Great food without the heave feel. The shrimp spring rolls were great and the #59 with rice noodles was cooked perfect I added some hot chili oil for a little kick. They are quick and friendly even when busy a definite must try.

We love this place and have been here too often to count. Two dishes have become our staples: 1) Broken rice with egg and chicken and 2) Tofu (or chicken) bún (vermicelli bowl). The Bún has a bit different flavor with a sort of barbeque type sauce I really like that makes this one stand out.

We had the pork bao buns, dumplings as appetizers, which were both great. Bao buns were better than the dumplings, but the dumplings were still good! Then we had the chicken pho & beef/brisket pho. Both were awesome and well worth the price, lots of noodles, meat was tender and the broth flavorful. Out of all of the restaurants we visited during our week in Westfield, this was our favorite! If we are ever in town again, we would be sure to eat here again!

Good food and the wait wasn't too long. The spring rolls were very tasty and the peanut sauce was good. The chicken pho was flavorful and had an interesting spice added to it that made it different from other pho we've had before. The vermicelli bowl I had was good except the pork spring roll it came with wasn't cooked the best, it was soggy and not crispy. We went late at night, which we were glad it stayed opened late, but bubble tea isn't available then since it's so late.

Really quaint, family run Vietnamese restaurant in Westfield. The owner and head chef is a women who is always impeccably dressed despite working in a kitchen. She frequently came out and welcomed guests, many of whom were regulars. Vietnamese music played quietly in the background of soft lighting and comfy booths, each table with its traditional accompaniment of soy sauce, sriracha, chop sticks, and soup spoons. I had to get the pho and was not disappointed. The broth was perfumed with richness from the bones. The meat was perfectly cooked, likely having been added to the soup raw and cooking, further flavoring the broth. As usual, it came with Thai basil, line, and bean sprouts, all portions were fresh. 100% what I needed and wanted on a cold end of winter/beginning of spring day. All very reasonably priced. Go eat here and support local.

Nice addition to town. Pho and the BBQ beef vermicelli were both excellent. Shrimp rolls were also nice. The Vietnamese chicken curry was just ok, nice flavor but could be spicier also just not a fan of the random bones and cartilage. Looking forward to trying the desserts and bubble tea on future visits! read more

Definitly was fulfilling. Anyone who is a pho eater knows that with pho you can finish a whole bowl and still feel like you have room to eat more lol but thats not the case with this place! Ordered a number 17 and it literally put me in a food coma! Sooo full! read more

There are better restaurants. Lady was rude and was not helpful when I ordered. The place looked very dirty and I thought the menu pricey. They do not offer lunch specials. The food was good but the service and dirty restaurant left me without an appetite so I took it all home. Not a date place. read more

Popped in at the end of lunch hours. I ordered the Dumpling soup. No choice on dumpling filling since they only had chicken. Received a very generous portion quickly. For my main meal I ordered ordered the #34 Rice Vermicelli/ "Bun Thit". I opted for bbq beef. It was complemented with pickled vegetables, romaine lettuce, tomato, and a side sauce. Another generous, fresh ingredient dish that presented wonderfully. If I knew more about Vietnamese food, was to remain in the area...I am sure I would visit often. Awesome Lunch ! read more

The spring rolls were large and full of good ingredients, but the rice paper was a little thick. The vermicelli had plenty of good vegetables, lots of noodles, and a pretty good fish sauce. My girlfriend really loves it as leftovers as well. read more

This is hands down, our favorite restaurant in Westfield! We come here at least once a week... we have seriously considered offering to wash dishes so we can eat here more often... ha! Anyways, they have plenty of options for vegetarians/ vegans... their tofu is simply delicious! All their sauces are amazing, all the flavors to die for, portions are generous, and I just love the owner, she's so sweet! They get an A+++ from me! read more

The 1st review I gave was a good one, purely based on the food. It was awesome. This day I got there about 6:25 on a Friday - it was pretty busy. So while the waitress ran about; the only woman running the front and phones, I helped myself to a menu to place a take out order. As I stood there waiting, she sat 2 tables that came in to dine, then she took 2 phone orders. When she was done with that, mind you I am standing right in front of her, a man steps up to pay for his meal. She looked over my shoulder at him, reached across me to take his check. Whaat??!! Then takes another phone order and seats 2 more tables that walked in. I should of left then! But determined to get take out to take home, I placed a really simple order 2 fried rice, 1 pad thai. She says 20/25 minutes. Okay I thought, its busy - I can wait my turn. As I sat and waited all the tables that walked in while I was there placed their orders and received their food. When I walked out with my food an hour had gone by, yes she was all apologetic, but no excuse! Be more accurate with time, and I should have received my order before those people that walked in after me!!! read more

Vegetable fried rice is the freshest I've had had anywhere! All there food looks great I will definitely be back to try other dishes. It wasn't traditional fried rice that you feel guilty about eating afterwards. It was loaded with fresh veggies, Thai iced tea is amazing as well! read more

Saw all the great reviews and wanted to give this place a spin. Bad idea. The waitress came over couldn't of been more than 16 took our drink and food order at the same time we ordered a few appetizers and and entrees. My first complaint was that everything came out at the same time. Literally everything 4 appetizers and all of our entrees at the same time we had no room on the table for anything. Second complaint was that all the meat from every dish was questionable, was not a fan of the texture or taste of any of the meat although the veggies were fresh so that was nice! Third complaint was that the very American woman who checked back on us asked if we knew how to eat everything?!(yes in fact we did because half of us were Vietnamese so none of this food is new to us) and asked if we knew how to use chopsticks!?! (duh, who doesn't these days) Whoever had any positive review must of been super lucky or hasn't had any actually good Vietnamese food. read more

Was planning on a nice lunch today but was anything but. The spring rolls were fine and so was the vegetable pho. The waitress we had, Hannah who had served us many times was right on spot. She explained menu and we ordered. The owner came in during the lunch crowd and screwed up the table orders. She delivered another table's order to my table then redelivered to the right table. Then the owner came out to my table to clarify a dish we ordered. I said no tofu in anything. She delivered the dish with tofu. I sent it back, she apologized and came out with the dish again with tofu. She said they tried picking it out of the plate. I asked her to remove from bill and she proceeded to tell me that the first waitress made the mistake and I disagreed with her. The first waitress read back our order and it was perfect. Then she tried making excuses saying the cook couldn't remember. She fired the first waitress right on the spot for her mistakes! She did it in front of everyone. Not the experience any patron would want to sit through. Take a ride to Springfield for true Pho and great reputable service. While updating this review another table exited and they said it was an awful experience and the owner tried blaming the whole situation on the other waitress. They said they didn't want to hear it and left. They said that they had Hannah on three seperate occasions and was excellent. read more

Excellent food! The atmosphere isn't fancy but this is a true Mom and Pop so service can reflect that when busy - be patient, it's worth it. I always try to work in a trip to Alo Saigon when I'm in town and have never been disappointed. Prices are reasonable too. read more

Was meh. Coming from a family with Vietnamese roots the food was subpar. Got the bo luc lac and it was pretty salty. Family member got the bun bo hue the soup felt like a regular stock broth and just added a slight bun bo hue coloring and flavor. Westfield needs to step their Vietnamese cuisine up. read more

10/10 Food & Prices: The food is amazing for an affordable price! You get so much (almost too much) without having to splurge. Rather than ordering water, I'd definitely recommend the tea. It's delicious. (for reference, I paid ~$19.00 for Chicken Pho and a huge cup of Thai Boba.) 3.5/10 Atmosphere: The restaurant looks well kept and tidy, but that's only at a first glance. The seats are quite sticky, there's bugs on the walls, and it's just not very sanitary. According to other customers, there's even been cockroaches on the walls *and* coming out of their menus. 0/10 Service: Throwing everything aside, the Owner & Staff are VERY rude. My friend and I were trying to pay, and she ripped my friend's card out of her hand, and kept yelling at us when we couldn't understand her thick accent. But to top it all off, the second we paid, she shooed us away with her hand and said, "Get out", which ruined pretty much our entire experience. Overall, a nice place to get good food for cheap, but don't overlook the cleanliness. Tl;dr; Good place if you don't mind taking a gamble on whether or not a bug will be in your food, but don't go there unless you're into an old woman yelling at you when you try to pay. I don't think I'll be going back there, but it was nice while the good qualities lasted. (Side note: The owner is particularly rude to younger people. The first delightful surprise was the free tea that was served. Sampling its gentle flavor, I realized it was Thai ice tea, which is usually found in big cities, and it's very refreshing (and not usually free). You may already know the greatness of Vietnamese food with its vibrant yet subtle flavors and huge variety. Meats, seafood, carefully prepared veggies (sometimes carved into shapes), several types of noodles, tasty pho soup, etc. For you fans out there, they have the Banh Xeo, the yummy Vietnamese egg pancake! While we recognized many things from years of experience, each menu section seemed to have some pleasant surprises we hadn't seen - it's a big menu - serious chef at work. We started with a tasty shared appetizer, and both of our entrees were beautiful. The service was very attentive and super-friendly. It's a clean, not overly fancy place. Bonus: Vietnamese food is one of the best food bargains. We'll be back and we hope to see you there! read more

Alo Saigon on Elm Street here in Westfield is great. Great food, the Pho is amazing here. Fresh lime and jalapenos for my pho is a great combination of flavors. Come here and enjoy great Pho. read more
