a PAYING customer is crazy to me!!!!! As far as I know now this place is not what it use to be. This place is great for a snack stop! They have a lot of options for a sweet or salty treat. The wait can be a while but that's because they do have quite a lot of customers. I honestly cannot complain. We haven't had anything bad from here. The little shop connected has the most delicious ice cream and delicious tamarind treats. My son likes the elote esquites. With the the mayo, and the chili. I got the one with the hot Cheetoh 'dust' I guess you can say. I should have asked for extra chili because it wasn't very hot. The corn was cooked perfectly but I wasn't a fan of the amount of corn water on the bottom of the cups. Gave the overall taste more watery. I usually get their diablito or the manganeada. Both are amazing. The regular raspados are also very good. I've also had the Chamango and chamarindo and chamoyada. All are amazing. Location: it's convenient. Came here to get some relief from this Central Valley heat! They have an array of different shaved iced flavors as well as other Mexican favorites. My wife and I both got a shaved ice. Fair warning they can be very sweet. My wife got the leche quemada and nuez (burnt milk ans pecans). And no it doesn't taste burnt it's just what it's called. It's actually more of a steamed sweet milk. I got the coconut and pineapple. We went again a couple days later and I decided to go with just a natural lime flavor as I found the first one to be a bit sweet for my liking. My kids and I love coming to this place. Everything we've gotten here has been delicious. My favorite things to get here is pepino locos, tostilocos y esquite. You can't go wrong with ice, fruit, and milk. This place is pretty amazing and they know what they're doing. Small place, just a window outside to order and then another window for pick up. Usually a line but they serve fast so no need to wait long. I had their strawberry raspados with condensed milk. A must if you like creamy strawberry stuff. Had a good blend of chopped fresh strawberries and mixed just enough milk to not make it too sweet. I've also had their Glorias, basically the same but with bananas chopped also. Yummy! Just recently had their leche quemada with walnuts! Very delicious if you like nuts, creamy nutty and and cold. Such a nice shaved iced in the hot valley weather. And don't forget about their extensive menu, lots of good things to try. I haven't yet tried them all but will soon! Snacks I've tried is the equite Aka elote in a cup, steamed corn kernels with mayo cheese and bottled hot sauce! Yum! Also had their fruit cocktail, cucumbers, pineapples, mango, and jimaca drenched in lime juice and the mexican fruit spice. Overall, I can't have enough of this place. I love this place. They have tons of flavors for raspados (shaved ice), the best elotes, and bomb drinks. I grabbed a coconut drink... Ah-mazing! Tonight I ordered an elote, un esquite (Corn in a cup), coconut drink, and bubblegum raspado and paid $9. Not too shabby. This place is a local favorite!! They have quite an extensive menu and have something for everyone. My personal favorite is the Glorias raspado. It has banana, strawberries, sweetened condensed milk, and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. I love it!!! My husband usually gets the strawberries con crema (strawberries and cream). It's always yummy too. The only draw back is that this place is not in the nicest area however, the place is almost always so busy that there are plenty of people around and you never have any problems. My chips had no sauce or chili at all and I don't remember only ordering cueritos with my tostiloco because that's all I basically got.
